Hatchlings Can be Trouble But so Can Hunters

Stella's POV
I woke up, hearing things crash in the kitchen, and Patrick growling.

"Ersor, get back in your seat!" He hissed, and I heard a screech in return, which sounded like a laugh.

I chuckled, sitting up, and rubbed my eyes, jumping slightly, hearing another crash. I sighed, smiling softly, and stood, going into the kitchen, and froze, seeing the mess. Pots and pans were scattered over the floor, glass shards were everywhere, chairs were toppled over, water was all over the floor, as well as the trash.

"Well, this is certainly something to wake up to." I said, chuckling.

Both Ersor and Patrick stopped running at the same time, which made it comical, because both of them had wide eyes, staring at me.

"I...was trying to get her to eat her food, but she wouldn't listen and shifted to her dragon form...And...Well...You can see, and hear, the results." Patrick explained sheepishly, hissing slightly when Ersor's tail smacked the side of his face as she ran over to me.

Ersor chirped happily up at me, making me raise a brow expectantly. She huffed, and shifted human, raising her small arms expectantly. I chuckled, picking her up, and looked for her food on the table, seeing it wasn't touched in the carnage of the destroyed kitchen. I picked up a chair, and sat in it, Ersor on my lap, as I fed her. I glanced over at Patrick with a smile, seeing that he had his mouth hung open.

"Close that trap of yours, or a fly will fly in." I said with a chuckle, seeing him snap it closed.

"How, did you get her to settle down like that?" He asked, picking up a chair to sit beside me, kissing my cheek in thanks more than likely.

"The fact that I did the same thing with my Father is a start. My mother always gave me the same look I gave Ersor to get her to stop." I said with a chuckle, setting the spoon down, since she finished the bowl.

"I thought you said you were always being watched by him?" Patrick asked, confused.

"I was, but when my mother was home she made sure to point out who was in charge to me, so I didn't forget." I said smiling, hearing footsteps coming up from the basement, seeing Elrik frowning.

"What's the matter, Elrik?" Patrick asked.

"The hunter wants to speak with Stella." He said simply.

I stood up, then glanced at Patrick. "Is the hunter the reason we're missing a chair?" I asked, getting a nod.

"He tried to escape earlier, I stopped him though." Elrik said proudly, making me chuckle, as I handed Ersor to Patrick, who pouted playfully.

"Hey, I fed the baby. My turn to see what the hunter wants." I said, smirking, pecking his lips.

Patrick smiled. "Fine, 'Princess'." He said with a smirk.

I chuckled, heading down into the basement, seeing the equipment that Hayley and Brendon had set up, making me shake my head. There were too many computers, keyboards, Comms, which were going off with different frequencies, as I seen the hunter in a corner, facing a wall, away from the screens.

"Why's he facing the wall?" I asked, walking over to Brendon, who was typing away at one of the computers.

"Wouldn't stop telling us that working with dragons and what we're doing is wrong." Hayley said, with an eye roll.

I chuckled, glancing back at the hunter. "They wanted to redeem themselves for their friends, something I'm sure you don't have." I said, watching him tense, then visably relax, almost like he was telling himself to.

"You don't know that." He muttered.

Raising a brow, I walked over to him, while saying, "If your 'friends' really cared about you, they would have tried to track down your last known location, even though that tracking device you had on was worthless. They just wanted to feed you to the largest creatures on Earth. Be it as it may, the only reason your still alive is information. I can easily pick it out of that head of yours, but I'm not, because I know that the longer your starvation hits you, you'll be willing to give up anything we need for food."

I was standing right behind him when he tensed even more, as I heard his stomach protest at the mention of the word food, making me smirk slightly.

"Your supposed to be a Princess, not treating me this way." He whispered.

"Be lucky I'm not letting anyone in the cabin beat you like your precious leader had done to me. Starvation would be the LEAST of your worries." I said, rolling my eyes with a glare, eyes flashing once.

I heard the sound of rope hitting the floor, and frowned. "I wish I could say the same about you." I heard him mutter, and then I was being knocked over by him.

I growled, and maneuvered us so I was holding him down, eyes bright purple, as I growled.

"What was that supposed to do? Scare me? I've dealt with bigger hunters than you, and all they've done was make my scales quiver in anger. Don't test me, boy." I hissed, watching him smirk.

"What?" I growled.

"Nothing, besides the fact that I still had the tracker on." He said, making my eyes widen, as I heard yells from upstairs, and a baby crying....Ersor!

I hissed, and ran upstairs, Hayley and Brendon close behind with their guns ready, and what I was looking at made my skin crawl.

Standing infront of me, holding an unconscious Ersor with a sleeping dart sticking to her shoulder, as Thomas pulled it out, smirking. I realized that he had hunters pointing their guns at each of my friends's heads, all except Patrick. He was laying unconscious on the floor as a small pool of blood surrounded his head. I growled lowly, looking right at Thomas coldly.
