So it has come to my attention that a few people who shall not be named have been copying my ideas. Most of these people have talked to me before, so I know they know about my awards and ideas in said awards.

I want to point out that I am not someone who will make false accusations. I have receipts for everyone I am talking about in the above paragraph. I have almost foolproof receipts.

However, the reason why I am keeping the names private is because on the off chance I am not correct and somehow this is all a coincidence, I don't want to send unnecessary hate toward someone who doesn't deserve it. And also, even though I am 99.9% positive they are copying me, it's not the biggest deal in the world and they don't deserve hate for it anyway. They deserve a correction to see the error of their way.

I have had my work, Adrift, plagiarized before. That was a big deal where the author deserved hate for copy and pasting Adrift and having the AUDACITY to win five awards with it. Five awards. They used my book to win awards without my knowledge and consent.

I know we like tea so here's proof of what I'm claiming:

This person had the audacity to take Adrift and make the grammar worse. Adrift is already not the most technically great story, but they made it worse 😭😭😭

Again, I don't say anything without receipts. As you can see in my Discord messages, I'm literally second-guessing myself because I didn't want to be right or falsely accuse someone.

So when I say I have actual proof against these people, I mean it. It isn't just a coincidence. These people have talked to me and almost word-for-word took my ideas afterwards.

It's one thing if there are similarities; I don't make big deals over those because lord knows my awards book is probably similar to someone else's and I don't even know. However, it's a different animal entirely when something is borderline identical to me.

One book announced they were doing future contests one day after I announced my future contests. What's the big deal? Oh, the fact that their update was almost word-for-word identical to mine, and all the contest ideas I announced were the same ones they announced?

It's one thing if they happened to have similar contest ideas. It's one thing if they happened to announce it a day after I announced it. It's one thing if it's worded similarly. 

It's something entirely different when all of those factors combine, and to top it all off, it's almost word-for-word my contest ideas. It is borderline identical with only minor differences.

Another book, which I believe has actually changed now after I posted my announcement yesterday lmao, had almost the same exact prizes as me. Not just "oh an interview" or "oh a review;" word-for-word almost identical to my prize ideas.

I understand my prizes and contest ideas aren't the most unique in the world. I have been doing interviews as prizes for a very, very long time. Even though I am new to Wattpad contests, I'm not an idiot. I have been writing for over 10 years and hosting contests for several of those years.

I WILL BE DOING CHARACTER CONTESTS IN THE FUTURE

So those act as proof I have hosted contests, done interviews, and done reviews since 2021. I think many of you forget Wattpad is not my main website. This is not my first rodeo. I have had ideas stolen from me before. I am a professional writer; it is my actual job to track down things like this.

I don't make accusations lightly. I am going to talk to these people in pms and solve the matter privately.

That begs the question:

Why am I posting this?

Good question! The answer is to raise awareness for other award hosts because I speak to many of them. Let's face it, the BTS/K-pop awards book community is very tightly-knit. We know each other.

Along with that, it's to raise awareness for participants who might come across these awards that are ripping off other awards.

For this awards book, I am not going to do things like blacklist other hosts for things like this. These are minor offenses. Everyone has followed the rules so far and, again, there is a tiny chance this is all coincidence. I very highly doubt it considering I know who these people are and know some of their history from my friends (especially you. You know who you are), but I'm not going to blow Earth up because of it.

Essentially, I am posting this to raise awareness, hammer home that I do not tolerate copying, and announce that if people steal my future ideas, I will make a big deal out of it.

I am working on a very unique prize idea for my Jungkook Showdown awards. The idea is super unique and I have never seen anything like it on Wattpad. Want to know why? Because I started doing it in 2022 on Quotev and am very familiar with the format. It's a super unique prize that really focuses on the author and their books. It's personal, fun, and unique.

If someone steals that, sorry, you can't call it 'coincidence.' The idea is too unique with too many layers for someone to say 'oops! coincidence!'.

There are so many layers to it that it takes me weeks to do this prize idea, so if someone takes it... yeah...

I mean it, the prize isn't just one thing. It's a combination of things. You'll see when I post my Jungkook Showdown. I don't want to say what it is too soon because, well, I don't want anyone taking it then claiming they came up with it.

I also have future contest ideas I have not announced yet that I know will are very unique and unlikely to be coincidence.

I guess I should be thanking you. You've motivated me to be more creative so now my prize/contest ideas are so unique that if you take them, you have no chance of deeming it a 'coincidence.'

I will be reaching out to these people privately. Do not send any hate to any awards hosts. I'm not confirming nor denying anyone's involvement in anything so as to keep this matter anonymous. Do not make assumptions about another awards book. Instead, if you see an awards book that has almost identical prizes/contest ideas as me, please message me privately.

Do not dm me asking me who they are. I'm not going to tell you. I have told only a very small handful of people because I wanted to see if my friends had any history with them.
