Runions

Patrick's POV

I was walking to the throne room, where I'd seen Alexander standing, and noticed Stella wasn't in here yet. I glanced around the large room, seeing just how much it changed with Stella coming back.

He turned around seeing me after a short while with a small breath. "Hey." He muttered a little standoffish.

I nodded back. "Hey."

"What's this place?" He asked looking around.

"Stella's throne room. This was where she disowned her uncle, and took the crown. We had a large group of dragons who were imprisoned by Thomas...and I suppose she earned their support for getting them out." I said with a shrug, but with a fond smile.

Alexander nodded looking around still. "Any ideas how Kyla wound up in those 'Mating grounds'?"

"I suppose she followed some dragons. She would have wanted a safe place to stay." I answered.

Alexander looked at me with an expression of shock mixed with sadness. "She used to not hide. Not like that. That night... is she here?"

I nodded. "I think Stella went to go find her. May explain why she wasn't in here yet."

"How has she been?" He asked looking down.

I smiled softly. "She's been doing well." I replied, as I heard tiny footsteps running behind me, making me turn around to see Ersor running with a smile towards me.

I chuckled, picking her up when she was close, and kissed her cheek, getting a giggle from her.

"Da!" She said brightly.

I smiled at her. "Yes, Petite Drágon?" I asked, chuckling.

"W-who dat?" She asked, tilting her head slightly as she pointed at Alexander.

"Hola pequeña (Hello little one,) I'm Alex. What's your name?" Alexander said softly.

Ersor smiled brightly. "Ersor!" She said excitedly, making me proud that she was learning words so quickly. Most human children her age would still have some trouble with putting words together.

"That's a cool name." Alexander said with a smile.

I chuckled at him. "Stella named her. I think it means fire and she was thinking of Ersor's dragon form when she did. Ersor's Mother was killed by a hunter, so She and I took her in." I supplied to him with a smile.

"Kyla's parents did the same for a child back home. Is the child here?" He asked.

I shook my head slightly. "When Andy came up to us with her, there wasn't anyone else with her." I said softly.

Alexander bit his lip slightly as he looked down.

I rose a brow slightly. "Is there a reason for that question?" I asked, setting Ersor down so she run around more.

"I was hoping if you had Kyla maybe you'd have Rosalia too." He said softly.

I shook my head. "You May have to ask Kyla about that."

Alexander nodded softly. "May I see her?"

I heard two pairs of footsteps to our right. Glancing over I saw Kyla and Stella.

"Is everything OK Stella? You seemed frantic." Kyla said looking at her.

I watched Stella smile. "Well, there's someone I think you would like see." She said, chuckling.

"Who?" Kyla asked not seeing Alexander just yet.

"Kyla?" Alexander asked with a shaky voice.

I and Stella smiled as we watched Kyla's eyes widen in surprise, then ran at him.

"Alex!" She shouted hugging him tight.

Alexander hugged her back with glassy eyes. Kyla held on crying softly. After a short while, Alexander pulled away. "¿Y Rosalía? ¿Está con ustedes? (And Rosalia? Is she with you?)

Kyla looked down biting her lip. "She... she died. They killed her before I could get to her. Alex perdóname.(Alex forgive me.) She said now in full blown tears.

Stella rose a brow. "Who is Rosalia?" She asked, confused.

"A hatching Kyla and her family took in. Kyla would watch her all the time. Then that night I heard Kyla's father yell for her to find Rosalia and to leave. Kyla didn't want to but..." Alexander paused looking at Kyla sadly.

"She had to." Stella said softly.

I knew she understood how it felt, seeing as she had to leave her parents to burn in her home.

Alexander nodded.

"They killed her right in front of me..." Kyla said in between tears.

Alexander held her close shushing her softly.

I glanced at Stella, who looked away slightly.

Alexander continued to comfort her only he sighed softly. "There's something you should know."

Kyla looked up at him with a nod.

"Eduardo... is alive and he's here in the states." He said with his eyes flashing black. In that same moment I could hear Kyla growling lowly. "Ky, calm down... please." Alexander said with a hint of worry on his face.

I rose a brow as Kyla's growl began to get louder. It was then, I noticed her hands were at her side and beginning to look like they were on fire...

'Stella, look at Kyla's hands.' I quickly sent.

She glanced back, and I watched as her eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"Kyla...Calm down, alright? There's no use getting you ability ready for use in here. We'll find Eduardo.... And everyone else who wronged our kind." She spoke calmly and softly, trying to coax Kyla into calming down.

Kyla didn't seem to hear Stella making Alexander's eyes widen. "How long has she had this ability?" He asked.

"I'm not sure." Stella answered.

'I don't think Kyla knows what's happening right now. I don't think she can control it.' I sent to Stella.

Stella glanced at me with a nod.

"Kyla please look at me." Alexander begged when suddenly the flames disappeared only for Kyla to faint shortly after.

Stella walked over to the two. "We should take her to her room to rest." She spoke softly to Alexander.

Alexander nodded grabbing Kyla. "Which way is her room?" He asked.

Stella smiled softly. "Follow me." She said, as she went in the direction she and Kyla came from not too long ago.

Alexander nodded softly following her with Kyla in his arms bridal style.

I followed them, hoping either Pete or Joe was watching Ersor so she wouldn't see what's happening. She's had enough excitement, I think, for a long while for hatchling her age. She doesn't need to be scarred even more.

Ersor's POV

I giggled quietly as I hid behind a pillar, waiting for Uncle Andy and Uncle Joey to come find me. We were playing hide and seek. Uncle Petey and I were hiding, but I don't know where Uncle Petey went.

"Esie, come out come out wherever you are!" Uncle Joey called while I giggled quietly behind the pillar.

I peeked around slightly, seeing Uncle Joey looking behind a different pillar, making me giggle again, quickly getting behind the pillar again so I didn't get caught.

"Esie... I'll give you a cookie if you come out..." Uncle Joey called making me freeze a little.

"Really? A cookie?" Uncle Andy asked making me smile.

"What's the matter about giving her a cookie? Kids like cookies." Uncle Joey said.

"Is that how you win at hide and seek with Ruby?" Uncle Andy asked with a grin.

".....Maybe...." Uncle Joey drawled slowly.

Uncle Andy shook his head laughing. I could hear someone behind me laughing.

"Uncle Petey..." I whispered with a giggle.

"Wait...you hear that?" Uncle Joey asked.

"Hear what?" Uncle Andy asked raising a brow.

"I heard Pete laughing." Uncle Joey pointed out.

"Really?" Uncle Andy asked.

"Seriously!" Uncle Joey said.

It went on for hours, it felt like, when Uncle Joey and Uncle Andy finally stopped their arguing, going their separate ways again. I giggled softly, as Uncle Petey peeked around the corner to see if they were gone. I squealed loudly as I was suddenly yanked from the side, and into a pair of arms. I looked up, eyes wide from surprise, seeing Uncle Andy smiling widely down at me. I smiled back in response, then giggled.

"You scared me, Uncle Andy!" I giggled, hugging him.

"We're just that good, pipsqueak." He chuckled.

"I'm not a pipsqueak, Uncle Andy!" I pouted, glaring at him slightly.

"Alright, you're not a pipsqueak." He chuckled.

"I'm a princess!" I stated.

"Yes, you are a princess, and your Momma and Papa will always be there for you. Remember that, Ersor." Uncle Andy said with a firm voice.

"I will Uncle Andy." I said quietly with a nod, hugging him again, getting a chuckle.

"Let's go see if your Mom and Pops are alright, then. Shall we?" He suggested, and carried me with him to wherever mommy and Daddy were.
