LAURA
The healing water of the Golden. The endless stream of water that gives life to the dead and cures anything, but there's a catch. There's always a catch. If one steps foot into the Golden Water to heal themselves or revive the dead, the water demands something. It gives as well as it takes. It brings the dead back to life and demands a part of their soul. It heals the wound and takes precious memories.
My soul is bound with the Golden Water, it has been since my first black out and ever since I've been losing a part of myself that I didn't even know existed. Instead of losing something to the Golden Water, it's me the water takes from and you can only take from what you see. I've been around for a while and I've been losing my soul and memories to the Golden Water. Gaea helped me get my powers back but in exchange the water took my most precious memory, the memory of him. I still feel in my head and heart but it's vague, and it's better this way. I don't want anything stopping me from doing what's necessary.
Gar conjures a portal to where they are holding Azra and unlike my dungeon, Azra's place is swimming with guards. I step off the portal and land in the middle of the place, I don't recognize this place, which means Riga probably created it for him. The guards are instantly alert for my arrival but I don't mind them, I can take them. I only have eyes for Azra. He's at the end of the room, chained down. The chains are no doubt laced with Earth's rain because everything that affects me affects him. He was sleeping before I got here but his eyes are moving, groggy but he's aware of my presence.
"Hold on, Azra, I'm coming to get you." The words might not mean much to him because I've been promising him since I landed on Earth that I'm coming for him but I didn't do anything, didn't try enough, but now I'm back and I will keep my word.
"On your knees, Laura." I take my eyes off Azra and look at the guards surrounding me with their weapons pointed at me.
Yeah, it's obvious that these guys have no idea who I am because if they did, they wouldn't be standing in front of me like this. I don't know which of them called me Laura but I'm going to give them all the same treatment.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath before releasing my clenched fist. The cloak Gaea puts me in burns off, revealing my uniform, I feel the energy of the markings on my body moves until the Elsword is totally formed on my hand. I raise the Elsword up and smile. How I've missed seeing it.
The guards shout and charge at me, I huff and raise my leg up before slamming it down on the ground, the floor crack and slows their movement. I don't bother to waste time as I take the Elsword back in and bring out the chakrum, I toss it out and walk away from the scene. I don't have to do anything, the chakrum will do it for me. I use the chakrum when I'm being lazy because the weapon is designed to behead all my targets but I didn't release it to be lazy. It's in no doubt that the rest of the guards are coming, even Riga might show and if I want to defeat the army and Riga himself I need to be at my highest and I can't do that without Azra.
I walk up the stone steps to where they're holding him captive. I stop in front of him and bring my hand to touch the big chain they have around his neck, it burns the moment my hand makes contact. I was right, the chains were laced with Earth's rain. My eyes look over the beautiful creature in front of me, I know Azra is tired and weak right now and I don't think there's much fight left in him but I won't let him go, not like this.
"Hear me, Azra." I begin linking our minds together after levitating myself in air and turning upside down, doing the meditation pose and ignoring the brutal screams for my enemy.
"Hear me, Azra!"
"Hear me, Azra!"
I need to know his mind is awake before doing anything, hence the calling. I need a sign to know he's hearing me.
"Hear me, Azra!"
"HEAR ME, AZRA!" That does it as I hear a movement from him. "Soul of my soul. Blood of my blood. I call forth Azra FilDan the . Rise. Get up! Get up now!" I open my eyes at the same time Azra opens his, I break the meditation pose and turn until I'm standing straight but still levitating. The sound of the chains dragging as Azra stands until he's fully erect, he still looks weak and the only reason he's on his feet is because I commanded it.
I fly up until I'm at his eye level, I fly closer and place my hands on forehead before dropping my head against his skin. "Eck conbion ja floya dali. Lurytendra Azra Bycom."
I've been away from Azra for years and our link has been broken even if it's still there. We were running on a thin thread but now, I'm building a bond.
"Eck conbion ja floya dali. Lurytendra Azra Bycom. Lurytendra Azra Bycom. Lurytendra Azra Bycom."
"Yes," I drag the word. "I feel it, Azra. Keep it steady, follow my voice." I instruct as I reach for him and he reaches for me. "Almost there, boy. Almost. Yes!" I rejoice as Azra and I finally reclaim our bond.
I turn my back and stare at the dead men on the ground. I raise my hand up to call the chakrum back into my body. Taking my time to land on the floor and give Azra the time he needs to heal from my energy before breaking out of his chains and his strength is all back.
More of the royal army fills the room but they are not the one I want. Before getting to Riga, I can have as much fun as I want. Hope you're ready, Azra, time is about to get a little ugly.
"Lurytendra Azra Bycom."
My chest pushes up before I'm levitating. The familiar feeling of Azra's soul splicing into mine.
El-Laura-El is back.
