Second Also: This story DOES have a different ending than the show. The plot is similar, as in Cersei is on the throne by season 8, we have to defeat the NK, Jon is really Aegon, etc. but the end of this story is very different. I did create my own plot line for this.

THIS IS FANFICTION. I do not own anything in this world. While I do create a few Original Characters (OCs), they are still inspired from the Game of Thrones world which is written by George R. R. Martin and currently produced by HBO.

SECOND DISCLAIMER: This is not just a Sandor x OC story. I also really, really wanted to explore some other characters in this fanfiction, some more lore, to create an ending I wanted to see, and to use things that the show completely scrapped, like Azhor Ahai. (no, my OC Lana will NOT be Azhor Ahai). Think a story that is an even Fantasy/Romance split. (If you know anything about my original stories, you know I go pretty hardcore with both 😉 ) I really wanted to tell an actual story here, and no just a romance. Plus, the Sandor x OC is very in character, which means a slowburn. Can't have a slowburn without a story to support it...so buckle in. It will be fun!

THIRD DISCLAIMER: I struggled to find a beta reader for this. That being said, I apologize for any errors, inconsistencies, etc. But do feel free to point them out! I always learn from that. This is all straight from me, and has had no critical feedback. That being said, I can't count how may times I have edited this. What that being said, please, point out any issues!!!!

Lol could you imagine if that happened? That'd be some awesome trolling. It's nearly as bad as Bran being on the throne. ALTHOUGH, now wait a minute, that would make that Sandor is king if she won it...I don't know. That'd be pretty fucking hilarious...Anyway, figured I'd mention it here. I know fanfiction sometimes runs crazy like a wild fire explosion, so I wanted to make sure you are aware that this is not a Mary Sue thing. Lana Storm has a purpose, and it is discussed below.

Slight plug about the romance for those concerned/curious: This romance is a slowburn one. Sandor's romance won't be out of character either. I don't like OOC, especially with someone like the Hound. I like him because he is such an ass that it eventually becomes funny, and then he became my favorite once we learn that he is not a monster and actually has a heart (Him chasing after Arya through the fire in the battle for winterfell? He really does care 😭)

Her last name is Storm, but she is a Targaryen Bastard...what?: I did some research on the lore, and often, the last name for the bastard was where someone was raised. So, I thought that the person who ended up raising Lana gave her the bastard name Storm, as Waters would have been too obvious, and Lana's mother came from the Stormlands. I promise I try to make as many decisions that make as much sense as possible!

Why not pick a Cannon Character? I didn't want to pair Clegane with any other Cannon characters, as I didn't want his romance with other characters to ruin their arcs. I really love how he fits in the world right now in relation to everyone, and I think that giving him a new character would work best. Also, the scenes with Sandor and Stark girls will all remain, as I love their relationship with him, and Lana doesn't replace them. The wolves need their hound, too.

Okay, but why is she a Targeryen bastard, who is also an assassin? Sounds a bit Mary Sue: I wanted Sandor to have more than a kitchen wench. He is a romantic at heart, at least a little bit, I genuinely think. He can only be so jaded by the reality of knights and ladies if he didn't, at some point, fantasize about it. I didn't want my OC to be a Stark because that has been done in so many fanfics, and their house doesn't need anymore characters, as I like their dynamics with each other now. Didn't want to make a Lannister for the same reason. I thought about other houses, but realized that Lana could also be used as a plot device for Dany, and once on that thought, I realized I like the pairing and a Hound and a Dragon 🤗 Lana is also an assassin because 1. She had to do something to survive. It fit her personality the best. (I wasn't above making her something else, and even did for a while, but then I came up with the Crimson Company and really liked how she fit there) 2. It was a good way to explain why she is able to take care of herself when needed 3. It gives her and Clegane something to bond over. You know, stabby stab. Kill all the cunts. You get it. I wanted someone to appreciates his cold, murderous ways 💙

ALSO: No SanSan ships here (Sandor x Sansa). I appreciate that people ship them, but to me, that's just not what they are. People can love for so many different reasons, especially in a world like this, and I am pretty sure that he cares for her like an uncle or guardian. Or, she is just his little bird, like the girly daughter he never had. Even if they were somehow a couple, they are that couple that just got together because they are dysfunctional enough that it somehow works. To me, that's not fun to write about. If you can only tolerate that pairing, well then, there is a TON of SanSan fanfic out there already!! So go enjoy, sweet summer child.

This is a slowburn story: But the tension is pretty immediate, and very real. There's just no way Clegane is going to come out firing off cupid's arrows, and even then, he'd take a while to accept his affection for anyone. Especially romantic affection. Took him forever to even look Arya in the eye with some emotion. Which also means that when he shows a tenderness, it needs to be infrequent, as it only means something that way. He is also a guy that shows his love through actions, not poetry. He will also make a few mistakes with it from time to time, but this Clegane we are talking about, not a bleeding poet😂 Hence, why it is considered a slowburn. But don't worry! The story is finished, and there are frequent updates. So you won't be waiting for too long ;)

PEOPLE WILL DIE: I am not writing a fanfiction to make it so no one dies at all. There will also be characters that died, that will live. I won't say anything as that's half the fun 🤪

WARNING: There will be cussing. Abso-fucking-lutely. It's Clegane, guys. I know some readers can't stand it, but I am not withholding from it. GoT universe is pretty crass, and the rough language is a part of that world. Trying to write Sandor with a mouth that has been cleaned out by soap just feels like I neutered him. It's not right without it. If it's not your thing, then sorry. Like I said, I don't like OOC.

SECOND WARNING: I don't do Trigger Warnings in the chapters. It ruins something for the story, in my opinion. That being said, this is Game of Thrones fanfic, and nothing happens in here that's darker than the show. I will say there is no explicit description of anything other than sexual scenes, and some fight scenes (those are minimal). Again, if you can make it through the show, you can make it through this story. That being said, I cannot help if a few scenes surprise you.

Other relevant, but not super relevant, information:

- Lana is an assassin. An actual one too, not just says she is and it never impacts her character, or suddenly can't kill anyone. She will have very gray morals, but they definitely err on the side of good. But she is a bit heartless at times, as one would need to be in her shoes.

-There will be smut later. There will be violence. It's not rated M for nothing.

-This story pulls mostly from the show, with a lot of backstory/world-building from the books.
