10: The Teaser
^^ Tamra and Arthur and Rachel ^^
--- Raymond ---
I checked my watch again, grumbling, and Amira chuckled. "It's only 7:05, they're not that late."
I grumbled again, and then blinked when a vibrantly red Lamborghini whipped up into the driveway.
Mama leapt out of the drivers seat and laughed. "Sorry we're late, my son, this new toy is very fun!" She darted over and hugged me, and I smiled, squeezing.
"Good to see you, mama." I nodded.
Papa climbed out much slower, as I sat on mama's shoulder, and shook himself. "Odd contraption... I preferred the plane." He rumbled, and stumbled over, still awkward without a tail or four feet, and spotted me.
He grinned and spread his arms, and I launched myself at him, tackling him to the concrete driveway. We playfully wrestled for a few minutes, and eventually I pinned him, though I was suspicious that he allowed me to do so.
We stood, dusting each other off, and then looked at Miss Lilly, who was staring, completely horrified, at the mess we'd made of the now-gravel driveway.
I giggled softly. "That's miss Lilly, my Escort. She's very cuddly, and nice."
Mother hummed and grabbed the woman, her hands roaming her body. "Interesting... not much muscle, but a good amount of fat, and it creates a rather pleasing body... well, for a humans... I think I like this human. I am Tamra Aurelius, dear, good to meet you. You may live." She kissed miss Lilly's cheek sweetly.
"Uhm... thanks? I'm Lilly Dourest." She introduced herself, collecting herself from the highly personal inspection.
Mother nodded and then grabbed Amira swiftly, hugging her like a vise, while Amira sighed and returned it. "AND MY DARLING DAUGHTER!!! Oh how I've missed you..." she kissed her cheeks and then released her, looking at Mary, who gulped at her intense silver and golden gaze, fluctuating according to her mood.
"H-hello! I'm Mary Avian,-" she began.
She was interrupted by mama hugging her, spinning gently. "And such an adorable Mate!!! Where will my Grand-babies be coming from? Your womb, giantess, or my daughter's?" She asked directly.
Mary blushed. "W-well, we-we're still discussing... that..." she mumbled.
"Mm. I see. Amira! Impregnate your wife, please. I can wait no longer." She crossed her arms.
"Maximus Impregnated his mate already, so-" I began, and she whirled around faster than the humans could see, darting towards me.
She picked me up happily, and spun. "Really?!?!? Really truly?!?!?" She asked.
I nodded. "I haven't met her, but I've smelled her on Amira. They all work together at the NTF."
She hummed and set me down. "Good! I can't wait! Is she human or Dragon?"
"Dragonborn, first generation. I think she's able to shift a little, but not fully. Class-S." Amira nodded.
Mama stilled, and the air dropped fifty degrees instantly, causing the ground to crack and crystallize into a wavy, icy tundra-like look. The gravel in the driveway crackled and shook as storm-clouds gathered over mama's head, like always when she was angry at us. Then she softly asked us, silver eyes blazing. "My son mated a Dragonborn?"
Amira shrugged, unthreatened. "Yes. She's very beautiful, she'll make a good Mate for him."
Mother growled softly. "We will see..."
"Lover, leave him to his devices, you've no say in his matings." Papa sighed and kissed his mate, his hands inside her pants and squeezing her rump affectionately, making her purr, while miss Lilly covered my eyes needlessly. The air returned to its rightful temperature as mother was made very happy by my father.
Mama sighed eventually. "Fine. But I'm meeting her. And her Dragon Sire had better be a royal!" She snapped, despite still purring from his hands kneading her skin.
He snorted gently. "We're not so common that a random Dragonborn would be born from us, Mate... Now, we have a school to conquer!" He grinned.
I nodded and pulled Miss Lilly towards the car she'd driven. She sighed softly. "Your parents are... calmer than I imagined, which is nice. But very... affectionate."
"Oh this is nothing. Wait until they figure out Human Mating." I sighed.
She smiled a little and opened the passenger door, letting me climb in and buckle up, then going around to the driver's side.
Mary and Amira climbed into the back, while my parents got back into their slick machine. We started driving towards the school, and I braced myself mentally.
---
Mama stared at the school for a moment, examining and memorizing every feature and flaw, as well as the people, who flinched under her scrutiny.
She hummed suddenly. "I smell you here, Ray... on some of these people."
"Yes." I nodded.
She grinned and walked forward swiftly, parting the crowd like the Red Sea, until she was face-to-face (or rather Face-to-Stomach) with a small halfling, an Elf-Human, who recognized her scent immediately.
She calmly tackled the woman, giggling. "He~ey There... Rachel darling I thought I'd never see you again..." She nudged her way between the smaller woman's thighs, and I sighed, while Papa just grinned, pouring himself a drink and watching closely, partly because he liked what he saw, and partly to make sure his mate was safe.
"Oh! Tamra? Darling it's been how many years? You should meet my Mate, he's around somewhere." The woman said calmly, unfazed by my mother's blatant sexual intentions.
Mother hummed. "I see... you're here... you've a child?"
"Two, actually. My daughters are around somewhere, but you keep your hands to yourself, darling." She chided mama gently, and poked her nose.
Mama chuckled and stood, throwing the woman over her shoulder. "Come, my lovely halfling, I want to meet your mate and spawn." She said simply.
The small woman smiled, and wiggled until she sat on mama's shoulder, instead of hanging over it. "Hello, Arthur. Nice to see you." She sighed.
He chuckled. "Rachel. Been... 14 years?"
"Yes, 14. Buenos Aires. My children should be nearby... and this is your child?" She looked at me.
I nodded. "I am Raymond Regales Aurelius, Mrs. Flora. Nice to meet you. I'm friends with Daisy, so I had to meet you eventually." I grinned easily.
She smiled wider. "So you're the Drakon boy she's been talking about non-stop... interesting. Almost fate, Tamra, eh?" She pet mama's hair gently.
Mama turned and raised an eyebrow at me. "A Halfling?"
"Dryad, actually. Her father is an Ent." I shrugged.
She blinked and hummed, nodding, just as Daisy found her way to us, pulling an older girl, also a Dryad. I waved, and she smiled widely, pulling the girl towards me, totally missing her mother, all the way up on my mama's shoulder.
"Raymond! This is Rose, my sister, she came all the way from Alaska with my papa to attend!" She grinned.
I nodded. "Greetings, Rose Flora. I am Raymond Regales Aurelius. My mother and father are standing next to and behind us. Arthur Magnus Aurelius, Drakon King of the Turkish Drakon Clan, my papa, and mama, Tamra Falga Aurelius, Princess of the Persian Drakon Clan. Also, Your mother knows my parents, it would seem."
Father nodded respectfully, and Daisy's sister stared for a moment, but when I moved, she turned into a tree.
I sighed. "Again? I go through this twice?"
She slowly turned back, and Mrs. Flora chuckled. "Easy, girl. They're the nicest Drakons on the planet. Been my... friends since I was Daisy's age."
A giant of a man, nearly the same height as Maximus, slowly walked into the little circle we'd made, and nodded just as slowly, while staring at me. "Arthurson. Greetings... Arthur, Tamra, salutations... Wife?" He held out a hand with the lack of speed that was part of an Ent's profile.
She hopped off of Mama's shoulder, and into his hand, scampering swiftly up to his shoulder, where she hugged his neck lovingly. "Tamra! This is my Diamedes!"
Mama hummed, and nodded. "He is very large... but he is an Ent, this makes sense... how did you Mate?" She asked simply.
Daisy covered her ears, and her sister sighed, plugging her own, and Mrs. Flora began explaining, with vibrant and eloquent language, how she had been rutted by the Ent while in the forest, essentially taken against a tree, by a tree, (Dimensions were described, which seemed simply horrifying... Ent's were 30ft tall at the least, and their bodies were proportionate,) and then fell in love.
"The second time, of course, was in these human forms, and just as satisfying-"
"Okay that's very much enough!" Miss Lilly growled, surprisingly angry. "You are on a school campus! You must keep a civil tongue in your head!!! There are children here that are not yours, and you have no right to teach them these things!" She snapped.
Mrs. Flora hummed. "I see... my apologies, I didn't realize it was an issue."
"Well it is, and I expect everyone to maintain that that strain of conversation will take place when you leave here, not while you are guests of this academy." She sniffed, and looked away, her face still blazing red.
I hummed. "So Amira is she embarrassed or angry? I'm still learning this 'blush'."
"She's embarrassed, and trying to cover it by way of anger." Amira nodded, and then hugged Lilly, petting her hair. "Calm down, Earth Lumina are simply far more open about these things that most humans." She murmured.
"Earth? There's different types?" She blinked slowly.
"Sure. Elementally. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light, Dark. Raymond, Maximus, and Father are Water Lumina, and I am a Fire Lumina, while mother is Fire. The Fae are generally Earth Types, and an Ent most definitely." She shrugged.
She grumbled about complicated things, and then sighed. "Either way, my comment stands. Please keep your talk and actions civil!" She crossed her arms quickly for effect(though she was paling quickly from my mother's gaze,), making her chest bounce.
Mother hummed, then shrugged. "Ah well. We are guests, so I will curb my enthusiasm for now... now! I shall meet your educators, son! Lead on." She nodded at me.
I grinned and grabbed Daisy's hand, then Mama, and pulled them both over to Miss Garda, who was speaking to a few parents.
When she was done speaking, she noticed me, and smiled. "Raymond! Hello! And who's this?"
"This is my Mama, Tamra Falga Aurelius, and my Papa is-"
"Here." Papa hummed, and gripped the smaller woman's hand gently, so as not to harm her. "I am Arthur Magnus Aurelius, King of the Turkish Drakons, and Father to Raymond Regales, Amira Saurian, and Maximus Decius Aurelius... you are his tutor?"
She blinked. "No, I'm his Home-Room Teacher. I teach the basic laws of the Lumina Societies, so that my students are always prepared, whoever they should meet." She answered calmly.
He hummed softly. "Interesting... home-room, this word is foreign to me. And this one, 'Lumina', I've heard it many times."
"Lumina refers to all non-human entities, sir, and Home-Room is the first class of the day, where the children are allowed to take their true forms, and relax during my teaching, so as to be able to stay in human form the rest of the day." She nodded.
"I see... and you are a Fae?"
"I am a Garden Fairy, yes. Amelia Garda." She bowed gently.
Mother hummed. "You do not look like a fairy... glamour?" She asked simply, gently touching Ms. Garda's cheeks.
She blushed softly. "I-indeed. A glamour... and now I know why Raymond has such a problem with physical contact... please refrain from touching people you aren't close to... it's rather rude for most people, Lumina or Human." She gently chided mama.
She pulled her hand back slowly. "Hmm... I wasn't aware, accept my apology... high grade glamour, though... difficult to pierce."
Ms. Garda nodded. "All the Fae of the world were given better glamours, when we registered, by the Prince."
"Ahhhh, the Grey Lords. That makes sense now." Mama chuckled. "Tough bastards. Good for a rough fight." She nodded.
Amira hummed. "You've fought a Grey Lord?"
"Mm. The Raven Lord... she barely won. I was ten." Mama shrugged.
Ms. Garda seemed even more terrified now, if that was possible, but she was hiding it well, from anyone who didn't have a dragon nose.
"Mm, I remember that. Good day. Now, you said first class... that means there's several? He's taking several courses, not one?" Father pulled us back to the topic.
"Indeed, sir. Six, to be exact. My class, then Chemistry, Music, Neo-Physics, basic Algebra, and Culinary Arts. His other teachers are also here, of course." She nodded.
"Chemistry... Mathematics... Physical Sciences... my son, are you attempting to learn Alchemy? I know an Alchemist or two who could teach you." Papa asked me.
I chuckled. "I will learn on my own. This school offers much knowledge to me. I will enjoy five years of schooling here, and then moving on to a University." I nodded.
Ms. Garda smiled indulgently. "My dear, University happens after High School, not Elementary."
"I know. Maximus said that it was possible to skip grades, if one was intellectually gifted. I will do so, because I wish to have advanced knowledges, and this school is for children. And, while I am a child, I wish to be treated with the respect given to Axum the Warlock, one day." I said simply.
She blinked, confused, and Papa hummed. "Axum Melodious the Warlock... he is here?"
I nodded. "He works with Maximus as his Leader, but not the King. The King is still undisclosed, for security purposes. Maximus's Mate is the King's Attendant, or so I gather."
Mama hummed. "Not just a Dragonborn, then, but a Aid to a King... hmmm... I may accept that. She will attend the Ball." She commanded gently.
I nodded again. "I will make sure she does, if she's not still unable to walk." I chuckled.
She barked out laughter, joyous at the thought of Maximus making his Mate unable to walk, "I look forward to my grandchildren..." she hummed.
Ms. Garda chuckled softly. "I've got no clue what you're talking about, but yes, it's possible to skip grades, if you pass the Exams. Study well and hard, and maybe you will. I'm your homeroom teacher no matter what grade you're in, so I don't have to worry about that."
I nodded. "Good. Now, mama, papa, are you hungry?"
Mama hummed softly. "A little."
I grinned. "Good. Come on! Let's see Chef Monroe!"
I led them all over to the massive tables of food, and then to Chef Monroe, who was directing the last-minute preparation. "Hullo, Chef!" I called above the clanking of the outdoor kitchens.
He turned, and laughed. "Raymond! Hullo! And who've ye brought me, lad?"
"This is my mama and my papa and my sister, Arthur and Tamra Aurelius, and Amira Avian. And you know Daisy." I grinned.
He nodded. "That I do, hullo, dear. And greetings, sir, ma'am. I am Chef Monroe, Raymond's Culinary Arts teacher."
Papa nodded, while mama was distracted by the large slabs of meat nearby. I poked her, and she hummed. "Apologies, I was distracted by the food."
I nodded. "I figured. Anyway, Chef, is my meal ready for consumption?-I put them together last night." I turned to my family to answer their questionable looks.
"You cooked something, boy?" Papa hummed.
I nodded. "I cooked one of the main dishes for today, and if it is well-received, it will be the main dish of the Party, as well." I explained.
Mama blinked slowly, and then nodded. "I see. I'd like to taste it, then."
Monroe nodded and pulled a hot platter of my taquito's out of the warming oven, and set them in front of us on the table. I ripped one in half, and handed the two halves to Mama and Papa, then started chomping on one of my own.
When Daisy reached for one of the lettuce wraps, I tapped her hand gently. "It's a Pork wrap." I said softly.
She nodded. "Oh, yes, then nevermind!" She giggled.
"There's a vegan version over there, if you like." I pointed just next to us, where the other team had already presented their own offerings.
She and her sister quietly slipped over and took a few, returning to munch quietly.
Mama took a bit of the wrap warily, seeing the lettuce, and then hummed. "Pork... and... some type of soft vegetable? It is very nice... spicy and sweet... but why lettuce?" She asked me.
"For a crunch, without fried bread." I answered honestly.
Papa nodded and cleaned his hands easily on a napkin. "I approve... very tasty, though I'm a few strands short of a Gourmet, me and your mother both. From the uneducated standpoint, I think it's very tasty."
Miss Lilly, who had been mostly silent, quietly chewed on one of the Taquito's, and hummed. "It's very spicy, but the beans cut through that well enough to give it a kick, not a burn. Very nicely done, Raymond. You took more time with the beans this time, I can tell."
I nodded, grinning. "I did. Chef, do I get a better grade for these?"
He snorted. "No. Your original was an A-, and you only fixed it afterwards. The extra credit stands as it was." He said firmly.
Mama looked between us. "Your skills are brewing Ranked? Like Power?"
"Exactly. F- ->A+ is the system. An F is a Failure. It's very simple." I nodded easily.
She hummed. "I see... and you were ranked at an A-, which I'll assume is just under an A, at cooking?"
"For this assignment, yes."
She nodded slowly. "Interesting..."
Papa looked at the Chef. "And those?" He nodded at what Daisy and Rose were munching on still.
"The same grade. A-. They were for the Fae, as they're almost always Vegetarian." He shrugged.
Papa nodded. "I see... then I thank you for teaching my son, but there are more people we need to meet, I suppose. Six classes... hmm. What do you teach, Amira dear?"
"I'm not a teacher, Father. I am the Dean. The... second in command. I am in charge of Discipline amongst the students, to stop any territory disputes or other infractions, or punish them should they occur." She shrugged.
He blinked. "And your Chief?"
"A Demigod, the Son of Thoth." She answered easily.
He nodded. "Mm... a Demigod Chief... that is acceptable. I will approve. Now let us carry on, I believe there is much more to see here!" He grinned carelessly.
"Onward!" I cheered, laughing.
A sudden screech of metal over metal and concrete breaking halted my celebration.
