Jin hurried as he ran out of his school. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw Juan and his posse watching him.

He fastened his pace and took longer steps. After covering much distance, he turned back and was relieved to find no one following him.

Later, when he crossed the city centre, he saw Kookie walk far ahead, alone. He called out,

"Kookie!"

Kookie turned around immediately and waved back. Jin ran towards him and saw Kookie give him a small smile.

"Tae on a date again?" Jin asked Kookie as they started walking together.

"Why does everyone keep asking me this if they already know the answer!"

Kookie exploded all of a sudden.

Jin was taken aback as such a response was unexpected, especially from Kookie who never got angry.

He stopped walking while Kookie walked ahead. Immediately regretting his outburst at the oldest, Kookie stopped and turned around.

"Sorry hyung."

Jin just nodded. Again, he understood Kookie. Jin just patted Kookie on his back.

"You should talk it out with him you know," Jin advised the youngest.

"Talk about what?"

"Whatever is bothering you," Jin shrugged.

Kookie sighed," We did already."

"And?"

"I just want to be happy for him hyung."

"Well, you clearly aren't Kookie."

After they walked in silence for a while, Jin said,

"Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to figure out why you can't be okay with this situation."

"I know why I am not okay with this!" Kookie shouted in frustration, his voice rising in volume.

"Tae used to be just mine! He was my best friend! Now there is a hoard trying to steal him from me!"

Jin shook his head lightly. Maintaining his calm he asked,

"Are you sure that's the only reason?"

Jin's words kept on repeating in Kookie's head throughout the evening.

What else could it be? Why did hyung say that?

He had asked Jin to explain what he had meant to which he had replied,

"You should realise that on your own Kookie. You know it. You just don't accept it. Maybe you don't want to accept it."

What does that mean?
Kookie felt beyond confused.
