Snowstorm, 1st Person

The day after the new moon, I went out hunting with Moonbeam.
"Let's go hunt by the Far Border! No one ever goes to hunt there anymore! Maybe we can find extra mice!" I squealed excitedly.
"Fine. But, in the case that there is a reason that no one hunts there anymore, I put the full blame on you." Moonbeam said, looking tired and even more grumpy than usual.
"Let's go then!"
About 20 minutes later and plowing through the more planted areas of StormClaw territory, we reached the Far Border. I trotted into a small den formed from low tree branches and bushes. Moonbeam followed. I sniffed the air to see if there were any cats near by. No one really used this place for anything anymore, so I should be able to pick a scent off of any cat who was walking through the area. Nothing. I started the interrogation immediately.
"I saw you walking out of camp last night," I asked in a quiet tone. I wanted to find out what Moonbeam had been doing, but I was her friend and did not want her to get caught. "What were you doing? You know that is banned."
"Are you going to report me? Because if you do, Queen Snowpaw will never see the tip of my tail again, let alone punish me." Moonbeam looked into my eyes. I lost. I backed down and looked away. I also knew what Moonbeam said was true. She could disappear into thin air if she wanted to.
"Look, if I wanted to report you, I would have told Queen Snowpaw last night so that she could watch you sneak back into camp. I also would not have brought you here to the most desolate region of this territory if I wanted to report you."
"Okay. Basically I don't have any real friends in the StormClaws except for you. I meet up with a PulseClaw and an InfernoClaw every new moon."
"How long have you been visiting them?" I asked suspiciously. I felt kind of rejected for Moonbeam not telling me about this.
"About 12 new moons."
"A year! And you had not thought to tell me about this for a whole year! I thought I was your friend!" I exclaimed loudly, then remembered to keep my voice down.
"If I got caught, I did not want you to get caught with me. I also knew that you can't quite keep a secret for very long before you just have to tell someone. Plus, it was easier for just me to sneak out of camp at night."
I had to admit, her words held some truth. It was easier for one cat to sneak out of camp then two. And, I did not have a very good track record of keeping secrets. I usually let the dog out of the cage too early. Still, I would have been able to keep this important secret.
"Fine. But who are these cats that you are meeting with? " I asked, wanting to find out more information.
"Promise you won't tell anybody? Not even that pet rock of yours?"
"I DON'T EVEN HAVE A PET ROCK!" I shouted as loud as I would dare.
"Tell me about it . You don't think I heard that you named it Hardfur? Along with the rest of the tribe as you were singing to it?"
"Wait, cats heard that?" I asked, embarressed.
"You do realize that StormClaws do have ears on top of their heads, right? I wonder whether you heard all the laughing that went with it too."
"Okay, okay. We are straying off topic. Who are these friends of yours, and yes, I promise not to tell anyone?" I said, trying to stop Moonbeam from laughing her whiskers off.
"The InfernoClaw is Firestorm, and the PulseClaw is Lightningstruck." Two different things ran through my at the same time. The InfernoClaw's name didn't ring any bells, but the PulseClaw's did. According to Joltingbolt, who kind of ran everything even though the PulseClaws had a democracy, Lightningstruck was said to have very litle power and was always causing the PulseClaws trouble. Along with a great magnitude of things.
"Wait, Lightningstruck? The white furred cat?" I asked for confirmation.
"Yep. And you do realize that most of what Joltingbolt says is untrue."
"It is?"
"Yep. Now back to talking about Hardfur." Moonbeam collapsed in a fur ball of laughter.
My light grey fur started to fel sweaty and uncomfortable.

I am not sure if this is just happening to my device, but on mine you need to scroll down a little before turning the page to read all the words. Not sure if this has happened to anybody else. Also, I am still looking for names for all tribes. Please post names that you don't mind me using in this book in the comments section. Need as many as possible. Thanks if you have already posted some. Sorry for the wait for the update! Could not think of ideas or names. Thanks for reading!
