Redundant (Again)
After reminiscing for a good hour or so, I had collapsed into a giggling fit and Hunter was smiling at me. I finally gained enough sanity to smile back at him, and he kissed me. "Night, report to my office," Ultimate's voice came over my earpiece. I pulled away from Hunter, looking at the bedspread.
"That was for-Rai?" I'd gotten up and was walking toward the door. I looked at him. "Where are you going?"
"Ultimate wants me to report to her office," I explained. He got up and wrapped his arms around me. I smiled at him, and he kissed my forehead.
"I'll be right here when you get back," he muttered, and I nodded, kissing him quickly before opening the door.

I arrived in Natasha's office, sitting down.
"I know Dr. Rogers told you to keep a close eye on Line, but I have a solo mission for you," she said, and I nodded, dreading this was going to happen. "I know about this agent who keeps following you." Jonah. "I need you to get the headquarter location out of him, Night." I nodded.

As soon as Raiyne left, I'd clutched at my head. The whole time we'd been reliving memories, I'd been pretending I was okay, so she didn't get concerned. My head had been pounding through the whole hour and thirteen minutes we were remembering, but I hadn't wanted to concern Raiyne. Anyways, after clutching my head, I'd started screaming in pain. The pain was close to unbearable now, as I hit my knees on the ground. Then I blacked out.

I walked to my apartment, opening the door and my mouth to tell Hunter about my mission when I saw him, lying on the ground spread-eagle. I crouched by his prone form, pressing my fingers to his neck. There was a pulse. Faint, but it was there. I radioed for the meds, and Sam burst through my door two minutes later. The two of us placed him on a gurney, wheeling him upstairs.
After Sam and the other doctors had cleared the room, I sat by Hunter's side, watching him. "So, I have a mission to get information from Jonah," I told his form. "And it starts in half an hour,'' I muttered. I let out a strangled sob. "I don't want to go on a solo mission. Not if you're here, in the infirmary." I dropped my head, resting it on his arm, sobbing.
After half an hour, I went to my truck and started it, heading to where I was going to meet Jonah. I could only hope Hunter was okay. Sam was taking care of him, but she could only do so much. I stepped out of the truck, walking to where Jonah stood. "Hello," I said, half-heartedly.
"Hello, my fine flower," he said, and I glared at him. He held his hands up in surrender. "Alright. I won't call you it tonight," he said. His throat still held the scratch marks, if slightly faded, and his bruises were still prominent.
"Thank you," I murmured, picking a twig off a bush.
"What's got you so glum?" He asked, British as ever. "And where's your brute?" That crossed the line. I lunged at him, tackling him to the ground.
"What did you do to him? When you knocked him out, you did something, you imbecile," I spat out.
"I-I don't know wh-" I bared my teeth at him.
"You did something. He's acting like a child. And it started when you knocked him out. What. Did. You. Do?!" I exclaimed, tears running down my cheeks as I punched him.
"I swear-" I held my fist up, teeth bared.
"What did you do?" I asked, sliding off him and lying curled on the ground. He got up, dusted himself off, and pulled me up.
"I don't know what's wrong with Hunter, but I will tell you something," he said. I turned away, not wanting to listen to him say he loved me. He whispered an address in my ear. "The ELA headquarters address," he said, stepping back. I swallowed thickly, nodding.
"Thank you," I muttered, hugging him before I got the message to return to headquarters immediately. I stepped back, running to my truck. I slid in, speeding down the dirt road toward the headquarters.
Walking inside, I walked towards Ultimate's office. "What's wrong with him?" I asked jotting down the address Jonah had given me.
"It's probably best if you go to see him yourself," she said. I ran to the elevator, punching the button for the infirmary. I stepped out, finding Sam with a split lip. My eyes widened, and she nodded.
"He went volatile about thirteen minutes ago," she said. "We secured him, and then radioed for you." I followed her to Hunter's room, where screams for me were heard in the hallway. "You can see why it was you needed," she said before I walked inside.
Hunter screamed my name again before I stepped into his view. "Shh. I'm right here," I murmured, moving some hair from his forehead.
"Y-you were gone," he murmured, his voice hoarse. I nodded.
"But I'm here now, and that's all that matters," I said, and he nodded, agreeing with me. I unstrapped his limbs, helping him sit up. I sat next to him, letting him lean on my shoulder. "What happened, Hunter?" He shook his head.
"I don't know. I just...collapsed." He placed his forehead against mine, smiling at me.
"Hunter. Was your head hurting beforehand?" I asked. He nodded.
"How'd you know?" I looked him in the eye.
"It was written in your eyes," I muttered. He looked at our feet, his bare and mine still in my boots.
"I tried not to worry you," he murmured.
"Well, you could've tried not to land yourself in the infirmary," I muttered. He smiled.
"I'll remember that next time," he said, and I smiled. "Raiyne, I love you and didn't want to worry you. Didn't want any grey hairs ruining the black." I chuckled, and he kissed me.
"I love you, too," I said when he pulled back. He smiled, and I smiled back. "Now, while we're on this subject, are you still in pain?" I asked.
"Not at all," he said. I raised an eyebrow. He shook his head. I sighed, getting up.
"I'll be right back," I said. I walked out into the hallway, where Sam was, watching everything. I flushed slightly at the thought of Sam seeing us kiss, but looked at her. "He says he's better. Did you find anything wrong?" She shook her head. "So it just appeared and disappeared?"
"It would appear so," she said. "But I'm clearing him for duty. I have a feeling you're going to be needing him soon," she said. I nodded, taking that into consideration.
