The Dynamic Duo

           In the summer of 2013, five years ago, I did not have a care in the world. It was just me, myself, and I. But when I was sixteen, I dropped out of high school.

        In my junior year, I left not only because I was behind but everyone bullied me and I could not take it any longer. So I was done and moved away from all the negativity.

        After I got into trouble one day, everyone looked at me differently. I was alone and no one knew I existed. I enjoyed school, yes. But it was not until high school where I realized people had so much hate in their hearts. Since I was the easy target, I let the bullies get to me. And I should not have, but it happened.

It had always been my Dad and me. I never really had a mother figure in my life since my parents split up while I was young. And being the only child was lonely and boring. That was until one day, I met someone who I never thought existed.

Ever since I dropped out of school, I have done nothing but stay at home. Dad is always working and I barely ever see him. He tells me all the time that he is saving up for something, but he never tells me what it is. It was hard being bullied at school to the point where, the teachers did not even care.

The teachers would tell the other kids to stop, but they never listened. The principal was 'too busy' to deal with it, as if they had better things to do. Eventually, I got so stressed out with no one helping me, people bullying me, and my dad gone all the time. Most of the time, I just stayed at the house by myself. For as long as I can remember it has always been my dad and I, and he was always gone working. We have a great relationship but, it has been years since we had a vacation or anything.

My dad has kept me sheltered for all these years. We barely had time for each other with work and school. Now that I have decided to drop out of school, I was hoping we would be closer but, that was never the case. Right when everything was great, it got ripped from my hands again, and again.

This is my first story ever!!!! Be Kind. Be nice. I am trying.
