Chapter 15: New Information Medical Records ~ No Thank You!

When we are left alone in the hallway, I sneezed again as my sense of smell has starting to come back. "Bless you," the woman spoke.

"Thanks," I grunted. I sniffed a bit as I wiped my nose. "What was that all about? Why did you send that kid away? Did my sneeze scare her that much?"

"No, it's not that." The woman nodded, "Well, maybe just a little bit. But it is not that,"

"Then, what is it?"

"Well, you see," the woman nervously rubbed the back of her neck. "How can I put it this way?"

"Just spill it out," I blurted impatiently as I crossed my arms.

"Well, you're kind of...allergic to her."

"Pardon?" I raised a brow,

"Before I could get into that mess," the woman tried to wave it off. "Let me introduce myself to you first,"

"O-okay," I nearly nodded.

The woman cleared her throat, "My name is Alexandria Galloway, firstborn of Isis. The Egyptian Goddess of Motherhood and Love. And she is also the Keeper of Medicines. Plus, you can also call me Alex for short."

Well, here you have it. A daughter who is the firstborn of Isis. The Egyptian Goddess. Who knew?

"I see," I replied. "But...who's...?" I pointed down the hall, where the little girl named Kelly, who has gone to.

"Uh her," Alex spoke. "That little girl is Kelly Roserary, she is the youngest child of Bastet's kittens."

"What?" I jumped, "Are you pulling my leg?"

"For what?" Alex asked,

"For the claim," I replied. "To claim that she's the daughter of Bastet, the Cat Egyptian Goddess?"

"Ah, yes. She is the daughter of Bastet," Alex nervously nodded as she has held both of her hands up for surrender. "And no, I wasn't trying to pull your leg. Honestly,"

"Well, that would explain about the ears," I muttered.

"Yeah, that has always deceived people nowadays. Including us," Alex nodded.

All at once, I have felt the feeling of guilt that has just washed over me as if a tidal wave has appeared over me if I was standing on a beach. It has explained why I was sneezing like crazy lately, even though I was not in an alley of the city or anything that is outside of the building. "By the way," Alex spoke.

"Hm?" I turned to her, "What?"

"When and how did you become allergic to cats in the first place?" Alex asked as she held a notebook and a pen in her hands.

"Umm, since I was very little I guess." I answered, "Why would you asked me that?"

"So, I would be able to take notes and analyzes about you into your file,"

"File?" I jumped, knowing about where this is going.

"Yes, your file." Alex nodded, "Since you are staying for a while, I can do at least make a file about you. So, it can be added to your medical records."

"Medical records," my eyes have widened nervously. To tell you the truth, my father has never taken me to the hospital. Not even once. And that part will get to you later about it. "Why?" I nearly backed up a bit.

"While we were fixing you," Alex began. "I gathered some of your DNA to access your medical files from the Mortal World. Unfortunately, I have hit a dead-end and couldn't find any medical records or a simple file about you." Knowing the things that she is going to ask; I have to make a run for it. Before it is getting out of hand. "So, it will help me to..."

"I should probably just go now," I return to the room that I was in.

"Huh?" Alex jumped as she followed me,

"You heard me; I'm leaving." I begin as I was putting my boots on, "So you and your team would have less concern about me, in the meantime. I have some other places to be,"

"To where?"

"Classified," I answered as I gathered my stuff.

"Whoa, just wait for a moment," Alex spoke as she stopped me when I was putting my belt on.

"What for?" I asked,

"You'd just got better," Alex protested. "You can't just say that you can go just now,"

"So?"

"So, we don't know that you are ready yet. For..."

"I can take care of myself," I interrupted as I put my choker on with my amulets attached. "I always have,"

"Of course, you can," Alex muttered. "But can you at least stay? Just a little longer? So, everyone and I could get some answers from you."

"Some answers," I muttered as I wrapped my watch around left my wrist. "What kind of questions that you wanted to hear? That soon would have the answer that needs to be sought,"

"Many things," Alex answered. "I have a list if you want to..."

"I'll pass," I put my jacket on.

"Okay," Alex sighed. "But...perhaps you might need a tour around here before you could go, and who knows. Maybe you might get some help from us again if there's any need." I narrowed my eyes at her as I thought for a moment.

"Okay," I muttered. "No matter how cheesy it may have sound, but it is one-way o get either of my attention or not."

"So, that means yes?" Alex smiled,

I grunted, "Alright," knowing that my father might hate this, but the harm has already been done. And there is no going back from it. "Guess that I could stick around for a bit, but only on one condition."

"That is?"

"Don't let me go near to any cats that live around here,"

Alex tilted her head

I sighed, "If I sneeze when I am near other cats. Does not matter what kind they are, and no matter how much amount they are. Trust me, it gets a little messy whenever I sneeze by that."

"Hmm." Alex rubbed her chin, "With that type of warning, it is full of truth. And to let you know in return, that I can't make any promises about that condition."

I sighed, "Fair enough," I narrowed my eyes for a bit. I cleared my throat as I stepped forward, "Now, that was settled. Shall we be going then?"

"Oh, yes. Yes," Alex put her notebook and pen up in her pouch.

"So, where to?"

"Just follow me," Alex leads the way and I have begun to follow.

As we are out of the room, Alex is leading me down the hallway. But deep down in my gut, I may have the feeling that I have been watched while I began to stay at...whatever this place that I was at.
