June 3rd, 2018 I'm just doing it in our time period.

"Stars twinkle above. The wind blows through my hair, whistling past her ears, the trees bristle, torches were lit alongside of the top of the castle walls, and frogs are croaking into the night.
But the I have one thing on their mind that night.
To keep the king safe from harm.

Yes. I am a guard of King Harrow. I have been informed of an attack that will happen that very night, and I'm ready for it. Ready as I'll ever be in my entire life.
Then out of no where, the torches blue out. Not by wind because at that time, it was still. No. I'm not alone anymore.
'Show yourself!' I shouted, as I withdrew my sword. One above my head, and one straight out. In front of me was an elf. But not just any elf.

A shadow elf.
Shadow elves are dangerous in this kingdom. They bind themselves to a promise. That bound cannot be broken unless the promise is fulfilled.
This one has purple skin and white hair with braids in it. His eyes are a bright green with an intimidating look. He wore strange armour, and had a bow in hand with arrows attached to his back.

'Hault is a weird way to greet a guest,' the elf commented, walking closer. 'The name is Runaan, and I am a guest. I simply just wish to visit the king.' Not buying it, I stood my ground. 'Surely you can make an acceptation?'
I rested a sword on my shoulder. 'Sorry, but the king isn't seeing anyone today!' I went back to my stance.
The elf sighed. 'I guess we'll have to do this the hard way!'
I smirked. 'My thoughts exactly!'
He started running, then jumped up high above me, then collided his swords with mine. This happened multiple times as he swung them at me. I have to admit, his fighting skills are good, but not good enough.

I swung my leg high, then slammed my foot onto him, pinning him down. I pointed my sword to his neck. 'Surrender, elf! You have been stopped!' Suddenly, a sound of a horn sounded throughout the castle. The elf then smirked himself.

"Have I now?' My eyes widened, making me loose focus. He pushed my sword out of his face, then swept my legs and I fell to the side. Slightly struggling to get up, I saw that the elf has already disappeared.

I then realized something...

He was stalling me!

That was over a year ago. The war between elves have finally ended, and there is now peace between Katalis and Xadia. Small elves and children are playing together, and the adults are getting along slowly, but surely.

Runaan and I immediately met each other again and I felt content. To be honest, I've developed a bit of a crush on him. He's been teaching me his fighting skills and about his culture. It's really interesting and I love it so much"

"What are you doing!?" I yelled after I entered my room. Runaan turned around quickly, with a book in his hand.

My diary.

"I-Die... Uh..." he stuttered, but I shook my head in disappointment. I walked closer to him.
"You should know better than to read someone's diary!" I'm up in his face now, and I snatched the book out of his hands, leaving him in shock. "Why I'd outta-

He kissed me.

It caught me by surprise. I don't know what to do!? Do I kiss back?
He let go, looking defeated. That answered my question. I immediately kissed him back.

So this is love. Huh.
