Moonbeam, 1st Person
My head was spinning. All I could see was grey, plus a few vague yellow figures, and a blueish one. My eyes started to focus. I almost fainted by the stench. I had a really bad headache. Then I remembered what happened. I tried to sit up. I saw what appeared to be two of the AncientClaws that I was attacked by, the TsunamiClaw and the PulseClaw. They were talking quietly, or I could still not hear as well as I should.
"See if you can track down the other three," One of the other PulseClaws called to the AncientClaws, as they walked off. I took a good look at my surroundings. I noticed that I wasn't just seeing grey, but I was in a cave. There were also thin, tall metal bars along two sides, and cave wall along the third and fourth. I looked up in awe at the huge metal bars. How a cat could ever drag those and mount them into place was beyond me. They even sparked. I reached out to touch them, then realised that I was probaly in the PulseClaw prison and that they were most likely sparking with electricity and thought better about touching the metal. I saw one of the PulseClaws, who I decided must be a guard, look at me with amusement. He was standing just in front of the cave entrance. I peered out through the second wall of metal bars, facing away from the guard, careful not to touch them. I stared with amazement. The cats who made these dens must have been really strong to carry all the metal, but how would you find all that metal? Sometimes it turned up on the ground in tiny fragments, but not even one of these bars worth at once. There were rows of similiar dens lining the cave, except the others had three walls of bars, and the dens' back to the cave wall. I figured that I must have been placed at one of the corner dens, so I had two walls of cave.
"They are called cells," the guard told me, seeing that I was looking with interest at the so called cells. "You are the youngest prisoner that this prison has held in the last few hundred years. We decided to be nice and give you an entrance cell so you could still see the sun." I looked at the other cells. They all eventually faded into darkness, with only the occasional spark as light.
"Do cats actually occupy the cells in the dark?" I asked quietly, terrified if cats actually lived in those cells.
"Yeah." I tried to imagine the living in those cells. I shuddered.
"Why am I prisoner?" I asked, wondering how the guard would respond.
"I am not allowed to tell you, and honestly don't really understand why."
A few minutes later, the guard post switched. I really saw no point in a guard. No one could escape the electrified bars. I took a good look at the inside of my cell, and saw words and pictures inscribed on the cave walls. There were words that seemed to be names of other inmates imprisoned here. That was not helping improve the mood of my cell. There were several other pictures, but what really caught my eye were the older pictures. They must have been scratched with cat claws, but they had amazing details, expecially compared to the other pictures. The whole back wall had nothing but these older pictures. I looked at them, fascinated. I was still scared, but studying the pictures took my mind off of what might happen to Snowstorm or even if she had escaped the AncientClaws. I hope she is okay.....
A few of the old drawings were just pictures of fire, but there was also one of a forest on fire, several cats on fire, and a trees lying flat on the ground. There were also several others, but they were all just pictures related to fire. All of the pictures on the other wall were different and had nothing to do with fire, and looked more recent. Awhile later, as the sun started to set, and I started to shiver, a guard came around with food for the imprisoned cats. I watched as she grabbed one of the larger mice from the pile and pushed it through the bars with a small branch to prevent from touching the sparking bars. She also slid a large animal skin that looked like a large vole. I muttered my thanks for the blanket which I figured most prisoners didn't get by the expression on her face. I tried to get as comfortable as possible on the cold floor and tried to sleep. I had nightmares about metal bars trying to stab me.
