Elijah was in the shadows as he saw his traitor family up on the balcony. Abel was sitting on the throne, expressionless. The folks of the Kingdom had gathered to watch Arachne's hanging. Phalanx was one of them, looking worried.

Speaking of Arachne, she was escorted by two guards in the Royal Courtyard, soon to a platform where there was a noose. Once Arachne came into view, Elijah dashed into the courtyard without hesitation.

There were screams from the Kingdom folks who thought Prince Elijah Cybill was dead and Abel's expression visibly dropped. The first guard let go of Arachne to attack Elijah with his sword, but Elijah stabbed the needle into his wrist.

The guard dropped his sword out of shock, and Elijah plucked it up from the ground. Meanwhile, with the first guard away, Arachne made her attack on the second one. She kicked him in the privates and when he buckled, she punched him in the nose.

"Eli!" Arachne shouted, running over to him. Before he could react, she hugged him tightly, and when she released, she gestured to her bruised knuckles. "Punching people hurts."

"Want a sword instead?" Elijah offered.

"No thanks, I got a hell of a dagger instead," she said, grabbing a dagger from the injured guard.

"No killing innocent people, got it?"

"Elijah Cybill," came Father's voice. They spun around to see ex-King Viron, Queen Athena, and King Abel. There was disappointment woven into Father's expression. "You chose the wrong side to fight with."

Elijah shook his head. "No, you all chose the wrong side the moment you lied to my face about a false prophecy." With that, he ran forward and plunged the sword through Queen Athena's hand. She backed away, wailing in pain.

Arachne came forward, yanking on Athena's hand. She smudged her finger on her blood before licking it. "You v-vulgar beast of a spider!" Queen Athena yelled as Arachne dug her dagger into her neck.

"I have your cursing powers now, Athena." The queen gasped, falling back.

"Mother!" Abel cried as Elijah slashed ex-King Viron. Elijah slashed him again for good measure, but also for human pleasure. Viron stumbled forward, face-planting onto the ground.

The Kingdom folks cried out in fear, rushing away—they had lost their ex-king and queen. "Father! No, no!" He quickly grabbed Father's own sword.

Finally came Abel. Elijah and Arachne joined each other, staring at Abel. "You're not a bad man, Abe. You were just born into a bad situation." Elijah told his baby brother. "I know, you'll never forgive or forget this, but I will."

Arachne was skepctial. "Eli—"

"I told you, I love Abel without a doubt." Elijah stepped forward, dropping his sword on the grass, and coming closer to Abel. Abel twitched, trembling. "Abe, drop your sword too."

"Remember when we were kids? And we'd sneak out to the garden to pretend sword-fight with wooden swords?" Abel smiled. "Well, this gives a lot of déjà vu, except with real ones."

Before Elijah could think, Abel moved forward with his sword. Suddenly, Abel dropped to the ground, a spear in his back. Elijah and Arachne gasped loudly as they looked up to see who killed Abel.

"Brother!" Arachne cried out, running to hug him. "Oh, Phalanx, you're okay!"

Phalanx grimaced, looking at Elijah. "I'm sorry for killing your brother."

Elijah bent down, brushing Abel's hair out of his frame, void of any expression. He had hoped it wouldn't have come to this, but Abel was as stubborn as his younger siblings were. He was going to kill you, Elijah's logical side of his brain reasoned. But Abe was also your brother.

"Eli?" Arachne whispered. "E-Eli?"

"Abel's dead," he confirmed after checking his pulse. He sighed but slung his arm over Arachne's shoulder. What he came for, and what Arachne came for, was done. Now what? "We'll need a safe place to go."

"We can go to Father's," Phalanx suggested.

"But..." Arachne gestured to herself.

"As long as you come back with another generation of kids, you'll be good, Father has been dying for some younger life." Phalanx waved his hand in the air as Elijah choked. Isn't that a bit suggestive? "I heard Closter is a good boy's name."

"Phalanx!" Arachne was red in the face, turning to Elijah. "Well, do you want to go?" It was just a question, but it really did make Elijah wonder. After living a life full of lies and a false prophecy, Elijah Cybill was ready to live his truth with Arachne Idmon.

"Yeah, Spidey, let's go."

"How many times have I told you not to call me that, you fool?"

Elijah smiled.
