One night, around midnight Dad arrived home. He was a lot happier than I have ever seen him. When I greeted him at the door, all he said was, "we are going on a vacation!" A few days later we packed our clothes and went to Miami Beach. While we were on vacation, I saw someone who looked identical to me. She looked exactly like me, I was shocked. We both stood there in silence, waiting for the other person to speak. I felt like I knew her my whole life, but I have never met her before. I did not know whether to cry or laugh at this moment.

We both introduced each other and realized both our parents were here on vacation. My identical twin Bailey, told me that our parents had divorced when we were younger and when they divorced they both got one of us. My mother took Bailey since she was the first born and my father took me. Since our parents have not talked in years, Bailey and I decided that we were going to get them back together. We were on vacation at the same place and time. I thought to myself, was this a coincidence?

We exchanged information and went back to our rooms. That night I went home and thought about what it would be like to have my family whole again. The next day, I decided it was time to talk to my Dad about what I just found out. I asked him about my twin and he quietly stood up and began to tell me a story of how it all happened.

  "Before you and your sister was born, your mother and I were going through some hard times in our lives. We were in so much debt and we were both scared we were not going to have enough money to provide for you two. So your mother suggested that we get a divorce since it was not going to work out anyways and since we were having twins we could both have a child. When you both started to eat Whole Foods we decided it was time. I let your mom have our house in California and I moved here with you in Georgia," Dad explained.

Ever since then Dad has not spoke to either one of them as it was a traumatic time in their lives. Dad told me how beautiful and strong hearted my mom was. He also said that he has missed her and thought about her every moment they were separated. I knew he had loved her, but I wonder if they have enough love for each other,to put our family back together. I told Dad I had met my sister today, he was shocked but I could tell he was happy. He was so happy that he insisted on a dinner with them. The thing is, he wanted it to be a surprise. Maybe that way we could join them while they are eating.

When Dad told me to tell Bailey about the surprise dinner I immediately took off to call her. As soon as I called her, she answered. I told her about the surprise dinner and she was excited. Now that everyone was on the same page, all we had to do was wait. I could not imagine that I was about to get my parents back together. I was finally about to meet my mom after all these years. I had missed her so much. All these crazy thoughts came to my head. I needed to see my Mom, and soon.

   Bailey went home and asked our mom if she wanted to eat dinner before they left their vacation. As long as Bailey could find her a hot date, she would join. I think our Dad fit that description perfectly. Bailey agreed to find her a hot date, but little did Mom know that it would be her ex-husband.
