Undignified Reign

Pete's POV

We managed to get out of the building quickly, stopping to hide every so often with some of the dragons using their abilites to help get everyone out. A few of the elderly were able to use a sort of camaflauge to keep some of the hatchlings from being caught while their flying above everyone, excluding Ersor. She was sitting on Patrick's back as he trotted beside Stella, still in his wolf form, apparently wanting to make sure that if someone was to go after us, he could take them down quickly, with less noise.

We made it to the large patch of woods there, and, once we were deep enough, shifted. Everone was grateful that we were finally outside, in the fresh air. I watched as the families nuzzled each other, and the hatchlings flew higher, with the open space. Patrick was shifted in his dragon form, happily nuzzling Stella as well as Ersor when she was close enough, getting happy squeaks from her.

I smiled at the three, then looked at Stella's uncle, noticing that he was holding one of his fore paws above the ground, watching it drip blood slightly from Patrick's vicious attack on the wrist, making me smirk slightly. It shows what Patrick will do to keep his mate and, unintentional, hatchling from harm, and that wrist will scar, even in both forms, that Robert shouldn't mess with anyone that Patrick cares about.

Stella looked over as well, stepping away from Patrick, and walked over to her uncle with a frown.

"You will be taking us to the palace now, Yes?" She asked him, raising a scaled brow, a silent order in place.

I watched him glare, then nod stiffly. "Of course, niece." He sneered, before pushing past her, hobbling on three of his paws to keep from hurting his injured one.

I caught a smirk on Patrick's  face as Robert went passed him, making me snort. I glanced at the other dragons to see that they were watching as well, wanting to see the reaction, I guess.

All they got was Robert growling slightly, then flapped his wings a couple times, so he was in the air. Everyone did the same thing, and we were heading to the palace.

Joe's POV

It took a few hours for us to get to the palace, and it looked like it had a brighter look and feel to it, as if it could physically feel Stella coming to take her rightful place as Queen. I'm sure Stella could feel it too, though, I guess the Palace has always had a sort of magical feel to it.

We all landed in the courtyard, and shifted, everyone looking at Stella, as she stared at her Uncle with an intense gaze, Ersor in her arms.

"Take me to the throne room." She said calmly, but the air around seemed thick with authority.

"Of course." He sneered, going to the door, the door opening itself, told you the palace had a magic feel to it.

Elrik's POV

We followed Robert into the palace, and it may have just been me, but the palace felt like, the further we got into it, the brighter it looked and felt. I looked over at Stella, and seen how relaxed she looked than she did in one of many of Thomas's buildings. I looked around, and noticed some of the palace guards were just watching with avid interest, wanting to know who the many dragons were, and what the 'King' was doing here already. I smirked slightly, knowing what may come to Robert once Stella takes up the mantle her mother left her.

Gerard's POV

I stood close to Mikey as we followed Stella's Uncle, the palace feeling much brighter than it usualy would on a normal day. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I think it has to do with Stella being here. The guards were watching us as we walked through, as if they knew what might happen, but right now, I wasn't sure if Robert would go back on his word, and just turn around and have the guards just kill us all as if we were wanted thieves. However, he continued to guide us all to the throne room, and I'm surprised that the rest of the dragons that were behind us didn't go back to their homes, where they could get food and some sleep, because I can tell from some of the bags in their eyes that most of them hadn't slept.

Andy's POV

I couls feel the relief from the palace at having the rightful heir to the throne, like it knew that Stella was going to return someday.  I smiled lightly, as Stella seemed at ease as the air around her seemed to circle her with relief, praise, and love. As we walked, I kept a light hold around Kyla's waist, tensing slightily every time someone bumped into us. Once we got to the throne room, all at once, things seemed to drop.

The palace guards surrounded all of us with their weapons drawn, letting Robert pass them, as he went up to the throne and sat in it,smirking, as his normal clothes changed to that of what a king would where, and the air around Stella seemed to still as she stared at the guards with an intense gaze, a few of them were shuffling slightly, already being effected slightly. I watched her hand off Ersor to Patrick, who was glaring at them, as he bounced Ersor slightly on his hip.

"What do you think your doing?" She asked sharply, an air of authority in her tone.

One of the guards infront of her glared as he said sharply,

"You were not asked to be here by the king, so we must ask you and your friends to leave, Ma'am."

Stella tilted her head slightly as she asked,

"What's you name?"

The guard frowned. "Captain Navyrn Price, Ma'am" He said.

Stella nodded. "Alright, Captain Price, has my mother ever told you to harbor liars in the palace? Let alone allow him to be king?" She asked, as she let her clothes change to her dress and weapons as she did for her uncle in the cells.

There were audible gasps from the guards as they mermured amongst each other as they questioned how the Princess was still alive. I watched in glee as Robert's eyes were wide, and his smirk was completly gone as he gaped at the guards.

Captain Price gaped at Stella, confused and surprised, as he said,

"I thought you were killed along the the Gueen and her mate, everyone thought you were dead..."

Stella shook her head with a smile. "Not by a long shot." She said softly.
