A/N: Above is Kyla's Dragon form.
Patrick's POV
I woke up to the end credits of Pocahontas, and smiled, seeing both of my girls asleep. Stella had her head laid against my chest, as Ersor was still laying on my shoulder. I chuckled when Ersor reached for me in her sleep as I moved my shoulder some so I could sit up, and laid her next to Stella. I stood, easing Stella on the couch cushion, and kissed her forehead. I headed to the kitchen to make me some tea. Once I was in the kitchen, I got a cup of tea started when I heard a snort behind me. Turning to whoever it was, seeing Ethan eyeing me, I eyed him distainfully, and frowned.
"What?" I snapped, not in the mood to deal with him.
"Well, for starters, why do you even drink tea?" He asked, raising a brow.
I rolled my eyes, leaning against the Kitchen counter behind me. "Because I like tea? Just because I'm a Dragon, gives me no reason to not like tea. I'm sure you like it too, so don't give me that crap." I spat, still watching my language unconsciously thinking about Ersor.
Ethan smirked. "What? Can't curse anymore with the little brat running around?" He asked, making me growl.
"She's not a brat, so I'd keep your tongue from moving, before I cut it out myself." I threatened with a snarl, watching his eyes widen slightly, before he said with a smirk,
"Here I thought you were you were the nice one in the band."
I snarled slightly. "Sorry, things change when your being hunted by humans who think that even after the Renaissance Times that you're still dangerous." I hissed, flashing my eyes angrily.
Ethan rolled his eyes. "Alright, the next thing I was gonna say is that you won't get anything new on Thomas because he had separate Comm's made to confuse your Hunter friends from getting any useful information. Have fun trying to get the actual Comm's." He said, smirking to himself.
I growled, no wonder Brendon couldn't tell us about anything the Hunter's planning on making a pit stop towards the mating grounds.
"Well, until you can tell us anything else useful about Thomas, your staying in here." I said, working on my tea, throwing away the tea bag, and headed into the living room.
"HEY! Aren't you gonna feed me or something? I haven't ate for two days!" Ethan yelled, making me stop.
I glanced at Ersor and Stella, glad they were still asleep, then turned to look at Ethan.
"You think I should reward you when you killed a defenseless Mother, WHILE she was sleeping?" I asked lowly, holding my mug tightly to keep from lashing out.
"I'm just doing my job." Ethan muttered, after he looked down.
I growled. "And so am I." I hissed, turning and headed into the living room.
I sat in an arm chair, but close to Stella and Ersor, as another Disney movie played. I heard thumps coming from the stairs twenty minutes into the movie, so I looked up to see Kyla coming down the stairs.
"Morning." I spoke softly, so I didn't wake the girls.
Kyla waved slightly as she glanced at the couch. "I take it she had a rough night with Ersor?" She asked, smiling softly.
I chuckled. "I woke up this morning with the two watching Pocahontas." I said, getting a nod from Kyla, who looked like she didn't know what the movie was.
"Have you ever seen it?" I asked, getting a head shake of no.
"I...haven't really been able to educate myself on movies since I've been a rogue." She said sheepishly, looking down.
I rose a brow, slightly confused. "What do you mean? How long have you been a rogue?" I asked, getting a sigh from her.
Kyla looked up at me. "Since I was twelve."
"What happened? If you're comfortable with it."
Kyla nodded, sitting in another arm chair, sighing. "I wasn't born in the United States, I was born in Mexico. My father was the pack leader, as well our culture was different. Where you have a King and Queen to govern your people, we stuck with classes. The wealthier nobility stayed in Mexico City.
"When I was fifteen I was to be mated with another pack's son to, hopefully, unite both packs against the Cartel. However, their son betrayed his own pack, getting mine killed. I went rogue after the attack, and crossed over illegally. Since then, I've been living on the streets...Well, till I ran into Andy at the mating grounds a couple days ago." She explained, smiling softly.
I chuckled, knowing I made the right choice to let her stay. Now, to see if I can get Stella to help me get the two together.
"If you think I'm going to send you back, your mistaken. I wouldn't send you back, knowing they may end up killing you." I said, sternly.
Kyla nodded, smiling. "I know. I trust you, Patrick. I know your mate wouldn't either." She said, getting a nod from me.
"Exactly. I don't-" I was interrupted, hearing a crash in the Kitchen and thumps, so I got up to see what was going on, setting my cup of tea on the coffee stand, heading to the kitchen.
I walked in, seeing the chair Ethan was tied to, broken, as said Hunter and Elrik were on the floor, seemingly wrestling.
"WHAT are you two doing?" I asked, emphasizing the first word to get their attention.
Elrik looked up at me, his eyes purple.
"He tried to run off, so I tackled him." He said simply.
I looked at Ethan, then back up at Elrik.
"Take him down to the basement with Brendon and Hayley. They'll keep an eye on him." I said, getting a nod from the young dragon. As Elrik took Ethan to the basement, I glared at the broken chair, cleaning up the mess.
As I threw the last piece of the chair away, I sighed, and got some baby food out that we managed to find in the pantry. Yes, the food is good, we made sure to check the experation date to see if it was any good. I looked into the living room, seeing my two girls still asleep, making me smile softly, as I worked on Ersor's breakfast. I know that today will be a LONG day.
