The Beginning

Squish grinned, staring at her talons. She was an animus. Yes. Herself. Oh, Squish could now do anything she wanted! Anything! Her large body seemed to glow in the sunlight. "Squish!" Her father yelled. Argh, stupid studying. Her parents wanted Squish to be super smart and whatnot. Squish would not allow that.

"I enchant this rock to make my father and mother to forget about studying and making me learn things when it touches them." Squish smiled. "And maybe...Make me look more dazzling." Yes. That would do. Yes yes yes yes.  Squish stepped over a small pile of cow manure, looking disgusted. She stepped up to her father, gently booping him on his nose with the rock.

"My, dear Squish, you look beautiful! So pretty indeed." Her father said dreamily.

"Yes, yes." Squish sighed, but couldn't help but grinning on the inside. "Now time for mother!" Squish danced away, then tapped her mother's forehead with the rock.

"Ah-what was I going to say again? Never mind." Mudslide said, her tail swishing. "Oh, Squish, you look stunning!" She cried. "So beautiful, so so so beautiful." Squish grinned.

"Why thank you, mother!" Squish mumbled, pretending to be embarrassed. "I must get going, I have  some work to do." Squish said, stepping gracefully outside.

"Stick, I enchant you to make every male dragon to fall in love with me." Squish said happily, clutching a small stick.

Foam smiled faintly as his grandfather rewarded him. "Yes yes yes!" He cried. "You will be the hero who saves us all! The great one who stops the flood!" Foam sighed. The great flood, along with the plague. The SeaKingdom has been flooding with toxic water lately, and Foam's grandfather thinks he can save the world and stuff. Foam didn't want to save the world, he just wanted to be a normal SeaWing. But noooOOoOoOooOo he had to be the ultimate hero dragon and blah blah blah. Foam just wanted to work on his small aquarium in the hidden beach hut he had found. It consisted of: crabs, types of fish, jellyfish, a stonefish, octopi, and a sea creature he didn't know the name of. Out of all of the creatures, the octopi was his favorite, especially the small little blue and green one who was quite outgoing and brave, despite his size.

"May I go now?" Foam asked softly.

"Ah-yes, you may." Seagull stepped aside, looking ashamed.

"Thanks," Foam called from over his shoulder. Seagull flashed a toothy grin, his blue-green scales flashing brightly in the sunlight. Foam wanted to look like his grandfather, not a yellow Seawing. Yellow underbelly, deep blue scales, sea green eyes, and his bioluminescence scales were a stupid yellow. Argh. Foam heard a scream-his grandfather. The water-it couldn't have been here, not yet. Foam quickly ran over.

"Grandfather!" He yelled, his eyes flashing with fear. "Come on, we have to get out of here!" The water sizzled, almost evilly. Three moons, we might not get out of here alive. Foam realized suddenly.

Darn this stupid flower. Stupid animus magic. Stupid everyone. Alp thought angrily. Why do we even need this stupid flower? I mean, it's only a flower. It'll die in like, a day, probably. Or maybe not. Most likely it will. Someone will set it on fire.

"Queen Alp!" Apple, her advisor yelled. Alp turned, her yellow-gold eyes confused.

"What? It better be somethin' good, I'm bored. And if it's not, I will be highly disappointed." Alp said, slightly annoyed. "I mean, royally disappointed." She quickly corrected herself, hoping he hadn't noticed.

He obviously had.

"Prin-Queen Alp, there is a murder report. Quite close to the palace." Apple readjusted his glasses, brow furrowed.

Alp shot up. Now this is interesting. She thought. "Where? When? Why? Who? What?" Alp asked, nervous excitement bubbling in her stomach. Apple smiled.

"By the old arena, about a few minutes ago, most likely 20. Why, I don't know. Who, I also don't know. And what-someone just got murdered, that's what."

Alp stiffened. What if that dragon was my friend? What if-what if it was Ashen?  Worry now filled her stomach. Ashen was her best friend, and a slight crush. Of course, she only liked him a bit. And they had grow apart when she had become queen, so Alp doubted she would see Ashen any time soon.

"Why don't we go check it out?" Alp asked.

Aardwolf sat down.

"Your Majesty." Badland said, his deep voice sounding deeper.

"What?" Aardwolf asked.

"We need you to go to the SkyKingdom." Badland growled. "Like the five times we told you last month, but you forgot every time." Aardwolf sighed internally. He just wanted to run away, forever. And ever. And ever.

Stupid prince duties. Aard thought. He shifted, his black eyes looking at Badland nervously. "I-I am sorry." Aardwolf choked out. Badland scared him. A lot, like a lot a lot.

"Yeah right," Badland snarled, his eyes glinting somewhat-evilly? "I've been waiting for this moment all my life." He said, somewhat smugly. "To kill you." Aardwolf backed away.

"N-no you-you wouldn't!" Aardwolf cried. Badland shifted closer, grinning.

"Yes, yes I would. I would be very glad too." He smiled, lifting a talon to Aardwolf's throat. Aardwolf kicked him, and Badland groaned slightly. He stepped onto Aardwolf's tail, the venom barb, and let out a shriek of terror and pain.

"That was easy." Aardwolf sighed, seeing Badland crumple to the ground. His mother barged in, yelling.

"What just happened?" Aardwolf gulped.

"I-I can explain!"

Fox stared at his talons, which were covered in blood. A dragon lay next to him, also covered and blood. The dragon-who was a fierce guard, was dead.

"I killed another dragon!" Fox sang, looking quite pleased. He stepped over the guard, taking his valuables and spear. Now to kill another dragon! Fox thought. Moons, it sure is hot over here. Fox fanned himself. He flapped away, looking pleased.

The hybrid queen paced her palace thinking. Where could this flower be? And why would someone want it?  Well, it's supposed to bring peace and happiness and food and water to your kingdom. Her inner genius said. Yeah, so? Why do dragons want that?  Her inner idiot asked. Because, who doesn't?  Genius Personality said. Mossfire angrily snapped, Shut up! She then clutched her head, groaning. Why do I have to have those stupid personalities? They annoy me so much, even if they are a part of my mind!

"My Queen?" A dragonet-she forgot his name spoke.

"Yes?"

"The-The Rainwings won't listen." He shifted nervously.

"Why?"

"I don't know-they for some reason want a normal queen, not a hybrid."

"That's dumb and rude." Mossfire said angrily.

"I know. I told them to stop but they didn't listen."

"Let's go talk to Queen Color and how about we work it out together?" Mossfire suggested. The RainKingdom was ruled by Mossfire, herself, and Color. Mossfire was okay with Color-not super okay though.

Dauntless grinned at his talons. "Now, enchant that earring to make me-noticed."

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Dauntless's little sister barged in. Dauntless scowled. Enchant this stick to make my sister go away forever. The rock hummed, then his sister disappeared. There. Much much much better. Dauntless thought, smiling. (Author's note: No matter how annoying your sib is, don't make them go away forever.)

"YASS QUEEN GUESS WHAT, DAUNTLESS!" Dauntless's other little sister yelled.

"What?" Dauntless sighed.

"I got my first good feedback on my test review!"

"Great! What did she say?" Dauntless asked, pretending to be interested and look innocent. He had cast a spell onto her teacher to write that.

"It said this: 'Great job! I see improvement! I know you will succeed.'" Blacksky said happily.

"Good! I believe in you, Blacksky." Dauntless frowned. "Now shoo before I make you." He hissed.

"Wha-but I don't wanna go!"

"Bad choice, Blacksky." Dauntless laughed. Enchant this flower to...mute Blacksky forever.

Color smiled. Another beautiful day! She thought happily.

"Color!" Mossfire barked. Color turned. She scowled.

"I'll get your talking board," Burst said, the dragonet Mossfire was standing next to. He raced over, grabbing the board and ink. "Here you go." Burst said shyly.

'Thanks Burst.' Color wrote. 'I appreciate it.'

Burst looked as if he was going to burst. "An-anytime!" He stammered, blushing. Color knew the dragonet had a crush on her, and thought that was cute.

"So, how's the dragons who are sick?" Mossfire asked.

'Good. We've been suffering worse than the other tribes, by far.' Color wrote. Mossfire sighed.

"I really do hope we can find a cure, don't you?"

'Yes, of course! Why wouldn't I?' Color asked.

"I don't know..."
