I don't know how long it took, but what kept me going was what she said.

When I felt strong enough I opened my eyes to the bright sky and Anthony who was refusing to leave me despite pleas from my mom abd his family.

My voice was hoarse as I talked. "I'm back you damn cry baby"

He whipped his head around fast. His face still in disbelief, and then he decided on hugging me. 

"Sorry for the sca-" I started to say, when he shut me up with a passionate kiss. I let out a small laugh as everyone joined in for a hug.

I got up with Anthony's help. "How did it go?"

"Everyone held up well against the monsters with the mana spells" "not much damage"

I let out a sigh of relief.

After insisting I was fine, with Stacey pestering, I helped build buildings that were damaged.

The second princess, whose name turned out to be daisy looked remorseful as she apologized. I still didn't forgive her. I could only asked why she did it.

"Because I desperately wanted to prove myself and tge hate inside me was due to lots of things" "I know it doesn't excuse anything" "I'm so so sorry Adeline" she stopped breathing and turned to ashes leaving a wet spot on the ground from a tear.

"I'm sorry too" I whisper. Wish it didn't have to come to this. I want her to be punished, butvi also want her to be happy.

Now I get to relax here at home. I gazed at Anthony and pecked him on the cheek.

"Anthony?"

"Yeah?" He muttered.

"Are you sure you want me? I mean there are countless other girls and I'm twenty nine techinically. I'm way older than you based on my time period. You're 24 aren't you?"

I was going to speak when  he kissed me. I was pleasantly surprised.

"I don't give a shit!"

I fell silent after laughing. I wiped a tear. "Touche"

An excited Stacey barged in squealing. "Adeline, this letter is from the president!"

Oh? Would you look at that. "Open it and read it aloud"

"Dear Adeline Rose. I can't thankyou enough for all you've done for our world and to show my appreciation I'd like to invite you and your family to a celebration at (random important place) and gift you a gold medal of honor on April 22nd. I sincerely apologize for being stubborn about your warning"

My jaw dropped. Never in my past life did I think I'd get this far. I feel so emotional right now. So surreal...

Everyone was jumping up and down saying congrats. I felt happy that they were excited.

"I gotta prepare my dress!" Stacey squealed. And I chuckled. "Calm down madam, we still have a day!"
