Few days later Diluc was at the tavern cleaning glasses at the counter and was starring at Kaeya who was sitting at a table starring at his drink lost in thought and thinking about something while smiling a little.

Then Lisa and Jean walked in and asked seeing Diluc look confused.

Jean : what's wrong?"

Diluc : look at him. He's been like that for an hour"

They both  looked at him and we're confused until Lisa started smiling finding the situation funny.

Lisa : I know that look. He's obviously in love"

Diluc : well that's surprising"

Jean : his mind has been occupied recently"

Diluc : I wonder who it i-

Klee : I know!"

Klee said showing up and climbing on to a stool.

Klee : Big brother Kaeya has a crush on our new friend from Fontaine!"

Jean : really?"

Lisa : oh? I don't blame him"

Diluc : who?"

Klee : Mr Neuvillette!"

Diluc suddenly dropped a glass with it shattering on the floor.

Diluc : what!?"

Klee : he has been showing him around Mondstadt. He's even staying at big brother Kaeya's house"

Diluc : w....you gotta be kidding me...."

Lisa : I think it's cute I have never seen Kaeya this flustered about someone"

Diluc : .........."

Suddenly Neuvillette walked in and Klee said smiling.

Klee : Mr Neuvillette! ThIs is Master Diluc. Kaeya's big brother!"

Neuvillette : Oh nice to meet you."

Diluc : ......"

Lisa : if you're looking for Kaeya he's over there"

Neuvillette : thank you"

After this Neuvillette walked away and Diluc just stared at him. Not really liking this at all.

Diluc  : Kaeya is an idiot. Letting someone he barely knows stay with him"

Jean : in all fairness he's the chief Justice of Fontaine. H-

Lisa : don't you see. Diluc is worried about Kaeya. How sweet"

Diluc: no I just need to keep him from being stupid"

Klee : he's super nice. Talk to him"

Diluc : ........"

As Kaeya was talking with Neuvillette he couldn't help but his mind wander until Diluc walked over and asked.

Diluc : what are you doing"

Kaeya : just taking to our new friend h-

Diluc : I've heard"

Neuvillette : is something wrong?"

Diluc : just wanted to check on things....."

Kaeya then said teasingly.

Kaeya : are you worried he'll arrest you dear brother?"

Diluc : shut up"

Neuvillette : ......it seems like everyone in Mondstadt has a secret that involves breaking the law in some way?"

Kaeya : ...... we're completely i-

As Kaeya was going to play it off as a joke Diluc then said clearly not joking and sounding like he was giving attitude.

Diluc : even so it's not in your jurisdiction so it's not really your problem. So don't try it here"

After this he walked away and and Neuvillette seemed confused at Diluc's suddenly attitude towards him.

Kaeya : he always acts like that at least he spoke to you that's g-

Suddenly it starts raining outside with it being sunny only moments ago. And Kaeya knew what that meant.

Kaeya : join the club you wouldn't be the first one he has upset in one sentence"

Neuvillette : has he had a bad event with authority?"

Kaeya : .......you could say that.......but it's all good really."

Neuvillette : I see......"

Kaeya : now I was wondering if you are busy later?"

Neuvillette : I'm free"

Kaeya : would you mind walking with me on my patrol tonight?"

Neuvillette : I shall join you if that's what you want"

Kaeya : good."

Later in the night during Kaeya's patrol Neuvillette asked as they we're walking around Mondstadt.

Neuvillette : what makes you have to patrol late?"

Kaeya. : nothing too serious. Treasure hoarders hilichurls occasional abyss creature or fatui causing problems. Honestly I don't need to but I've been slacking so this is punishment for me"

Neuvillette : I see ......the view of Mondstadt is quite something. Very different from Fontaine"

Kaeya then looked around as they continue walking. He wasn't sure what to do or what to really talk about. He just felt so different around Neuvillette that made him nervous to speak.

But eventually Kaeya decided to make conversation and talk about something.

Kaeya : you know my mother always said water holds memories"

Neuvillette : that is true"

Kaeya : funny thing is I was a kid when she told me that so I was convinced I was drinking dead people"

Neuvillette : I... that's an interesting way to think about water?"

Kaeya : she worked on telling me it wasn't't. But then Diluc told me otherwise and I started crying and wouldn't drink water for two days. Even started apologizing to it"

Neuvillette couldn't help but crack a smile finding Kaeya's story amusing. And kinda also smiled and said teasingly.

Kaeya : looks like I accomplished making the big dragon smile. I say that's quite an accomplishment"

Neuvillette turned his head away not sure how to take that compliment from Kaeya.

Meanwhile from the bushes Klee and Rosaria were watching them. Then suddenly Diluc walked over.

Diluc : what are you doing?. And Klee it's pass your bedtime"

Klee : we're watching big brother Kaeya with Mr Neuvillette. I think their flirting"

Rosaria : this is painful to watch. He needs help"

Diluc : No let Kaeya fail on. His own"

Rosaria : a-

Suddenly Kaeya tripped falling on his face.

Rosaria : ......"

Klee : Master Diluc you jinxed him!"

Diluc : oh he's fine. Not like there's anything left to r...... he's fine"

Rosaria : Neuvillette is pretty. Not surprising he was distracted"

Klee : he looks like a mermaid!"

Diluc : ew"
