Authors POV 

Ares was already tired after the long tiring day. Meeting a lot of females who want you for your power and throne was not easy.

He had a lot of females touch his hand repeatedly, to check whether he was their mate. And even though he was not interested he had to do it for Lyn's sake, who kept glaring at him whenever he tried to escape from the ball room.

He sighed loudly feeling bored already.

It was a series of program. First the ball, then a hunt with the king and after that, a bonfire party at night. Hence all the guests were given rooms to stay and they would stay in the palace.

Ares silently tried to sneak off to his room when he heard someone clearing their throat. He grumbled something inaudible and turned around.

“Where are you off to, my dear King?” Lynorr said with a raised eyebrow and her hands on her hips.

“Umm... Just for a stroll. Nothing much. ” Ares said not looking at her. Even though he was having higher power than Lyn, he was still scared of the lady. After all she was the one who raised him.

“Listen here Mister, you may be the Alpha King or whatever. But you will listen to me and stay here until the ball is finished. ” Lyn said trying to sound intimidating and the shocking thing was, it was working.

“So Bossy. ” Ares grumbled, but it was not be heard by anyone.

“What was that?” Lyn asked again raising her eyebrow.

“I said its alright. ” Ares said loudly.

Lyn smirked and nodded her head.

“Now go and dance with those pretty girls. ” Lyn said and pushed him towards them. Ares glared at her and went off towards the girls.

“Where's Ares? ” Charles asked as he stood near Lynorr. Lyn nodded her head towards Ares who was in the middle of the dance floor with some girl.

“Wow. So he agreed, huh!” Charles said amused.

“I basically had to threaten him. ” Lynorr said laughing. But after sometime her eyes filled with sadness. “I just hope he finds his mate. The poor boy has suffered a lot. And I hope even you find yours, Charles. ” Lyn said tears brimming in her eyes.

“That's what we have all been waiting for. The girl who will bring back the happy Prince.” Charles said looking distant. “Now, let's forget about all of that. But my Lady, would you like to dance with me?” Charles asked winking at Lynorr.

“You charm will not work on this old woman, Charles.” Lyn said laughing softly. “But of course, how can I turn down such a wonderful and handsome man. So alright. I will dance with you. ”

Charles and Lynorr started laughing and dancing softly. And after a while Lyn went away while Charles was still dancing with some girls from the packs. Even some Noble families of Humans were here.

In the kingdom of Carantania, there were people of all species like Werewolf, Humans, witches, wizards, vampires. But these were just a few. The Kingdom comprised of almost all the supernaturals.

Meanwhile, Ares was struggling to keep control over Aspen. Both him and Ares, were irritated due to the girls clinging onto his arms and holding him close.

Even though he was known to be ruthless and emotionless, the girls only wanted the exterior of him, his body to please them and his treasure and power to rule the kingdom. which is what angered Ares and Aspen the most. He just hoped that his mate would not be a power hungry women.

But who was he kidding. His mate held more power than he could ever imagine. He would just have to wait for Her arrival.

Hades Palace.

Diana Phoenix's POV

“Hey. Stop running away from me.” I said whining and trying to catch her.

“You will never catch her, Ana. ” I heard a song song voice say from behind me.

“I will, just wait and watch. ” I said sticking my tongue out.

“Real mature. A Goddess. The most powerful being. And acting like a kid. Pshh..” Artemis taunted me once again trying to stop me from catching the fawn which was running all over the place. But do I give up? No.

Suddenly I moved my fingers in a circular motion and directed it at Artemis. And then I flicked my wrist towards her.

“DIANA. I will kill you. ” Artemis shouted and came after me, running in full speed.

I had controlled the water and grass and had drenched her with it. Now she was completely wet and grass was sticking to her skin and clothes.

“Where are you running off, you grass controling cow?” She shouted loudly.

“If you control grass you won't be a cow, my darling Artemis. ” I said giggling while still trying to run away from her. “And you like cows don't you? Being able to talk to animals and asking them for help. I always wish I would have your powers. ”

“Just shut up. You-You ugly tree. ” She shouted again and I burst into laughter and stopped running, long forgotten about the cute little fawn.

“Wh-What did y-you say? Tree. Oh my. Your so funny Artemis. Oh. I can't stop laughing. ” I said falling down onto the floor where I still continued to laugh like a maniac.

“Shut up... Or I will ask Crimson to kill you off. ” She threatened.

“Crimson? Seriously, you will ask him to kill me? He won't listen to your command this time. Cause he loves me. ” I said grinning smugly. Just then, Artemis whistled and a huge white tiger came running towards us from the forest.

“Crimson,  I want you to kill this girl over here. ” Artemis said while clicking her tongue towards me. I was still sitting on the ground while Crimson turned his face and came towards me. Artemis was smiling smugly. But I just stared at Crimson who stood before me now.

“Hey Crimson.” I said reaching my hand out and patting his head. He licked my face. Artemis looked at me shocked. Well, she knew that animals couldn't kill me. And she wouldn't actually kill me. It was just for fun.

“You always make my animals love you. This isn't fair. They love you more than me.” She huffed and pouted. Crimson saw her and started licking her.

“Stop it.” She said giggling. Crimson was Artemis's tiger. Being the Godddess of hunt and animals, she always had animals surrounding her, more than humans.

“Alright. Alright. Enough of this. Girls, Mom is calling us. ” I heard Aurora,      call us.

“Ok. Let's go. Or else mom will eat us for lunch.” Artemis said with a shudder.

We laughed and started walking towards the palace.

Aurora was sort of my sister. She is a hybrid of werewolf and demon. She was also beautiful. Long blonde hair, dark brown eyes, and pale skin. She was also my best friend. She was tall and smart and also had some powers granted by mom and dad.

“Hey, where were you? ” I heard Aurora snap her fingers in my face ask with a frown on her face.

“Oh. I know, she was dreaming about her Prince Charming who will come and take her away from this hell. ” Artemis said grinning while I shot her a glare.

“Hey. Dad might here you. This is actually hell, you know. ” Aurora said whispering.

“I heard that.” We heard a loud voice from behind us. It was our dad. Hades. We looked at each other nervously but with a smirk on our face.

“Shit. ” All of us said in unison and teleported to the palace.

“I still see you girls. No matter where in the world you are, don't think you can run away from me. I will still catch you. ” We heard his voice speak in our minds. “Gotcha. ” He said suddenly coming infront of Aurora. She screamed loudly. And we started laughing.

“I can never get used to this. ” I said laughing.

“Haha. Very funny. Just cause you three are very powerful goddesses and god you all gang up on me and scare me. ” Aurora said pouting.

“Aww.. You are so cute. ” Artemis said squishing her cheeks while Aurora slapped her hands away and rubbed them.

“Don't touch my cheeks. You know I hate it.”

“Hello kids. ” We heard our mothers sweet voice.

“Hey, mom. ” All of us said in unison. “And we are not kids. We are almost five hundred years old. ” Artemis added.

“Don't you know? Even if you are a king to hundreds of people, you are still a little kid to your mother.” She said smiling.

“Alright, alright. Let's get to the topic. Why did you call us here, mom?” Artemis asked.

“Kids. Let's go to some other place. ” Dad said and we were teleported to moms garden. It was place where no once except the five of us, could enter.

The magical garden of Pheresphone,  Moon Goddess, our mom.

“So what is it?” Aurora asked. I have a hunch on what they are about to speak. And I already know it. Mom turned towards me and spoke.

“You should be attentive on what happens on Earth, Diana. It's your land and you rule it. So you should take care of it.”

“I am attentive. I listen to everything that happens there. And I also know about the war going to be held in almost a year. ” I said being serious now.

Mom and dad exchanged a look and then Dad spoke, “What have you decided?” He asked.

“I have decided to go there myself. This is not like the previous wars. And I have to be there for this.” Aurora and Artemis were looking at me.

“Hmm... You should do that. And let me tell you Diana, your life is going to change after this. ” Mom said smiling, like she knew something.

I narrowed my eyes at her silently asking her to spill it, but she shook her head. I sighed.

“Hey. We will come with you. ” Aurora and Artemis said in unison. I seriously think that all the three of us have some attachment to speaking in unison. I thought laughing inwardly.

I looked at Mom and Dad, and they nodded smiling. It was like the three of us couldn't be separated at all.

“When will you go?” Dad asked. He can't be away from us for a long time. And if the person is mom, then there's nothing left to talk. He can't be away from her for even a single day.

“Umm.. I thought about going tomorrow morning. Esmeralda already knows that I will be arriving.” Esmeralda was also our friend and she has been helping us all the time whenever we require. She is a great witch.

“Okay, kids. Go and enjoy but remember, No mischief. ” Mom said smiling. She knew that we don't pack for any of our trips to Earth. We could always dress ourselves with magic. Even Aurora had magic, although she was not a goddess.

We nodded and hugged both of them. And we teleported back to our gardens.
