this is gonna be a short chapter sooo i'm sorry about that! kay onto the chapter!

Lorena sat on her bed just staring at the egg for a good hour or so. That is, until she heard a rough knock on her door. She quickly stuffed the egg under her blankets and rushed over to the door. She looked back making sure that the egg is out of sight. She let out a quick breath and opened the door.

"Hunny. I just wanted to let you know that your father and I thought that it would be very beneficial if you-" her mother started before the princess cut her off. "No mother. I'm not going to some stupid execution just because you are scared of dragons!"

The queen was furious. She quickly slapped her daughter before saying, "You will do as I say!" Lorena puts her hand up to her cheek and holds it. She gives her mom a death glare before slightly rubbing her now stinging cheek. "You will go to the execution tomorrow. You will wear a dress. You will wear your crown. And you will listen to me." her mom states before walking off.

"That bitch!" she exclaims once she closes her bedroom door. She walks over to her bathroom and grabs a towel. She wets it and puts it up to her cheek. She then walks over towards the egg again. Lorena picks it up and sets it at her desk. She pulls out a book labelled, 'The history of Dragons and what to know about them.'

She flips through some pages looking for a certain section. Once the dark haired girl reaches the page she was looking for, she quickly read it to herself.

How to care for dragon eggs.

Depending on the egg, there are different needs. Below are different steps for different dragon types and species.

She glances at the different egg pictures trying to find one that looks most like the egg. Once she found it, she continued reading.

A lightning egg will need different care then a water one for example. The lightning one requires to be kept in a warm space while trying to grow in the egg. The brighter the glow of the egg, the better. You don't want the egg to loose it's glow. If your egg does loose it's glow, contact your nearest dragon doctor. Once the egg hatches, turn to pg. 187. There you will learn how to take care of your new dragon hatchling.

She instantly started rushing to get the needed things to as properly as possible, take care of the egg. At least until she can find someone to take care of the dragon. Maybe.

She was so busy getting the supplies, she didn't even notice her friend at the door staring, jaw dropped at the egg.

"Lorena. Is that a dragon egg?"
