Ares's POV

I woke up early today, due to another nightmare and I was drenched in sweat. I got up and went to bath.

After five hours, it was now 10.00 AM and I was sitting in my office when I suddenly got an idea.

I turned to Charles and Louis who were sitting on the couch.

"I have an idea. " I told them excitedly.

"What is it? " Both of them asked in unison.

"We ask Esmeralda for the name of our mates pack. And then we could actually see them or talk to them before the ball. "

"But how will Esme know which is our mates pack? " Charles asked frowning.

"You dumbo. She is the most powerful witch. She knows everything. " Louis said smacking Charles head.

"Damn right you are, Louis. " We heard her voice and all of us turned towards the window sill, where she was seated. "I know the name of your mates pack. "

"Please tell us. " We asked her while she shook her head.

"No. I want all of you to meet them only on the day of the ball. But maybe I could suggest a plan to talk to them. " She said thinking and placing her hand on her chin.

She suddenly started smiling looking at a distance. I looked at her confused.

"Alright, so you can talk to your mates only through letters. I will deliver it myself so you needn't worry. "

"But what will you tell them when they ask about the letters?" Charles asked.

"I will tell them, that their mates knew them already. But you will be meeting them on the day of the ball. " We nodded.

Letters. I grinned and quickly took out a paper and my quill and started writing. The other two also began to write, while the witch looked at us, in amusement.

After sometime, I finished my letter and handed it over to Esme, who put it carefully in her cloak. The other guys also gave her, their letters.

"Alright boys. I will give them safely to your lovers. " She said winking and vanished.

We laughed at her words and continued our work again.

Diana's POV

We were now sitting in the living room. All the people had finished their breakfast and were hanging around. Artemis recieved another round of lashes yesterday along with the two of us. But we healed ourselves already.

It seemed as if the pack hardly cared for the Royal orders. This pack is in more trouble than anyone.

Firstly, they disrespect and torture omegas, secondly, they don't follow the royal orders. I sighed. Now there was nothing stopping this pack from being annihilated.

"What are you thinking about? " Shannon asked. She had grown closer to us these days and the four of us were always together.

She was a sweet girl, but she could be furious when someone doesn't respect her. And she was also the daughter of the Gamma of the pack. She was the sister of Sirius. But as she hadn't shifted when she was sixteen, they demoted her to an omega.

"Nothing. Just life. " I said looking out the window.

"This is not the life meant to be lead. All we think about is the food to be prepared next. " She said sighing. "You know, one day I will run away and never come back. I will also report to the royal pack. " She added firmly.

Just then, we heard Weston's loud booming voice.

"Who the hell said they will report to the Royals, huh?" He asked angrily looking at each one of us.

Shannon stood still, shocked.

“It was me.” My voice echoed through the room. Everyone looked at me as if I had grown two heads. He raised his eyebrow. “I said it was me saying that I will report to the royals. This pack doesn't feed the omegas and you torture us like the devils in hell. And that is not acceptable. ”

Weston started to walk slowly and stood infront of me. He was a tad bit taller than me but does that make me intimidated?  Not at all. On the other hand he must be scared shit, due to the power in my voice.

“What did you just say, you Kèpfos (stupid) girl?”  He shouted at me and held my neck tightly.

Suddenly there was a loud commotion and there stood Esme. I sighed. Well, things are going to be bad now.

“Oh my goddess! What is happening here?” She asked with wide eyes.

“Who are you and what are you doing on our pack grounds? ” He asked still tightening the grasp on my neck.

“I am Diana's aunt. And I just came to visit her. Now tell me, what was happening here? ” Esme asked a little angry.

Weston left me abruptly, and I stumbled back. Artemis and Aurora stood next to me, glaring at Weston.

“Nothing. This girl was disrespecting the higher ups and that made my wolf angry which made me lose control. ” He lied glaring at me and the others, so that none of them say the truth. The girls were already scared, that they wouldn't even think of disobeying his orders.

After saying that, he walked out. The girls exhaled loudly.

“Oh my, are you alright? ” Esme asked checking my neck, which had red fingerprint marks.

“You know I am alright. Why did you come here? ” I asked narrowing my eyes.

“Ugh.. Well lover boy wanted to give this to you. ” She said winking.

“Stop with the lover boy thing. ” I said swatting her hands away. “And what about Cassius? ” I asked looking at Artemis.

“I am sorry. She should deal with it. But however he's going to come to the capital in a few days. I will meet him then.” She said and I nodded. “Now here are the letters. One is for Aurora, one is for you, and the other one is for Shannon.”

“Me? I don't even know anyone. And moreover, I don't know you. How can I get a letter?” She asked confused.

“Umm... How do I say this?  This letter is from your mate. And I am a witch, which helps me see others mate. So your mate gave it to me. ” She said scratching her head.

“Bu-” Shannon started confused.

“That's all we can say to you. And oh, your mate is from the royal pack. ” Esme said winking and suddenly vanished. This woman never uses her legs to walk. Always using her magic. I shook my head and pulled them to our room.

“Let me explain as much as I can. Your mate is from the royal pack and he came to know about you. Even our mates are from the royal pack. And they sent us this letter, to get to know us. And they will see us in two months.” I explained slowly.

“So who is my mate?” She asked curiously.

“I can't tell you about it. And Esme didn't tell me. But I have said too much already. ”

She nodded slowly and opened her letter and started reading while blushing inbetween. Aurora was also reading hers.

“Artemis, I am sorry. ” I said going near her and hugging her.

“Don't be. All these years I didn't know about him. And I waited. I can wait for a few more days. ” She said smiling.

“But I think you should write a letter to him and send it, through your animals. ” She suddenly brightened up. “But how will he believe me? ”

“Don't worry about it. I am here for that.” She nodded again and started writing.

I sat on the window sill and opened his letter. (everything in italics is the letter)

Dear mate.
