Episode Ten (Clip Three)
(Two years earlier......)
(21:00hrs)
Heartbroken Katie walked down the streets of the shop lots. The black hair wasn't upset because she had been kicked out of her ballet class but she knew she would get a great punishment from her aunt when she gets back home. So instead, she decided to take her time walking down the empty night streets.
Her hood was over her head as her mp3 player was playing some calm music. It was her 10th-year-old birthday gift from her dad before he and her mother died in an accident in the United States. Katie knew that smartphones now could play music and she was bullied a lot because she was still using an mp3 player but she didn't care. The thing was a part of her she didn't want to let go. It was the only memory of her parents.
A group of four drunks in an alleyway watched the 17-year-old past by. They licked their lips as they approach the girl.
"Hey there pretty," A man in his late 30s flirted with her. "What's a pretty girl like you doing this late at night." He spoke in Japanese.
"None of your business!" Katie yelled at the man, feeling disgusted. She soon kept her earphones and mp3 player into her pocket and pushed the man away but his friends soon cornered her making sure that she can't escape.
The man then grabbed her hand and began pushing into the alleyway.
"Stop, let me go!!!" Katie cried but the man pushed her against the brick wall and began licking on her neck.
"So smooth...." The man murmured into her ear, making her squirm helplessly.
"Don't worry," The man assured her. "I'll take good care of you."
Katie thought it was over. She was about to get raped by four drunken Japanese men, thrown into some unknown river and probably drown and die like the nobody she was. No one will come for her, no one will rescue her. Maybe she won't even be discovered and put on the papers. She would die alone.
Then suddenly, a sound of tin cans rattling came from the rubbish dump. The men stopped abusing Katie for a while and glanced at the source of the sound. A serpent with scales of red and black spots came out of it.
"A snake?!" The men exclaimed, not knowing it to be a serpent. Only Katie knew what the animal was but it didn't make sense.
"What's a sea serpent doing here?!" They were a 100 miles away from the coastline, it was impossible for a serpent to travel all the way there.
In a flash, the serpent leaped and attacked!! Going for the man who held Katie who began screaming for his dear life. It went inside the man's mouth, the group looked at the man in shock. Suddenly, he began puking no stop and fell to the floor unconscious.
The three drunks looked at their friend in horror as the serpent came out of the unconscious man and started to grew and grew......... till it was 10 feet tall!!!
The men ran in fear upon seeing the beast leaving Katie in the alleyway. The black haired girl didn't know what to do. She couldn't move being so heavily shocked.
The serpent turned and looked at her. It's yellow eyes locking into hers. Katie closed her eyes in fear of becoming it's feast.
"Don't be afraid." A feminine voice assured her. The black haired girl opened her eyes, shocked at the serpent talking to her.
"I've seen your struggles and difficulties. That's why I came to help you."
"What are you?" Katie asked softly.
"I'm an elemental spirit." The serpent claimed.

(Present date, New York Manhattan)
(0400hrs)
"GWWAAAH!!!!" Katie shot up from her bed, sweating heavily. Her memory had played itself on her dream. The day she met Candy.
The now blue haired girl lived in an apartment she was able to afford while doing jobs as a pizza deliverer. She lives in New York nowadays, the place being her hometown before her parents passed away but now she was back and swore never to live somewhere else again. She loved Manhattan, the people, the scenery maybe even just the city skyline satisfies her on her gloomy days.
She checks her alarm clock beside her. It was 4 o'clock in the morning. She then made her way to the garage at the bottom of the apartment where she and her neighbors kept their cars. Her metallic sky blue Mazda FD RX-7 sat there. It had a new BN sports body kit that she modified during December. The FD now had a bigger wing, bumper and was fitted with a carbon fiber hood.
"Hey Katie, anything wrong?" Her partner asked her upon seeing the girl in her night clothes and her blue hair a mess.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just checking up on you." She assured her FD and sat on her carbon fiber hood.
"I had a dream," Katie began. "When we first met."
"You mean the time I saved your ass from those drunks?" The FD said as they both laughed heartily.
"Thanks, Candy." The blue hair said. "Without you, I would probably be raped, thrown into some random river and be forgotten. But when you came into my life, everything changed. You even introduced me to an awesome drift racing life. My life changed with you."
"Oh come on Katie, I'm glad I have a partner like you too." Her FD said.
"You're the best car a woman could get," Katie told her RX-7.
"You are a great partner too." Candy told her partner.
Then, Katie noticed the ring on her fourth finger. JL's father's ring.
"Hey! You can't do that! That ring was given by my mother. It's the only memory I have of her."
"I took his only memory of his parents. What was I thinking?" Katie thought. "Place myself in his position and how would I feel. Lost."
The blue haired girl looked at the ring feeling guilty a little. "I'll try to learn drifting from him quicker so I could give it back to him soon."
"Anyway, I hate to say it but...." Katie looked up from the ring. "I wonder how is he doing right now?"

"Oh, I'm doing great!! Just great!!!" JL sarcastically said as one of his newly purchase NISMO racing tyres were punctured badly.
"Calm down dude we got a supply van here," Joel told the frustrated blue hair. "We'll just replace it with a spare and you could buy a new one back home."
"Man, that's gotta cost me another cool 500 ringgit to get that replaced." JL sighed as he opened a can of his favorite drink, Coke and gulped down the contents.
The team stopped at the summit to have a water break and to adjust their car's settings to suit the terrain better.
Mr. Kenner was working on Louis' BMW i8, with the hood up and engine exposed. Whirling and creaking sounds were heard as the mechanic worked on the car.
"Pass me that wrench." Mr. Kenner would say and Louis would assist him on it.
"Maybe I could adjust the suspension settings for you." The mechanic said, turning to Louis. "It should take just a couple of tweaks."
Louis shook his head slightly. "Nah, it's ok. I've decided I'm not racing tonight."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I figured that these guys are good but not that good," Louis claimed as he glanced at some of the Badly Daredevils. "I like to see the race go down from the stands."
"So who your gonna choose to race against them?" Marcus, the Brit asked Louis.
The hoodie thought for a bit. "Well, Rhys hadn't raced yet. I'll choose him then."
"Great," Marcus said as he turned to the American. "Hey, Rhys!! Your bloody ass is up!!"
"Rhys??"
The indigo hair was leaning on the guardrail with his earplugs on at full volume.
He heard the team calling him a little and lowered an earplug from his left ear. "Sorry, you were saying?"
"You're up next, tomorrow," Marcus told the indigo hair who didn't look surprised and continued on listening to his music.
"Cool." Was all he said before putting back his earplug in his left ear.
The team stared at him hopelessly.
"He still has his emo attitude." Prayter sighed crossing his arms.
"Let's hope this race could refresh him in some way."

Elemental Drifters: The Second Stage

(Downtown, Los Angeles)
(The next day, 12:00hrs)
Rhys walked down the streets of his hometown with his earplugs on. He glanced at many pedestrians and working class men and women walking by.
"Los Angeles hasn't changed a bit." He thought, running through his indigo dyed hair. He remembered a bit of his past.
(Flashback)
(Five years ago...)
"I'm not leaving this place!!! You can go back to New York yourself!!!" The man yelled at his wife.
"Find!! Then maybe I will!! I wished we've never meet Victor!!" She yelled back furiously.
Their two children, young Rhys, and girl sat on the floor beside them shocked.
"What's gonna happen to us?" The girl asked scared. She was only about 9 years old, hugging her brother in fear.
"Don't worry I'll protect you," Rhys assured her, grabbing his raven haired sister tightly.
Then, the wife came and grabbed the boy's hand, forcing away.
"Come on Rhys let's go!!" She demanded, heading towards the door.
Both brother and sister never saw it coming. They didn't want to be apart but their parents had forced them. The father went with the girl and the mother went with Rhys.
"Rhys!!!" His sister calls out for him one last time before her mother drags him out, slamming the wooden door behind.

His little sister was all he wanted to see for a long time. But he never had the guts to approach her after five long years.
"Five years ago she was just 10 years old. She would probably be 15 right now." Rhys thought as he drove his S2000 towards his location.
His partner noticed. "You ok bruh?"
Rhys sighed. "I don't know man. I just miss my little sis."
"You do? I may not have any family members but I think I know how you feel."
"I'm fine Razor," Rhys assured his partner as he continued to drive down the streets of his hometown.
"What would she think of me now?"
(Flashback)
(Six years ago..)
Rhys and his sister were in the park's playground while their parents were out. The indigo hair vaulted over a bench expertly as his sister's friends watched him in awe. The indigo hair landed on the ground and did a roll before stopping on his left knee, the kids 'whoed' in unison.
"Amazing, how did you do that?" A girl with black rimmed glasses asked. Rhys got up and brushed off some dirt and small pieces of grass from his white shirt and short pants.
"It isn't really that difficult if you put more practice into your skill." He said a thumb pointed at himself.
"Whoa... what is it?" A boy cluelessly asked. Rhys chuckled as he placed both of his hands on his hips.
"It's called parkour, it's a really useful skill, from dodging other objects on your way to leaping from high grounds." The 14-year-old explained. "It's to minimize your injuries when you're on the run."
"Ya, I've heard of it before." Another boy said.
"Well, it's not like I'll need to run from anything, besides I hate getting all sweaty." A girl boasted.
"Your brother sure knows a lot of cool stuff!" A boy turned to Rhys' sister who smiled.
"Yeah, he's awesome."
"Well then, we should be heading back now. It's getting dark." Rhys said holding his sister's hand.
The group of kids waved at the siblings as they left the park.

(20:00hrs)
Rhys drove up to his old house. A white bungalow at the Beverly hills. His parents were rich but not loving to their two children. Their divorce only made matters worse.
The indigo hair parked his S2000 close by and stared at the main wooden door to the house by the small cliff. His feet on the same old mat with a 'welcome' written on it. He took a deep breath and ringed the doorbell hoping to see his sister for such a long time. But no one answered. After a few more failed attempts, he claimed that no one was at home. However, Rhys had came prepared, the indigo hair took a small piece of paper from his pocket and slipped it into the letter hatched on the wooden door.
He stood at the entrance for a while, waiting for anyone who could come home at that time. After a while, he took a glanced at his watch and realize it to be half an hour already. Disappointed, he turned and left in his S2000 taking off towards Mount Badly.

(21:00hrs, Mount Baldy)
The summit of the mountain was bigger than anyone had expected. Louis and the team gathered at their side of the guardrail while the Badly Daredevils were their side.
Louis was on his smartphone taking a call. Airi was on the other end of it.
"Ok Louis," The purple hair began. "I've checked the specs between both cars the Honda S2000 and Nissan GT-R R35. But the thing is our opponent's R35 is modded to the max with 490 horsepower and 290 kilograms lighter than the stock."

(04:00hrs, Tokyo, Japan)
"Rhys' S2000 is stock except for the GT wing and racing tyres." Airi said into her phone as typed on her laptop, burning the midnight oil. Her eyes were like ones from a panda and her purple hair a mess. "*yawns* Ok, the stock S2000s got about 178kw packing in that naturally aspirated inline-4 VTEC engine which is 239 horses at most. It's curb weight is about a 1295 kilograms so it's lighter than the GT-R. But at the straights, we've got a disadvantage due to the GT-R having more horsepower........" Airi began to doze off into sleep.
"err...Airi? Airi!"
Airi: "WHAT?! Oh.. sorry just doze off....." *starts to sleep again*
"Are you ok? I think you should go take a rest." Louis suggested on the phone but the purple hair quickly denies.
"No..... I'm fine...... I still gotta finish planning the next meet up tomorrow.
......" The 20-year-old said as her head immediately fell onto the table with a loud *THUD!!* and went into a deep sleep.

Flash swore he heard Airi snoring, he immediately blushes a little because her breathing was so soft and a little cute. He ended the call, thinking it was pointless to continue hearing her sleep.
The hoodie walked up towards Mr. Kenner who was working on the S2000s. He fiddled with the suspension setting with his wrench and finished as the hoodie walked up to him.
"Ah Louis," The mechanic said looking up. "I've just finished with the suspension so it could suit the terrain."
"Thanks, Mr. Kenner." Louis said before turning to Rhys. The indigo hair was back at listening music. Not worrying about the events around him.

Soon the Baldy Daredevils came to meet Louis and his team with an important announcement. The cheers from the crowd died down with the wind when Loid held his hand up.
"Ok, I'm gonna explain about the course here." The black hair announced. "We'll be doing a cat and mouse race or sudden death match tonight since Mount Baldy roads here are narrow. We'll be taking the Glendora Ridge road down to the city where the corners are more deadlier and challenging."
"We'll let your team decide the position since we're the locals," Newman told his opponents who nodded slowly.
Louis turned to his team as they huddled together. "Alright, guys what do you think?"
"I know!!" JL had an idea. "Let Rhys go with the lead position. That way he could at least get the feel of the course and prone his rhythm on it. And since the course is too narrow for any passing, the GT-R would be blocked by Rhys' S2000s blue ass of a bumper all the way till the next round."
"Yeah, and not only that," Joel joined in the huddle. "If Rhys could go a little more aggressively on the first run, his opponent would have to keep up with his pace and due to that, we can bait him into wearing the tyres on his GT-R more. Therefore, the second run could be easier for Rhys to manage."
"Yeah, that's a bloody great idea lad!" Marcus cheered happily.
"GT-Rs are so easy to beat!" Prayter said happily.
JL and Marcus: "Hey Prayter, mind repeating that." *emit their scary auras*
Prayter: *laughs nervously*
"Well, what do you think Rhys?" Louis asked the indigo hair who was quiet the whole time. He then looked up and said.....
"Sorry guys, you all did make really good points but this is my race and I want to run it my way." He demanded, confusing the team.
"I think I wanna chase him first."
The team: "WHAT?!"
To be continued......
