Natsu's POV

I was so happy right now. My mate just gave me a chance. And called me adorable. But she said that I'll have to try extra hard. Right now she's asleep in my lap. It was kinda dark out so I decided to go to bed.

Still Natsu's POV

I woke up at sunrise. Crazy huh. I wanted to sleep more but changing from prince to king is hard. I had SOOOOOOO much stuff to do. Fill in papers, approve constitutions, check in with the magic council, answer fan mail etc. A King's work is never done. I had breakfast. Which was a smoothie because you know, I was busy. (We get it Natsu you're a busy person now stop with the list of chores 🙄)

At about midday, I had a lunch. It was a sandwich because (lemme guess... you were busy?) I was busy. (Called it) After lunch, I went to go see my princess. She was still asleep when I got there. Then, I had a brilliant idea. I wanted to see how she would react if she saw 'Ignatius' again. So I changed into dragon form and sat at the edge of the bedroom where I sat last time. I then watched her peaceful figure as she slept.

After a few minutes, she stirred and started to wake up. She looked beside her and looked confused. Was she looking for me? She looked around the room and her eyes landed on me. Her eyes lit up. "IGNATIUS!!!!!!" she screamed. She ran over to me and hugged me so hard.

"I was so worried about you. Natsu told me what happened. Did the unicorns hurt you? Omg I'm so so so sorry that I was sleeping. I would've tried to save you." she looked at the floor guiltily. She's so cute. My heart skipped a beat knowing she was worried about me. Well 'Ignatius'. Kinda the same except she doesn't know it's me.

She then started searching for injuries. When she found none, she breathed out a sigh of relief. She started hugging me. Yassssssss. At least she's hugging me. Well Ignatius but it's the same thing. I wrapped my wings around her and heated them up. I wanted to take her to see Dad today but I can't change back in front of her. She'll be so embarrassed. Then she'll tell me off. Oh well. She's adorable either way. But I wanted to keep this game up for longer. She started to drift off. She was fighting though. So I increased the temperature even more. She finally drifted off and I put her in bed. I the changed back into human form and started waking her up. (What's the point of making her fall asleep if you're gonna wake her up again. Don't. Ever. Disturb. A. Girl. When. She's. Napping.)

She was stirring but didn't wanna wake up yet. She grabbed the closest thing in reach. Which would be my arm and started cuddling it. I chuckled. Maybe I should get her breakfast in bed. I pulled my arm away gently. She frowned a bit in her sleep. I took a pillow, warmed it up a bit and gave it to her. She smiled in her sleep and cuddled the pillow. I was jealous.( Seriously? 😒) I wanted her to cuddle me. *pouty face* I was watching her cuddle the pillow and I got jealous to a point where I wanted to shred the pillow. I took the pillow gently out of her arms and slipped into bed. She turned around to face me and in an instant, her arms were around me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she snuggled into my chest. I was so happy right now. Her smile was so wide. Even wider than when she had that pillow. That makes me proud. I don't know why but it does.

2 hours later
Still Natsu's POV

I woke up in the best position ever. First off, my mate was beside me. Second, her hands were fisted while they rested on my chest. Her head was resting on one of my arms while the other one was around her waist protectively. I was so glad that I could protect her even in my sleep. (Okayyyyyyyyyyyy 🤨)

She started waking up. "Did the sleeping beauty finally decide to wake up?" I asked. She nodded before realizing who she was talking to. She looked at the position we were in and blushed. She turned around and buried her head in the pillow, probably hoping I wouldn't see. I chuckled and shifted her position so she was facing me and she looked up at me, probably confused. She noticed our position again and tried to turn around to hide her blush but I held her securely in place. Seeing no way out, she buried her head in my chest. Once she realized was she was doing, she blushed more and buried her head deeper in my chest.

Her head suddenly snapped up to look at me and her eyes widened while there was a big smile on her face. She looked like a kid on Christmas. She sat up in bed suddenly. I followed her actions and did the same. "Natsu look. Ignatius is back." she said pointing to the corner where 'Ignatius' was. Her eyes held confusion. She looked at me expectantly. "Ignatius went to the dragon spa. He needed a good scrub when he got back from the unicorns." I answered. She nodded in understanding.

"So is cuddling me to death a habit now?" I asked her with amused and mischievous glint in my eyes. "Sh-Shut up" she stuttered while blushing furiously. "I want you to meet my dad today. Right after breakfast that is. I'll go get us strawberry pancakes." I said. As soon as I mentioned strawberry pancakes, her eyes lit up. "With Nutella" she said. "With Nutella" I repeated. She smiled and nodded in approval.

I went to the kitchen and grabbed a tray of strawberry pancakes with Nutella. When I entered the room, she looked confused. Probably because I used my dragon speed to get them so to her, I was only gone a second. "It's dragon speed" I said. She nodded and tucked into the pancakes. I smiled at her.

When she was done, I told her that the maids left a dress for her in the bathroom so she should go and do her routine. I also told her that I would send a maid to help her. She nodded and I called Alexa. I explained to Lucy that she was my personal assistant/maid but I was assigning Alexa to her now. I also told her that she was like my little sister. She smiled widely at that. Alexa then pushed me out of my room. Why is everyone pushing me out of my room these days? "It's for you're own good. She'll look prettier than she already is when I'm done so no peeking" Alexa told me. I nodded.

After 1 hour, yes one hour, how long do girls need to get ready? Oh well as I was saying, after one hour, I was finally allowed back in my room. Alexa was not joking. Lucy looked stunning.

Alexa left and I took Lucy to Igneel. I knocked before entering. We went in after permitted to. "Hi dad. This is Lucy. Lucy, this is dad." I introduced. "Hello" Lucy said shyly. "So you're the beauty that my idiot son has chosen? Well I'm happy for him because you have a good heart" Dad said. "Thank you" Lucy said shyly. "There's something oddly familiar about you though. Are you by any chance Layla Heartfilia's daughter, Lucy?" he asked. "Lucy's eyes widened. "Yes I am. So that must mean...... you're that Igneel." she said. "Yes I am. How have you been child? I know it was hard after you're mom passed away. I knew that you're father had some obsession with his work. Poor you. I'm glad you chose to run away" he said. "I know. I was way happier in Fairytail. They treated me like family. Always protected me" said Lucy. "Ummmmmm did I miss something?" I asked.

Sorry it's a cliffhanger but I'll try to update. I'm having exams in like 4 weeks and I NEED to study. I have strict parents 😔. I hope that's ok. Peace peeps! ✌🏻😊
