Anna POV

There she was, just standing there. Even so, her mere presence was enough to make my blood boil. Decades of hatred began welling up as she folded her arms and dared to stare at me with a look of boredom and disinterest. My sister, Nina Williams.

My fist slowly clenched as I muttered "This time..." I trailed off a bit before abruptly pointing at her and declaring "This time I will kill you!" My so-called sister didn't even flinch at my statement, instead just grinning and asking rhetorically "You don't learn do you?"

My anger only increased as she gestured her hand in a mock gesture of calling me to her as she stated "Well, come on then." Neither of us moved for a second, instead just glaring at one another, waiting for the other to make the first move, like one of those western stand-off.

I soon grew impatient though and was the first to make an effort. I rushed forward and instantly went in with several punches and chop attacks. Nina however managed to either block or dodge each attack. Actually making fun of me in the process. "Is that really the best you can do?" She remarked.

This caused me to snap "You're about to find out!" I went in for a kick that managed to catch her off guard and hit her in the side before going in for two slaps across the face in quick succession. These made her recoil a bit, I did want to land a third strike however she recovered and grabbed my wrist tightly.

I was instantly met with a knee to the stomach that made me stagger back in pain. I shot another glare to Nina spitting "Damn you!" To this she just shrugged "What? You just make it to easy." I let out a yell and lunged forward.

I went in for a punch however my arm was caught. Nina twisted it making me yelp in pain and drop down on one knee however this only provided an opening for me to throw her over my shoulder and onto my back. I tried to stamp on her with my heeled shoe however she managed to effectively roll out of the way.

As she got to her feet she commented "You never did choose a suitable fighting  attire did you?" I just glared, opting not to say anything, instead trying to analyse her position for an opening. And I think I may have found.

Running forward, I waited for her to try and strike forward. This gave me a chance to duck down  and perform a sweep to her legs making her trip over. What I didn't expect though was for her to grab me and pull me down along with her causing us both to fall onto the floor.

She instantly tried to drop one of her legs down in a guillotine motion, I raised my arms to protect my face from the blow and tried countering with a chop. Again she dodged as we both got to our feet as quick as we could. 

There wasn't chance to relax though as we both instantly lashed out once more, I went in to kick her and she went in for a karate chop. I hit her shoulder while she just struck my arm. She landed a roundhouse kick that caused me to stagger back, turning around and that's when I had enough.

I didn't care if this was a tournament, my chance was THIS close, I would not let it slip! Reaching into my dress, I grabbed a handful of kunai. Spinning around I threw them in my sister's direction actually catching her off guard.

It didn't do much good though as she cartwheeled to the side, managing to avoid them. A grin grew across her face "So, we're using weapons now? Sure why not. There aren't any tournament cameras around."

This made me raise an eyebrow and ask "You planned for this?" Her grin only raised as she replied "Of course. This will make things all the more fun." And just like that, she lunged forward. As she drew closer, she abruptly threw something in my direction.

It was several of her own kunai. The tournament's no-weapons rule had been completely rejected now. I dodged the kunai and went to throw some more of my own however upon looking, I found I didn't have any. I thought about the ones I'd used on that Eagle in our little misunderstanding.

I did have another weapon though, hidden in the car I'd driven here in. I just had to get to it. Carefully, I took a step to the right, Nina eyed my motion with confusion however I moved again. Too my surprise, she reached around the back of her purple uniform before brandishing two large knives.

She stated "I don't know what your game is dear Anna, but I'm putting a stop to it." This was my chance, I made a break for my car and flung the back door open. Just in time too as Nina threw one of the knives.

It missed my head and hit the sign to a building next to me. I chose now to reveal my secret weapon. A large rocket launcher was slung over my shoulder. A grin spread across my face as I gave a faint kissing gesture before firing a rocket.

Annoyingly, Nina dived out of the way of the blast causing the rocket to fly past her until it hit a wall far down the road creating a massive explosion. Nina glanced towards me with a smirk, at first I was confused until I heard a beeping.

Looking to my left, I saw the tip of the knife Nina threw earlier flashing a red light. I knew exactly what it meant. I gasped and ducked out of the way just as it exploded. I landed on the ground and was about to attack once more when I heard a familiar voice.

"What the hell is going on here?!"

Y/N POV

I stood on top of a nearby streetlight and I'll admit, I was sort of surprised that the explosion had come from Anna and Nina's showdown. They'd disregarded the tournament's no-weapon rule and if they weren't careful, could cause great amounts of  damage. Fortunately this was already a run-down abandoned place. I think the arena where I fought King and Armor King isn't too far from here.

I decided enough was enough and asked "What the hell is going on here?!" This was enough to catch both of their attention. Anna's eyes widened however Nina just folded her arms and stated "Oh, it's you."

I leapt down in front of them. Shooting Nina a glance I said "Nina." In an annoyed tone. I wasn't particularly fond of her myself, after our last duel. She forfeited just so I'd end up meeting my father. Like she said, she could complete her mission outside of the tournament. A cruel joke. 

"I'm driving back from my fight and suddenly a rocket flies past in front of me. I follow where it came from and find you two. Seems I showed up just as things were getting interesting." Anna commented "Indeed." Nina asked "How was meeting your father?"

This made me glare even more, her tone held a cynical edge to it however I responded "Very good. In fact, he's the opponent I just got back from defeating." At this both Nina and Anna looked surprised before turning to one another.

Anna snapped "Well, you've arrived at such a good time. This fight's just about to reach its grand finale. Launcher's empty." She tossed the weapon aside. Nina looked at the remaining knife in her hand and said "No weapons anymore? Shame, that didn't last long. But okay." She tossed the knife to the ground before saying "This ends here."

The two sisters stared one another down. I debated leaving however I was interested to see how this played out. I wanted Anna to win in truth. She actually caught my attention, and so far, hadn't done anything to anger me.

At last, they raced forward and began trading blows. Punches, kicks, chops, even slaps were thrown back and fourth between the two. Anna did that kick she did on me, where she leapt off the ground and put all her weight into it. Nina actually managed to catch her leg though.

She quickly countered by swiftly elbowing her in the face, this was followed by a chop and then grabbing Anna by her shoulders and throwing her. This was where the fight ended. Anna attempted to thrust her hand out, aiming right for Nina's eyes however she was only met with a kick that knocked her to the ground. 

I should have expected this, Nina was the victor, Anna lay sprawled out on the concrete surface.

She wasn't knocked out though, she slowly got back onto her hands and knees as Nina smirked down at her, briefly performing a thumbs down gesture. Anna spat angrily yet reluctantly "Do as you wish." I actually felt bad for her. If Nina did try going for a killing blow, I was prepared to intervene.

She didn't though, instead she just commented "Anna, you're pathetic. That didn't satisfy me at all. I refuse to kill you." Anna's glare turned to one of venom. She shrieked "You BITCH!" She proceeded to pound her fists on the ground like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

This only served to make Nina laugh mockingly "HAHAHAHA! That look is priceless! But there's nothing more worth sticking around here for. I'm sure you'll find a way to waste my time again dear sister."

She turned to me "And you, I assume we'll meet again, next time though don't expect the mercy of our last battle." I just spoke emotionlessly "Until then." I don't know when that time would come. But I'd finally see if I could knock her down a peg or two.

With that exchange, Nina walked away, still laughing as she got on her bike and drove off. Anna was still screaming and throwing her little tantrum until I said "Calm down Anna. It's not worth it." This made her shoot a glare in my direction.

"Shut up!" I shrugged and said "Fine." I began to walk back to my car when I heard her ask "Wait! Where are you going?" I turned back to her and replied "Back to my hotel, I'm still in this tournament remember? What about you?" Anna mumbled "I don't really know."

I nodded "Then I suppose we'll just cross paths again in the future." With that I walked away, a bit abrupt I know. But I still had work to do, I had a mission. And I had a slight feeling this wasn't the last I'd seen of Anna Williams.

Little did I know, my next opponent would finally be able to shed some light for my mission. The answers were growing near...

We will see Anna again in this segment, in fact she'll be linked to one of Y/N's future battles, another character who's been in this book but already eliminated from the tournament, not by Y/N though.
