Monday

Welcome to Monday of Holy Week. Today, I just have one passage.

Mark 14:17-25

So this is The Last Supper. This occurs durring Passover, or The Festival of Unleavened Bread (I don't know too much about this, and I don't think I have time to look it up, so if you know more please PM me or comment it). And Jesus gives the ominous warning that one of the twelve would betray him. Everyone gets sad and asks if it would be them. All he says in reply is that it is one of the twelve. He also says that it would be better for them if they weren't born. That is, of course, talking about life after here on Earth. Everyone gets eternal life after Jesus comes back. It's just a matter of spending it in Heaven or Hell. Then he breaks bread, comparing it to his body, and wine to his blood. We still remember this when we take communion. You get to participate in communion when you give your life to Jesus and become a Christian. Jesus then  promises that he won't drink wine again until he drinks it in Heaven. And we can see him keeping his word later, where in some of the Gospels (I can't remember if it's in the one I chose) he is offered wine to drink. But he refuses it.

That's all I have time to write but if anyone wants something more in-depth, please PM me. If enough people do, then I might even post another section here today. I didn't add Peter's denial to my plan, but I'll write it if enough people want it. I'll probably do it if even just three people want it. I don't know.

Please comment or PM me with any questions, prayer requests, or just to talk. I might not respond right away, but once I see a message, I'll respond.
