~Prologue~

"You must," a demanding voice came from a nearby treebranch.
"Why?" Asked another, scared and crouching down on the hard ground. The air was silent and humid.
"You must," the voice repeated.
"Show yourself." The small figure on the ground was dreading what the figure would be. Her light grey fur shone in the moonlight, and for once she hated her fur, which stood out against the ground, highlighting her small figure.
"All of the other tribes have fallen under my spell, so why won't you, I wonder. Hmmm, let me think about this." The cat in the trees laughed, the voice dripping in sarcasm. "And about showing myself, you might recognize me from pictures on the walls of the PulseClaw prison you went to. All of those inmates feared me, including the weak Guards. Those strange little cats, which I figure now you must call the Ancient Cats nowdays. Thinking they could imprison me," the voice chuckled. The small cat backed away in fear and confusion. She was sure that the voice had been destroyed years ago. No, it couldn't be that one.
"I guess as you have already seen my power, and have already heard it being cast on someone other than you, you are invunerable, and I know only certain cats can fall victim to this Old Elemental Spell. But, unfortunately for you, there are still two cats in your precious pride that can fall for this spell. And I am sure you are aware that if you tell the wrong cats, I can take possesion over both of them. Yet, if you tell the cats that could fall for this Spell, you may do more harm then good, as while you are an Ancient Elemental, they are not."
The lithe cat trembled. She backed away quickly, and started to run as far away as possible. Her pawsteps crunched on the dried leaves. An owl shrieked in the distance, singing it's battle cry against a small mouse. A small voice itched in the back of her brain:
Who could these cats be who may be victim? Am I ready?
