In the second trimester of 8th grade, everything was going smoothly. Eimi and her friends were playing and texting like normal friends and practicing their qi, which was the magical life force of a living being. Her gang, The Elemental Guardians thought that everything would be normal, but one day, something changed. When she was in the middle of placing away her belongings in her locker, she heard a loud crash. It was shortly accompanied by many screams and cruel laughter. Since Eimi had already been in battle class and mastered her qi, she summoned it. It swirled around her, giving her a boost of energy. Her feet lifted off the ground, and blue ribbons made out of qi wrapped around her head, swaying in the breeze. Blue qi surrounded her body, forming some kind of clothing that would be impossible to break. Then Eimi flew out, her hands glowing with power.

Eimi reached the source of the screams and saw five hooded figures crushing things under their feet and tearing through walls. The hallway was a mess with dazed pupils lying everywhere and broken walls and furniture. "Where are the Royal Emblems of the 5 major planets?!?" one roared, pointing at a pupil who was trapped in a cage made of qi. The pupil was trembling. He didn't say anything. "You asked for it!!!'' The hooded figure raged and reached through the bars of the cage and slapped the boy across the face. The boy cried out and clutched his cheek. His cry pierced Eimi's ears, and she felt her qi intensify, and the burning rage inside her heart.

"You let him go, right now, and LEAVE THE SCHOOL," Eimi threatened, "or you WILL regret that you came here in the first place!"

"Oh, look who's here! We can go with the other part of our plan now!" a hooded figure spun around and sneered in her face. "Eimi, the SO-CALLED Keeper of the Eagle Current? Well, look at her! She's all alone! Let's get her, and King Kaito will grieve over the death of his only daughter if he chose wrong! Good! All part of our plan!" all the hooded figures' hands glowed with qi and they homed in on Eimi, cackling maniacally.

"Ahh! Wall of Water!" Eimi quickly held out her hands and projected a wall of water between her and the figures. They blasted their attacks on her wall, and Eimi grunted, trying to hold it steady as they blasted more. She paused for a second and shot beams of her own and continued defending. After some time of fighting, Eimi felt her qi fading and her strength disappearing. Someone help me, I can't face them all on my own! She thought.

As if on cue, the hooded figures were knocked to the ground by colorful beams of qi, and Eimi turned to see her team and her best friends, the Elemental Guardians: Hinoko, Mei, Riku, and Noa. "Need help, Eimi?" Hinoko laughed. All of them were covered in their qi of different colors. "Well, we're here to help!" Noa shouted, and blasted a hooded figure as it tried to climb up back to its feet.

"Thank you so much, girls!" Eimi said gratefully and joined her friends. They grinned at her. "We have to take them out! I heard that they wanted to search for the Royal Emblems of the 5 major planets... and something about kidnapping me, and my father grieving over my death if he chose wrong, but what is it?"

"That's not good... If they get the emblems, they could force the king and queen to give them their planet! But why do they want to kidnap you though?" a shadow fell across Riku's face.

"And why do they want to take on Aquolio first?" Eimi was at her breaking point.

"I know! They want to kidnap you because you are King Kaito's daughter! If they capture you, they can threaten to kill you if he doesn't give them the emblem!" Hinoko gasped.

"Then why do they want to take on Aquolio first, though?"

"I don't know! But let's take out the intruders first! They're getting back up on their feet!" Mei gestured frantically, and all of their gazes swooped toward the hooded figures.

"Quick! Knock them all out! We can't do the first part of the plan anymore, there's too much security!" the leader of the hooded figures roared.

"Girls, let's do a convergence!" Eimi shouted. The 5 friends held hands and shouted, "Elemental Guardians Convergence!" a bright light of qi, burst out from their qis and surged towards the intruders. They tried to block it, but the qi easily broke through their shield. The light pushed them outside of the building with great impact and sent them flying through the air, to somewhere far, far, away.
