Chapter 11: May the Training Begin!
Sera trotted into her- a little over dimly lit -room. With sleepy eyes and an overly exhausted body, she threw herself on her bed. The bed slowly sunk in like a marshmallow as she press her weight down on the mattress. And for the first time, she genuinely felt as though she was on the verge of indulging herself into a nice decent slumbe-
"-Wake up, Maggot!!" the fire bird yelled from top of an orange painted dresser. A megaphone laid perfectly at her feet so she could instruct her loud commands through it.
"Noo! I. Am. Tired! Therefore, I will be going to sleep, right now and You can not do anything to stop me!" Sera groaned, covering her ears with a large pillow to block out any sound; as she previous done with her mother. "Hmph."
Phoenix huff in annoyance. Then using the fire she generate from her left wing, she burned both the covers and pillow Sera was laying on. Since Sera is the fire element, she wasn't affected by the flames but the same cannot be said for her large red covers. "You were saying."
"You monster! Those were my friends you just disintegrated! How am I supposed to sleep now?" Sera bawled, as she pretended to wipe the fake tears that fell from her eyes.
"Well you should have thought of that before you challenged me and you went scouting around the castle during the middle of the night," Phoenix affirmed with no trace of sympathy in her voice.
"Wait a second...how the hell did you know about that!?"
"You knocked down bookshelves for gosh sake! Anyone could figure that out."
"Well...In that case. why didn't you stop us?"
"Because I was tired, duh," Phoenix answered simply before returning back to the megaphone to continue her tormented coaching,"TRAINING STARTS IN SEVEN MINUTES. GET DRESS AND MEET ME IN THE GARDEN MAGGOT! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" Sera hopped out the bed as quickly as she could. She felt so pressured, despite the fact that Phoenix gave her no threats to ensure fear.
Sera opened a yellow door, which she assumed was the closet. She was right, it indeed lead to the closet; but surprisingly it stretched out as though it was a long hallway. It was filled with long elegant gowns that ranged from different shades of red and orange. Various types of shoes that one couldn't possibly find even in the most wealthiest stores. And many expensive accessories from real jewels. Sera was amazed by the variety but slightly disappointed. She never had an interest in gowns, or girly things in general. But when considering her options were strictly limited she had no choice but to pick one of the dresses.
Upon searching for the most 'her-type' of outfit, she found a short sleeve dress. It was bright red with orange flames, that grew brighter around the end of the dress. It had a white sparkly belt at the waist. Sera grabbed dress, confirming that it just might be the most casual outfit she would find.
"I guess this will have to do. Geez, is this place against pants or something," Sera complained to herself, wondering whether she should begin a 'Pants Lives Matter' campaign or not. She then looked at the dress which she held so firmly. A mischievous grin plastered across her face. "Hmmmmm."
Sera made her way over to the vanity that laid next to a window, emitting glorious rays of morning sunlight in her room. She looked through the drawers in search of some scissors. She eventually found a big red pair, took the dress and trimmed the bottom.
Sera changed into the dress. It originally would have fell to her feet but since she cut it, the dress stopped merely at her knees. It looked decent overall, despite her sloppy uneven cutting. She found a pair of white boots and rushed out the room.

Sera approached the garden spotting her fellow- very sleepy -elements. It is obvious they were dragged out of bed similar to her. But what surprised her was how bold Camden was to bring out a pillow and lay casually on the floor, clearly with no regrets.
"Sooooo is he, um, just gonna lay there?" Sera asked, pointing a Camden.
"I guess." Dallas shrugged," He was like that when Ivy and I first got out here."
"Should we wake him up or something?"
"Camden doesn't seem like the type of person to happily wake in the morning. And considering he 'accidentally' punched his fist through a thick screen, I wouldn't wanna be the person he 'accidentally' punches when he's forced to wake up."
"You make a good point. We'll just leave him there for someone else to handle. My face is too precious to be damaged."
"Ugh! This is ridiculous! There is no reason for us to be standing here like a bunch of statues!" Ivy complained. She was annoyed, very annoyed. Her cold, vicious eyes showed it well. She crossed her arms. Her position she stood in seemed to be a way of defense but her eyes threw daggers.
Sera avoided talking to her, in fear of getting bad mouthed. Sera- as dense as she was -was well aware that Ivy didn't particularly like her; anyone that is. She have shown signs of genuine concern and feelings but it was mostly masked by her habit of unemotional detachment. But Why?
Ignoring their substantial differences, both girls (yes both) did acknowledged the other's choices in style; in the far back of their heads that is. Ironically Ivy, similar to Sera trimmed the edge of her dress. Her dress was light green but dissolve to a darker shade of green when nearing the end of the dress. It had one long sleeve and the other sleeve was nonexistence. Of course Ivy took a bit more consideration in her trimming- so much so as if she's done it before -but above all their similar idea was uncanny.
Oh, and the guys. They were where similar clothing as well but couldn't any care less about it. They both wore slightly thick pants with a black belt. Casual shoes and a long sleeved shirt with a sleeveless thin jackets over. Dallas had a blue color scheme whereas Camden wore more whites and grays.
"You know. I wonder what would actually make Ivy happy?" Sera wondered, aloud.
"Yeah I wonder that too, but she sort of has the right to be mad right now. Why would our familiars tell us to meet them here with such urgency if they weren't going to be here themselves?" Dallas asked, not exactly expecting to get an accurate answer; especially not from Sera.
"Maybe so we can search around for them like aimless idiots again," Ivy answered grinning her teeth, obviously not interested in re-living that.
"Not exactly," Stellina approached them with a smile plastered across her face, recalling the time when she started training. She looked as though she had forgotten all about the anger she harbored the night before. " Due to your... inexperience.....you're all going to have to begin training separately, therefore your familiars are finding specific location for you to train. They should be here any moment." Stellina was correct; within seconds they arrived.
"Ok Maggots! Time to put you through hell!" Phoenix tormented. If she was human a vicious grin would have been displayed directly on her face.
"Phoenix. No one is going to get put through hell," Sinopa affirmed.
"Don't cha think calm training is more effective?" asked Fynn.
"Nope" Phoenix retorted.
"Actually I think putting your trainee in few dire situation is far better, Fynn" said Ryu. Then he hauled Camden off his pillow.
"Nooo!" Camden yelled. "Put me back! I had a great dream. You were all my peasants and.....actually nevermind. You didn't hear anything. So what are we doing here again?" He got up, scratching the back of his head.
"Ugh. You shouldn't have went to sleep then you'd know" Ivy argued.
"Well I'm sorry that I needed my beauty rest! Elegant faces like mine aren't just naturally created you know!" Camden retorted.
"Pft."
"How do you your parents cope with acting like a child all the time?" Dallas wondered. Although it was meant to be just a though, but he unintentionally spoke it aloud.
"Well that's easy young Dallas," Camden started, placing his arm around Dallas. "They don't."
"Get off of me. This looks weird" Dallas flicked Camden's arm from around him.
"Hmmm now I ship it," said Sera.
"What!?" the two boys exclaimed in unison.
What!?"
"I don't think I can tolerate this nonsense much longer." Ivy scoffed, shaking her head.
"okay then, um Camden and I will have to be leaving now," Ryu announced.
"Ooooh where are we going?"
"Training."
"Crap. Something I have to put effort into" And with that the two left.
Eventually Ivy and Dallas left as well, Leaving only Sera and her familiar, phoenix.
"Ok Seraphina, you ready for my intense training," Phoenix asked with mischievous written all over her.
"No..."
"Oh well too late to turn back."
"God. Why do I get stuck with the crazy fire bird!?!?" Sera asked, her voice filled with both anger and fear.
"I don't understand your despair, you should be glad to have me as a trainer! You'll actually learn something! Now let's go Maggot!" Phoenix flew off. Sera hung her head, reluctantly following after phoenix.
