Y/n Pov

I slouched down on the table across of Irene inside the Guild with Cana and Bill right next to me. Irene had an exceed named Rose who was a female too, she sat right next to her. Cana pulled out the map and the paper she had written the stuff on. "Since you Irene are the former queen of Dragnof and lived 400 years ago can you read this stuff and know what's up with this map." Cana asked and Irene was eating a strawberry cake and drinking her tea calmly. 

Her gaze shifted to us. "Of course I could try." She said and took the paper of Cana's hand reading it carefully. "Its the old writing of my kingdom which comes directly of the tongue of the dragons, we didn't use it as our official grammar but everyone learned it, what's written on here is just the story of the dragons grave you found. Dragons and humans in my kingdom lived very close to each other, you could say we looked out for each other and every village had a guardian dragon who protected the village and in turn the people of the village took care of his wounds and if he needed they even gave him food which rarely was requested by dragons, we coexisted perfectly and in harmony, dragons are far smarted and not as bloodthirsty as the ones on the western continent." She said and I pressed my lips into a firm line while clenching my hand.

There was still something I wanted to know. "I want to know why the place smelled like a dragon and not just any dragon but my foster dragon Nivies who's a female dragon." I shot at her and she looked at me through half closed eyes as if she was doubting something. Her armored hand had gripped the thin porcelain handle taking a slow sip of the cup. 

Her amber eyes fixed back to me giving me a warm look. "I know every dragons name from my former kingdom as there were only a thousand around, I've never heard of a female ice Dragon named Nivies, I know only four ice dragons and two of them are females named Daenerys and Etoirir, the two males were called Nidhogg and Eirwen two massive dragons who lived on Mt Hakobe but all four of those died in the dragon civil war and Etoirir was killed by Acnologia. I'm certain your Dragon didn't exist and you are just making it up." She replied calmly and I got angry.

"Listen I'm not making this up you damn old hag, I know she was a dragon she raised me from when I was little, there has to be an explanation for why you don't know her." I stated and she huffed in annoyance. "I'm not an old hag, I'm physically 23 years old." She scoffed.

Cana grabbed my hand, gently pulling me to her. "Calm down Y/n let me ask something." She stated and looked to Irene. "Maybe it was like with you and Erza, Irene. You told us that when Erza was conceived you were a human turned into a dragon so maybe others had the same fate like you and survived as well." Cana spoke and I could see on Irene she was taken aback quite a bit by it. Realization hit her after a few seconds and she placed the cup down in its saucer.

Her gaze was calm yet her eyes were vivd and I could see in her eyes something which wondered me, hurt, she seemed hurt about something she remembered in her past. "There could be a possibility like that, I know several women who had fought in the war and some of them did indeed use Ice Dragon slayer magic, they were called Diana, Elena, Boudica and Claire, I know Boudica died in the war but the other three I don't know of what happened, it would be a wild goose chase at best." Irene replied and let out a pout when she noticed her cake was finished. 

"That's still something we can work with and I know where we can start of with." I stated and Irene gave me a questioning look. "You'll be running into a dead end with that small amount of information, if you really want to find out more we can use this map we found, maybe there is something in one of the crypts to give us a guide on where she is if she's alive." She replied and Cana then gave me a grin. "So we should start and search those places up." She spoke and Irene stopped her by grabbing her arm.

We both froze to the bone with the look she gave us, one which could freeze the hottest fires and even more bone chilling then a morgue. "You two are going nowhere, these dragon burials that are here are all sealed shut and if they are opened who knows what happens, I'm going to my study at my home which has all of the information you and I need to these burials, I'll be talking to you in a few days until then I hope you two wont get into stupid ideas." She spoke with a restrained voice.

All of a sudden Irene looked towards the door and Gildarts walked in she turned back around with a frown on her face and a sigh escaping her lips. "Not again." She murmured and Cana's father walked right up to us.

He presented a bouquet of Roses to Irene and I could see her face blush lightly. "Here for the most beautiful woman in all of the guild." He spoke in a deep tone and Irene's breath stopped for a moment, I could swear I saw her face darken even more.

Cana almost choked. "Dad, I thought you stopped chasing after women!" She shrieked and I jumped in surprise. He looked over to her with a small grin. "I did but I can't leave her looking all sad." He replied and Cana puffed her cheeks. "Just admit it you cannot keep it in your pants!" She yelled pointing at him before storming out of the guild and the door shut loudly.

Irene grabbed the roses slowly from Gildarts hands while he was still frozen looking at the door. She smelled at them and was fascinated. "Thank you Gildarts they really smell lovely." She spoke tenderly and in a tone which surprised me to hear coming from her. "I just wanted to make you happy Irene really, its a thank you for helping me on the job in Alabasta, I'm really sorry to have made you play a belly dancer." He apologized.

My gaze shifted toward Erza who had witnessed this from just a table away. She was a bit embarrassed but didn't say anything to what happened. "I'm going to look after her, she might need me." I spoke and Gildarts wanted to speak up.

He was stopped by Irene getting his attention while I left the guildhall to search for her with Bill right behind me.

"Why do you think she ran away?" She asked and I shrugged. "Beats me, I have no idea why she reacted like that." I replied and made my way towards Cana's place, I knew she probably had a room in the dorm of Fairy Hills.

We walked through the town and I made a short stop looking at a store. "Whoa they sell a bottle of whisky for 50 grand, it must be one hell of a good drop then." I spoke and Bill tugged on me. "You thinking of buying it for her." She asked and I shook my head. "Nah it wouldn't be right to give her something right now, it would seem weird I think." I replied and walked further noticing the lit street lamps. "It must be evening already." I stated and Bill nodded.

We arrived at the Dorm of the girls and stood in front of the door. "Girls only." I read on a sign at the door.

"I mean Cana is the only one here right now so it should be a problem right?" I asked Bill and she nodded agreeing with me.

I reached for the door slowly as if I was scared of something happening. A cold wind blew at my back as I started turning the knob and the door opened and my blood began to freeze somehow as I was being more and more anxious about going into the girls dorm. Nothing good ever comes from going into a girls only space.

A painful feeling came over my shoulder and I dropped to the ground kneeling, I realized it soon to be a metal gauntlet belonging to someone that was pressing me down on the ground with a firm hold. "Where do you think you are going?" A quite angered voice asked.

A chill went through my spine and Bill turned around to see who it was. Her face turnet into shock. "Erza." She gasped in surprise and I already knew I wasn't going to leave this place that easy or even alive for the mater.

A sword appeared right next to me held against my throat and I got even more nervous. "I give you one chance to explain why you got to the girls dorm, you weren't planning on peeping on us when we take our baths did you?" She asked and her sword came very close to my neck almost touching it.

I gulped down a lump. "Easy Erza, I only got here because Cana ran away from the guild after she saw Gildarts give Irene a bouquet of roses, I wanted to check on her as her team mate, nothing more really, you can even observe what I'm going to do when going to Cana." I stated and hoped for a miracle to not die right here from the great Titania Erza.

Her hold on my shoulder lessened and she let go. "Gildarts gave my mother roses? I only noticed Cana yelling at him and running away, I thought he was hitting on my mother, not give her roses?" She asked dumbfounded. The sword disappeared from her hand.

"Forgive me for jumping to conclusions but I can't let you enter into the girls dorm, Bill could." She replied and I sighed looking down in defeat. "Erza can't you make an exception or you can observe me and Cana." I replied and she crossed her arms. She pondered on it for a bit before her eyes lit up.

A slow smile tugged on her lips. "Why exactly do you want to see her, do you care about her that much?" She asked and raised an eyebrow teasingly. 

I slowly nodded. "We did my first missions together and already have a set mission to go on so why wouldn't I care about my partners wellbeing, I want to see her happy and not sad." I replied and she smiled at me while letting out a soft giggle.

"You like her don't you." She asked teasingly and I felt my cheeks flush, I thanked the rather dim lighting that she couldn't see it. "I mean she does look nice but I see her more as a friend and she probably does too, besides I'm just here not even a week so how should something happen by then." I asked and she laughed softly. "You have no idea how fast some girls can fall for a person, even just a glance or a nickname could be enough to forever make you be in their mind." She spoke softly and then opened the door. "I'll allow it, two hours nothing more, if I catch you still there after it I will be throwing you out of the gate." She replied and I let out a relieved sigh.

"Thank you Erza." I said and she waved it off. "Doesn't mean I wont keep an eye on you." She glared at me.

I walked up the stairs and searched for Cana's room with Erza following me close behind. I found Cana's room and Erza leaned with her shoulder on the wall waiting for me to do something.

I knocked on the door and heard something behind it. "Cana its me Y/n, I've come to see why you ran away, are you ok or should I bring you something." I asked through the door.

I heard a noise behind the door and a key turning before it opened revealing her. Her eyes seemed a little puffy and I could smell the scent of liquor. "Its nice that you came to look after me but you really shouldn't be here, if Erza catches you here I can't say what she'll do to you, she's the one who oversees the place." Cana replied and I sweat dropped. "About that." I said and motioned to the side.

Cana looked out and to the left seeing Erza who made a little wave with her hand. "I allowed it." She replied and Cana made a tiny nod. "Can I come inside I know it might be a little personal but I was worried when you ran off like that." I stated and she was surprised by it.

She opened the door and let us all inside even Erza who at the begin refused to enter to leave us alone. Cana started to drink on one of her many bottles she had in the room but surprising to what I thought, her room was clean and the alcohol bottles all were sorted and only a few very expensive ones seem to be as a collection for her. We both sat on the bed while Erza was sitting silently on the only chair in the room. "So what made you come here?" Cana asked and I smiled softly.

"I was worried about you leaving the guild so suddenly and I thought something wasn't right, that you needed someone to talk to if you want." I spoke and she was rather surprised about what I said.

She grabbed her right arm with her left hand and looked at me with a face filled of sorrow. "The reason I ran away is because I couldn't stand seeing my father hit on another woman. I thought he was over it and I was the most import now in his life now. It hurts to be betrayed by the only one you trust." She spoke and began to tremble.

I gazed into her eyes which showed such an intensity like I've never seen for me. If I'm not careful I could do something stupid with her and not be able to repair the damage I did.

I took her into a hug and she gasped in shock before her hands went around my back. "Thanks I really need that." She spoke silently and then leaned back again releasing me from the hug. "I understand how you feel Cana, I too once ran from home because of a argument I had with my adoptive parents." I said and she perked an eyebrow. "Adoptive parents?" She asked in wonder and I nodded. "The Silvers are my adoptive parents, they live in a town near Crocus." I replied and she smiled at me softly.

Good that smile of hers with those soft looking lips she has, that rosy color and her light taint makes me crazy by just looking at her. I cupped her face with my hands wiping away some of her tears and she was looking right at my own eyes, her light fanning breath smelling of alcohol didn't bother me as our faces got closer her own hands touched my neck and rested on it.

A rasping sound got both of us out of the trance and we looked over to Erza who gave us a stern face but I could see her blushing cheeks as she almost witnessed us kissing. "I think you need to go Y/n, Cana is quite drunk right now and the dorm doesn't allow any sort of vulgar behavior." She spoke and grabbed the neck of my shirt.

Seconds later I was thrown right at the front door of the dorm with Erza giving me a serious look. "Next time you should try and restrain yourself, you almost took advantage of Cana's drunken state." She exclaimed in pissed tone.

I let out a sigh and Erza then gently placed a hand on my shoulder. "There is one more thing, I've never seen Cana have a smile like that on her, when the two of you crossed your looks I noticed her gaze different and much more fiery then usual." She spoke and then stood back up going inside.

I sat in my room at the desk writing a letter to my adoptive parents, I could sleep well in the night before and decided to stand up early, I was still a little worried about Cana but seeing her smile made me ease the worry. "Dear mom and dad, I have reached the place I told you both about, Fairy Tail, a guild which is the most known in Fiore having protected the kingdom from great catastrophes and even a war, I could not be happier and thank you for your support and I hope we can see each other soon." I wrote down on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope.

I grabbed the copy of the map that Cana found in the archive a few days ago. "Bill if I remember it right I think I saw a job request which was on this island pinned on the board do you know which one it was." I asked her and she shook her head in a no. "I only remember it being an S class quest." She replied and I groaned in annoyance. "I don't think we can go on it." I stated and slouched down on the chair.

A knock on my door made me look up from my chair and wonder who could be here at this early hour. I opened the door and Cana stood there with her brown shorts and blue swimsuit top. "Hey Y/n I'm sorry to barge in so early in the morning, the guild isn't even open yet and I was awake early she spoke and sat down on my sofa. "You want something to drink." I asked and she shook her head. "Actually no I wanted to talk to you about a job request and our little mission you wanted to do so eagerly." Cana spoke and pulled out a request, I took it home yesterday wanting to read it further and investigate." She spoke and our eyes almost fell out from the shock.

"You want us to go on an S class quest with you." I stated and she smiled at me. "Yeah the reward is good and the quest itself isn't going to be such a pain in the ass, its just to take care of the monsters which have been coming out of the ancient crypt terrorizing the village on the island." She spoke and waved it in front of us. "And who knows maybe they have information about your dragon too and know where she is." She replied and I bit my lip nervously. "An S class job with you are you even an S class?" I asked and she shook her head. "I'm not but I did take part in the trials so I think it doesn't mater."She replied and grabbed my hand taking me with her.
