12. My Lil' Nugget

I walked into the dorm to find chaos. For real. Furniture had been pushed to the far sides of the room. Decorative pillows were strewn across the floor. There was even an empty picture frame lying in the center of the room.

Weird.

Anyway, in the middle of the room stood Medora and Aarron. They were yelling about something nonsensical. I couldn't understand it, though I did see Medora trying to stab Aarron with a pencil in the eye. Looked violent and not something I wanted to involve myself in.

In retrospect as a good friend I should have probably gone up and token her side but you know what they say 'a bad friend pushes you harder'.

I actually have no idea if they say that but for the sake of my friendship with Medora we're going to pretend they do.

Luara was nowhere to be found. Probably chatting with a random person. That poor person. Levi seemed to be trying to break their fight up but it wasn't working so well. The only person not bothered by the mess was Maya.

She was curled up on the floor with a book in her hands. A green blanket covered her. She looked completely at peace.

Medora and Aarron didn't notice me coming in but someone else did.

Levi looked up at me from his position of holding Medora and Aarron away from each other. He took a step towards me, letting go of Medora and Aarron and they both slammed into each other. They crashed to they floor with a big thump.

Levi stood by me and whispered in my ear "I'm sure they'll be fine" I shivered. Goosebumps raised on my back as his words echoed in my ear. They were the farthest words from sexy but... still.

Then I realized I had forgotten to answer. "Right, they'll be fine" I said quickly.

"Forgetting words now Lil' Nugget"

One second Levi could seem like the perfect adonis and then the next, the most infuriating person in the world. I rolled my eyes. Medora groaned.

Then she slapped Aarron in the head. That seemed to wake him up. "Hey!" He exclaimed. With that they continued to fight.

Levi looked over to me. "Come with me. I have something to show you" He said over the din. Levi motioned for me to follow him as he walked out the door. So I did the nice thing and followed him.

We walked down winding hallways and around tight bends till we reached a large hall.

The walls were a dark green and at the opposite end of the room was a plaque. The words The Hall of the Elder Gods were written upon it. And lining the walls were giant statues. That's when I realized it. The statues were of the Elder Gods. And at the end of the hall right below the plaque was a giant statue of a woman with a crown atop her head.

The exact same crown I was wearing. So the statue could only be of Veers.

"What is this place" I said as I stared around in awe. Levi gave a small smile as he rubbed his elbow nervously. "Its the hall of Elder Gods. Its was were everyone came to give offerings"

I turned to look at him. "How did you find this place then?"

"I was wandering around" He paused.

"Looking for you" He continued.

On the outside I said teasingly "You were looking for me?" But on the inside, well let's just say my stomach was Mexico and the monarch butterflies had come.

Levi grimaced and nodded. And I gave a little snort at how embarrassed he was. Levi clapped a hand over his mouth immediately.

"Um what was that" I asked.

"Excuse me but I don't want to get your nose germs all over me!" Levi muttered through his hands.

My eyes narrowed. "One: I snorted not sneezed. Two: Ruuuuude! and three: you c- Are you walking away from me!" I almost yelled. And in fact Levi was walking away from me slowly, as if there was some quarantine bubble around me. This got me mad!

I walked right up to him, stood on my tippy toes so my face was close to his and let out a giant breath right in his face. Levi stumbled backwards, apparently desperate to get away from my face that's so full of germs.

Then his foot caught on the edge of the pedestal of the statue of Skyra and he fell, his head slamming into Skyra's knee. Levi grabbed his head in pain.

"Oh my gods! Are you okay?!" I anxiously asked. "Not really" Levi groaned. I ran up Levi frantically. "Here why don't I, just put up right here, yeah th-that's better" I said quickly, panicking. With some effort I managed to get Levi in a sitting position, resting him against Skyra's leg.

"Do I need to get someone? Like do you want me take you somewhere? Just. . Just tell what to do, okay?" Levi's eyes were half closed as he said

"You know, you look really cute when you're worried"

What? Did I hear what I think I just heard? He thinks I'm cute. I consider it for a moment before realizing that he's in extreme pain and not really thinking about anything. So he doesn't actually think I'm cute when I'm worried.

Suddenly Levi a reached up and touched the spot between my eyebrows that was currently creased out of worry. "That's so cute" Levi said smiling sweetly.

"Kay, Levi um you saying some stuff and I don't know if you mean them an-" Levi interrupted me, a serious expression on his face. "I mean it. You are cute"

"Oh" Was all I could get out.

I fiddled with my fingers as an endless silence stretched between us. Eventually it was broken by Levi's painful groan, as he stood up.

"Right, we should get you to the infirmary" I got back on topic. Levi's eyes widened through their pain induced haze.

"NO" was all he said. I winced.

 "But you're hurt"

Levi's face turned to hard lines. "I said no. I'm fine. See?" He walked over to me. His pace was slow but he did walk over to me without wincing.

"Well we have to tell someone that you got hurt" Levi's immediate response was 'No'.

"Levi" I said warningly. "You have to tell someone" Levi's eyes narrowed. "No" He said firmly, marching over to me.

Now he was a few centimetres away from me. "You can't tell me what to do" His glaring eyes stared into my soul. Burning the inside of me with anger. My breathes came short and quick.

It was scary how different he was now from his usual self.

His jaw was clenched tightly and he looked like a bull ready to charge. I tried the inch away from him with no avail.

Then Levi tripped. Over nothing.

He fell against me, groaning. I caught him by his armpits. My muscles burned trying to pull him back up to a standing position.

"Ow" he whimpered, grabbing his skull.

"I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean for that to happen"

Levi didn't answer, though his eyes were squeezed shut because of pain. He's going through enough pain, Alina. You don't have to add to it.

'Alina, you have to decrease his pain.' Whispered the little voice in the back of my head. But how. How could I help him. Then I got an idea.

"Levi,-" I sighed regretting my decision already. "I'm not going to tell anyone that you got hurt"

Levi looked up at me and opened his eyes a crack. "Really" He said through his parched voice. I nodded, biting my lip. Levi sighed with relief.

"Oh thank you, thank you so much" Levi said. His face looked so relieved, I didn't even feel bad anymore.

Then Levi found enough strength running through his veins to stand up, grab my head in his hands, look me dead in the eye. Then he kissed me.

I'm so sorry for the long wait and the short chapter. Also this chapter is super unedited. I'm just going by the #justwriteit rules

But why did you think that Levi didn't want Alina to take him to get help? Thoughts anyone???

Anywayyyyy thank you for reading and vote and comment.
