Rey a beautiful young woman was running through a forest engulfed in snow escaping men who are trying to capture her. It was deep into the winter months and the air around her was cold but a fire inside her was fueling her ability to run. The men whom were after her were terrible people, Human traffickers were no rarity to the area she came from, she was surprised she lasted there as long as she did but now she needed to run.

She was running for a while when she realized she had heard no one for a while and decided to slow her pace. She couldn't return back to the town, only doom awaited her there but she never knew anywhere else and didn't know where anything was. Rey sauntered through the snow for a longer time until she came to raised land, she looked up at the mountain looming over her. Just a bit up the mountain she saw a cave and decided that that was the best place for her at least at the moment. As she was climbing she sensed the air around her get colder and the snow started falling heavier. "God! If things couldn't get worse!" she exclaimed cursing into the air. 

Finally she saw the caves mouth come into view again just as the weather was getting even worse, she might be in the cave for a while but it was better than dying in the snow. She reached the mouth of the cave after climbing about five minutes more. Rey was exhausted but before throwing herself on the ground she had to take a quick look around the cave to make sure she was safe. The cave looked like it went on for a bit but there didn't seem to be any eminent threats Just big rock formations and maybe in the distant she could hear water flowing. 

She decided rest was more important to her at the moment and she would think about water later. Rey walked just the little bit back to the opening of the cave to take one last check of the weather conditions then went back a bit into the cave to escape the cold and rested against the caves wall.  It definitely wasn't the most comfortable spot but definitely better than some of the places she had slept and better than out in the cold. 

She slept well enough for sleeping on cold hard ground and was in a deep dream when she heard an unfamiliar voice seep into her head, the voice was deep and rough as loud as thunder but as soft as a whisper. "Little one, So pained by life... Why are you here?"

"I... Ran Away..." Her inner voice said to the Piercing voice. "I was being chased."

"People are Evil." Rey then started to wake up from a chill but the voice inside her told her to rest. "Sleep Its easier to talk to you like this." And the chill that was engulfing her slowly dissipated to warmth.

"Are you Real? Is death overtaking me?"

"No little one. And yes I am real I'm here to help you but for now you need sleep, I can sense it. Wake up when your rested then we'll talk." There was no face to put the voice to because it was all in her head but a shaded figure flashed by of something large and almost monsterish shifting into a man. Deciding that she would just do as the voice said and she fell into a deep sleep again. 

She had a dream of a young boy In a beautiful looking home but then was ripped away from it and thrown to live alone being 'Exiled'? Why would anyone do that? The boy was brought to tears but was then helped by a wise looking old man with a beard and blue eyes. "Here Kid. Let me help you." The older man said while offering his hand to the young boy. She then saw bits of the young boy being trained by the older man.

After a long rest in seeing images of a young boy that then turned into a handsome young man she woke up feeling better rested than she had in a long time. Where she used to live there was no way she could get that deep of sleep with the type of people that were in the area much less her having nightmares kept her up. This time her sleep was peaceful, warm, and there were no bad dreams. 

As her eyes were still adjusting she remembered the voice had said he was there with her but she could see nothing around her there were just large rock formations. "Hello? You said you were here?" She called out though there was no actual reason to think anyone would be there. 

"Yes I am here." The voice echoed through the cave but she couldn't figure out where it was actually coming from in the darkness of the cave. "Please dont be frightened."

"Ok?..." She had no Idea why she could be frightened but then she saw a light almost like a blade flicker on. What the heck was she seeing? The light then got brighter. She then saw what it was attached to. It looked like a large scaly tail. The large tail then moved up allowing its light to show to more of the room and that's when she saw the almost frightening sight. In front of her lying on the same cave floor as her was a dragon which she had apparently mistaken for a rock. She gasped. "What the heck are you?" 

"What do you think?" The voice called out but now she could see where it was coming from.

"A Dragon?" She questioned. "But dragons aren't real?" 

The dragon smirked "Ha! that's what you think. There have been many stories but you don't believe them?" 

"Well no? There's been no proof they were just stories." Rey shook her head. "Well never-mind! Whats your name?"

"My name Is Kylo Ren."

"Im Rey..." She offered her hand out as a common response but then the dragon gave a slight laugh at her then she realized how ridiculous she looked offering a hand to a dragon who's talon itself was as long as her forearm.  "Eh Sorry! I must look dumb right now."

"No your not dumb. I can tell that just like me you don't interact with that many people. I guess you can say you and I are very similar."

"How would you know?" She took her hand into her other and brought it to her chest.

"I can sense things, Your and my brains bridged within the night. I also saw a bit of your memories more then just talking to you and sensing your emotions." 

"Oh..."

"You more then likely saw some of mine as well." 

"I saw a boy with an older man , but your a dragon."

"Foolish girl." He chuckled with a deep rumble vibrating through the ground. "You think I was always this way?" 

"Yes?" She shyly answered. 

"I didn't always look this monstrous." He let his head rest back on the ground looking like a large dog. 

"so... Were you the young boy?" 

"Yes. I was abandoned and thrown out." Tears cane into her eyes and she wept for what he had gone through as well as what she herself experienced. She then shifted to get up and Kylo raised his head again to see what she was doing. She was nearing him with tears in her eyes. She wrapped her hands around as much of him as she could.

"Thank you Little Rey." He curled his tail around almost to embrace her back. She then collapsed back down. "Are you okay?" He then nudged her with his large head making sure to be careful. 

she let out a whimper. He had to change, even though he didn't like to he wasn't going to carry her in his mouth and in her state he definitely wasn't going to be able to carry her without injuring her. Sacrifices had to be made, He liked this human she was one of the only humans who wasn't frightened by his battle wounded monstrous figure. This sacrifice was his comfortableness, He changed forms looking at his figure he remembered that even in this form men were terrified of him This was also the body that his parents had hated so much to throw him away. 

He picked up Rey gently into his arms and headed off to the natural hot spring deeper into the cave. She was burning up, A cold she needed warmth and water in her system, also food would be important but it would be difficult to find anything in the weather outside. it was to cold for vegetation and most animals were hiding. He placed her down beside the hot spring taking a quick look at her form she realized he was going to have to strip her. Kylo has lived many years but most of those years he was isolated never in contact with humans.

He could get past this! He didn't need to keep her in slightly damp clothes that she slept in since the previous night. He then stripped off her layers of clothes which wasn't much but decided he would leave her in her underwear not wanting to go to far. He just kept in mind that it was important in order to keep her alive, he still couldn't help from feeling like a creep. he shook his head from his thoughts and picked back up her form and moved towards the water more and lowered her in. After she was inside the water her eyes opened a bit but not enough to see him. "Ill be back I need to get you something to eat, I could do with some food as well. Don't drown." 

He then went of to go outside the cave, he looked to which way he could go to find food. The air was cold but he needed to find something quickly. He then set off after he allowed his wings to unfurl from his body. It was way easier to fly then to walk and much faster. He found some winter fruits and other winter vegetation then found a small rabbit to cook up as well as some wood for fire. 

He arrived later back at the cave with the items and walked back to the Spring. He dropped off the stuff and checked on her before getting stuff set up making sure she didn't drown. Thankfully she hadn't but she still seemed out of it even though she was conscious. 

"hey Ill be making a fire. After i'm done feel free to join me here whenever." He didn't get a response but then started making the fire in able to cook up what he had found. 

He heard the water move and he looked up to see that Rey was getting out. "Your clothes are over here, hope you don't mind but I had to remove your clothes, but there dry now." he busied himself not looking at her as she put back on her clothes. 

"Its fine... thank you Kylo." She took a seat near to where he was sitting. 

"Its no problem really, I didn't want anything bad happening especially if I could help."

"If you can still change into a human why didn't you say earlier? Or change earlier?" 

"Im not the most comfortable in this form. I feel weak, and..."

"And what?"

"It reminds me of the boy my parents threw away, They were terrified of me and what I was." He shook his head wanting to drop the subject. Rey just put her hand on his leg.

"If it makes any difference I much prefer this form better." She tried looking into his eyes but he turned away. "Your still human..."

"If that's what you want to call it... Rey I... Im not going to hide this but I've killed people in this form, other men were terrified of me, Im a monster."

"In this time hasn't any man? War is all around."

"No not just out of war Rey I've killed out of hatred, pure hatred not just war. I hated the side that my dad was on so I traded out for the other side becoming an enemy to my father, Rey I killed my dad for what he had done when I was young." 

Rey didn't want to contemplate on it especially while she has hungry and sick. "I guess I can understand Why you would do such a thing." She didn't move her hand from his leg but instead slightly patted his leg. They then went about the rest of their time eating.

Kylo stood up, "Do you want me to change back?" 

"No, I prefer seeing you as a human, I don't mind you as a dragon but I feel more connected to you like this and you don't seen as... animal-ish. I feel freer to talk to you." She gave a light smile to the MAN in front of her, yes he was still a man tormented by his past and wounded by many battles it seemed. She then snuggled up where she was not to close to the fire but close enough to have its heat. "Would you mind sleeping her? I think it would be best."

Kylo shuffled over to her. "I guess..." She lifted up her head and he sat back down and she laid her head down on his lap. This woman really didn't care about his past she could sense who he was from their minds being linked.

"Thank you again Kylo, I would have died if it weren't for you." She turned to look up at his face and she cupped it. Kylo flinched feeling the burning heat of her touch against his skin. He hadn't had this kind of contact in a long time, maybe even never. This woman could drive him mad and he'd still be grounded by her. 

Rey traced his scar with her eyes then with her hand. "Your so alone... Your not alone."

"Neither are you." He gave her a small smile cherishing this moment for even if she were to leave he would never forget her.
