(Your P.O.V)

From The Moment I could walk I was trained in the art of rope dart combat. They kept saying I was special. Mainly because I was a prodigy with the Rope Dart... I never understood that though. I never thought I was special. I thought I was average. You know (H/C) (H/L) hair and (E/C) eyes. I might've been a bit more energized than most but that never really meant anything to me. I never understood why I had more energy than most, until my powers surfaced. Then I knew I was different. It was fine for a good while but one day that changed. My difference got my parents killed. My friends yelled at me and abandoned me because of my difference. I have been hunted because of my difference. People have sought to use me for my difference. I was also recently captured by some skilled raiders in my sleep and sold as a weapon because of my damned difference.

Now here I sit. On A Ship headed for an unknown destination. I am shackled and caged like an animal. The room I am in is very dimly lit. The bulb lighting the room above me is flickering ever so slightly. The room itself is a faded brownish color. The paint on the walls is old it seems as it is flaking and tearing off the walls. The chains I am locked in are made of a hardened steel which is smart as my electricity will not pass through it with ease and not being able to stand makes it impossible for me to get my electricity strong enough to break it. Otherwise I could escape. The cell door bars however are simply iron or maybe steel. Hard to tell with how rusted they are. The ship as a whole must be in a similar condition. There are two empty plates in front of me. One had simple stale bread that the rats have since taken away to consume and the other had dirty water. I guess they don't care if I'm in good condition when I arrive at our destination. Apparently the Earth Queen, Hou-Ting, wishes to buy me and enslave me as a living weapon. She's in for a hell of a fight. I won't break... I'll die before I let my powers hurt more people. This whole being special crap is terrible. Sometimes I wonder why i don't just lay down and die... Then I remember my parents would be angry if I did... I am shaken from my thoughts thanks to a loud bang. Then I felt the ship begin to tremble. I heard what sounded like fighting. After a few minutes three men stood in front of my cell. They each wore dark colored robes. red, blue, and green respectively. Their faces are covered by what I assume are bandannas. I decided to play coy. I knew they were part of the Triad.

You: "H-hello.. W-who are y-you?" I said faking my nervousness. I may not be good at lying most of the time but in dire situations I could fool a god. They each smiled at me. The dumb asses bought it. This will be fun. Looks like I'm going to get away... Again. Only to continue wandering alone for the rest of my life...

(???): "We" he said as he gestured to a smaller and a larger man than himself. "are the Triple Threat Triad. We came to bust you out so you can join our gang in Republic City." He finished as the bigger man ripped my cell's door of it's hinges. I would be impressed but I've seen stronger.

I just nodded looking thankful. The man that was speaking proceeded to destroy my shackles and gestured for me to follow. I complied until we reached what I recognized as the exit. I proceeded to but my hands on two of their shoulders. I surged some electricity that shows (F/C) through them. Before the third guy could even react I grabbed both sides of his head and did the same. I ran towards the exit only to have it fly open. A man wearing a suit with a mask and some strange glove was standing there. He charged me without saying a word. I just sent a wave of (F/C) electricity at him slamming him into the wall. I ran up and kicked him in the face knocking him out. I exited the ship to be met with chaos. Two gangs were fighting. I saw a life boat and ran too it. Every time someone tried to stop me they got hit by someone else. I got the boat in the water and jumped in before I could be grabbed. Luckily for me it had a map and i used my electricity to propel the boat towards this "Republic City." What will I find there though?

Saikhan: "It was an honor serving under Chief Beifong for so many years and I wish her a speedy recovery. It is with great humility that I take her place as the new Chief of Police." The new Chief Saikhan began his induction but there was one question that interrupted him and caught everyone's attention. Everyone looked at the reporter that shouted over the crowd. Saikhan gave the reporter his full attention.

Reporter: "Chief Saikhan!" The reporter shouted, "What about the reports of Equalists and Triad supposedly attacking a ship transporting an electrical bender to the city?" Some people looked at him wide eyed but others simply chuckle at him. Electric benders don't exist. This drew everyone's' attention immediately as they had no knowledge of these events. But Tarrlok took the lead and answered the question with authority.

Saikhan: "That is a rumor at best." Tarrlok stated. "Believe me if the Equalists and Triad attacked anything we would tell you but an electrical bender does not exist so let us return to the Chief's induction." He finished sternly. Others openly laughed at the poor reporter. He shrunk back in embarrassment. Little did he know how right the reporter was. In fact he was so right that Tarrlok would look back at this and get slightly angry.

The rest of the speech went on without a problem. After which Tarrlok offered Korra the opportunity to rejoin his task force once again after reminding her that she had not yet mastered the art of air bending she had been learning from Tenzin. Korra adamantly refused due to her being suspicious about him and his increasing influence over Republic City. In response, Tarrlok warned her that if she did not change her mind, she should stay out of his way. He should not be trusted it seems.

(Korra's POV)

I know that guy is plotting something. I would've kept thinking about it is me, Mako, Bolin, and Asami didn't see Tenzin staring off into space. I walked over to him and gently tapped his shoulder. He seemed to jolt slightly before looking at me. What was eating at him? I shake it off when he begins speaking.

Tenzin: "Ah Korra. How did the ceremony go?" He asked. He still seemed space out a bit but that's fine. I feel a slight bit of anger raise in me when I thin of that prick. I grunted a bit.

Korra: "The new chief is a prick. He said 'If you don't change your mind then stay out of my way.'" I said with extreme irritation. What a prick... I don't trust him in the slightest. I hope Beifong recovers so she can remove him once again.

Tenzin: "Hmm. Well. Anyway I have something to tell you all." He said. I got a feeling he didn't pay attention but oh well. Everyone looked at him as he began to continue. "I felt a sudden spike in spiritual energy. I've been trying to figure out where it came from and I did and I can scarcely believe it." We all looked at him with anticipation. He seemed slightly shaken yet hopeful. What could it be I wonder. "A person has arrived in the city with the natural born gift to bend.... Electricity." He said plainly. No damn way. We all went wide eyed with shock. I thought that wasn't possible except for master fire benders and even then it's limited.

Bolin: "HOW!? THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE!" Bolin shouted at the top of his lungs. Tenzin looked at Bolin signaling him to calm down. Bolin took a breath and did. Tenzin nodded and then spoke.

Tenzin: "There was a prophecy that was told in the first Avatar's days. It said that one day a person would be born with the power to bend electricity like one can bend air or water. On that day the world shakes. It is the avatar's duty to seek them out and learn what they know." He finished. I never heard this... no one has ever heard this but him. Why didn't he tell me? I'm going to ask him.

Korra: "Why wasn't I told about this? It seems rather important." I was slightly irritated by the fact I didn't know about this ancient prophecy. I should've been told at least. That way if it happened I could be more prepared. Tenzin then replied.

Tenzin: "It never happened until now anyway." He said as he got up and looked me in my eyes. "Korra. You must locate this person and convince them to teach you what they know. If you don't then he may work for someone less then honorable." He finished with some authority.

I nodded. Then I realized I had no idea where to even start looking. Or if this person was a boy or a girl. Or if they were tall or short. Or if they are even outside right now. Crap! How will I find them before they leave the city!? I sighed slightly and asked.

Korra: "How do I find them?" I have no ideas. Luckily for us, Asami quickly replied. She must have an idea. That's good because we need to find them soon. If we don't they might leave the city and we will have no chance to find them and I won't be able to learn their bending.

Asami: "A good old fashion search party. The four of us will go to the city and look for them." Why didn't I think of that? I was overthinking it that's why. I was just told about some ancient prophecy I am supposed to fulfill so I'm a bit befuddled. I smiled and added,

Korra: "I bet since this person uses electricity they will feel quite energized when we are near them. Let's go then!" I said as I walked outside. They followed close behind me. Hopefully this won't take to long. If it does we may lose them. That would be very bad. If that does happen hopefully they only leave and don't get taken by the Triad or something.

As we entered the courtyard Naga looked at me like she is expecting something. I nodded to her and she rubbed her head against me. I laughed and pet her head a bit. We all got on her one at a time. We all rode Naga to the docks where there was a car waiting. Asami looked at us smiling then said.

Asami: "We don't know how long this will take so let Naga stay here and we can use my car." She smiled and got into the driver's seat. Not a bad idea. Naga would get tired if this took to long. I looked at Naga and she plopped down. Heh heh. Opportunity to be lazy.Of course she'd take it. Mako then added.

Mako: "I like Team Avatar's new style." He smirked. He opened the door for me and helped me inside. What a gentlemen. We all got in the car and drove off looking for this new bender. I hope we aren't to late. I get a feeling that we aren't however. I wonder what they will be like. I smirk slightly as we ride through the city.

*Docks*

(Your POV)

You: (In Thought) 'This is Republic city eh? Hmm I need directions.'

The docks themselves are rather quiet at the moment considering the time of day it is. It is late in the afternoon after all. The city is an interesting mix of old oriental style buildings, new modern buildings and new technology such as the lights. Many of the buildings are simply red white, black or some other normal darker color with the other colors being what the wood was colored. The streets are black and seemed to be well taken care of. There are a handful of people walking through the streets in front of me. Before I get to lost in taking in the scene I begin walking towards the center of the city. I thought I saw a polar bear dog thing that was pure white on the docks. I shrugged it off. Before I cross the streets I see a vehicle go by with four people inside. I didn't get a good look at them but I shrugged it off as well. This is going to be interesting. This is by far the largest city I have seen in awhile. Hopefully no one gets hurt because of me. I couldn't live with myself if more people besides my... Anyway... I look forward. No reason to memorize the city. I'm leaving in the morning. I wish I could stay for more than one day but The Triad will know I'm here.

(No POV)

Someone spotted the man however and began following him at a distance. The man known as (M/N) didn't notice yet. Little did he know that he was about to be involved in events that would shake the world and meet someone who would mean more to him than a simple person, student, or even... Well spoilers are bad.

(A/n: Okay. I originally got this Idea from ragnarocker89 on devianart and I assumed his account was dead so I was never able to tell him I did this despite the fact I wanted to. He wrote an electrical bender story a long time ago but his life in college made it to where he couldn't finish it. So I wanted to use the idea and go crazy with it. He recently messaged me and said he was glad someone took it over for him since he couldn't finish it. So I just want to give credit where its do now that i know he hasn't just abandoned hit account. This is his link. http://ragnarocker89.deviantart.com/ And I highly recommend reading his stuff. He has two Asami inserts that are bloody fantastic. I even have his blessing for this whole story and it seems he likes it. So go check him out guys. :D Peace)
