Drabble. Headcannon: where everyone saw or treated Natsu as a monster when he first joined the guild.

"I don't care if ya a Monster or not. I've been called a Monster, plenty of times and I still am. But that doesn't mean I am one. And that doesn't mean ya are one, too, ya Idiot." Gajeel said.

Everyone looked towards the Iron Dragon Slayer in shock and surprise, but before anyone could say or do anything, Natsu suddenly tackled the older man into a tight hug around the waist.

It surprised them all, but it had surprised Gajeel, even more so. "What the hell are ya doing!?" He shouted and blushed, deeply. His red reptilian eyes widen in shock and from the utter embarrassment.

He felt awkward and embarrassed with showing the sudden affection in front of everyone. However, that had soon disappeared with the following words.

It instantly, broke his heart.

"THANK YOU!" The younger pink haired boy, cried and shouted into his large chest.

"NO ONE HAS EVER SAID THAT BEFORE AND WITHOUT BEING AFRAID OF ME, AT THE VERY BEGINNING! WAHHH!!!" The boy wailed. Clinging onto the older man's middle, as if Gajeel was his life line.

The older raven haired man, looked down at the pink haired boy, in shock and surprise at the sudden confession.

He quickly looked around the guild in disbelief and shock; only to see the shock, guilt, and shame in everyone's eyes.

Besides the new members, of course; who also looked around the guild in utter shock and disbelief. And also, with some tears into their eyes.

He glared at all of the older members, and they all instantly looked away from his furious eyes.

They all knew how wrong it was to say such cruel things, and how personal the scene was; so they all looked away.

Finding out these emotions, Gajeel suddenly returned the hug onto the younger boy's trembling body.

He wrapped his strong arms around the younger's slim shoulders, and whispered towards the younger's ear. "Ya welcome, Natsu."
