Jackie's POV

I woke up the next morning to see a note on my table. It's from Liam.

You should get ready and come downstairs because I have a whole day of fun planned for us.
Liam.

What does he mean by saying "a whole day of fun planned".

I hurriedly took my bath because I couldn't wait to know what Liam was planning.

We went to the mall and after almost playing all the arcade games, we went to get ice-cream.

After having a lot of fun at the mall, we proceeded to the park where we in a rollercoaster.

"I swear this has to be the best day of my life since my mum passed away. Thanks so much" I said smiling but not looking into his eyes.

The mood between us just started becoming romantic but was soon disrupted with the sound of Liam's phone ringing.

He picked up the the phone but as soon as the person from the other side of the phone said something, he was dumbstruck.

Who could be the person calling him that could make him go mute all of a sudden.

After few minutes, the call finally ended. He looked like someone with mixed emotion.
It was a bit of happiness and sadness.

Who could have called him?
His silence was now really bothering me.

We came down from the rollercoaster and had walked almost a mile in silence.

Without even thinking I just asked him who had called that made him look this way.

He kept on staring at me as if he afraid of telling me.

"This can't be something good" I thought.

Liam's POV

On the rollercoaster, I received a call from an unfamiliar number. As I picked the call, the voice was really familiar and that was when I noticed it was Andy's voice. I was so happy that she was alright.

She said that she'll be returning home in two days time.
I was happy that my Andy was coming back but sad that Jackie will be leaving real soon.

I had just started liking and getting attached Jackie. I don't know how to tell her that l like her or how to tell her that Andy was coming back.

She would have to go back to her step mum and sister. Just when she thought everything was going fine for her, I can't send her back there. I can't watch her getting hurt again and again.

I want my sister back and I also want Jackie with me. What can I do? How do I tell her.

I had walked for a while thinking of what to do without even knowing that Jackie has been starring at me all this while.

Realization dawned upon me when I heard Jackie's voice asking me who had called me.

I was afraid to tell her but I had no choice and even if I don't tell her, she would eventually find out when Andy returns in two days time.

Jackie's Pov

After much thinking he finally said "the person who called me was Andy. She is to return home in two days. That's all".

I was so happy for him. He would finally be able unite with his sister again.

I was so happy that jumped and hugged him without even realizing it.

It was when I saw his shocked face that it struck me that I would have to leave if Andy returns.

How can I possibly leave. It has been three months plus since everyone else I know thought I died in the ship wreck.

Where would I go from here?
I had just started developing feelings for someone for the first time in my life.

I don't know if he feels the same way.

"Are you alright" Liam said standing in front of me and placing both of his hands on my shoulders.

I didn't want him to feel that I wasn't happy for his sister's return so I put on a fake smile and said "I'm fine. Just thinking of how we are going to welcome Andy".

He kept looking at me rather surprised as if he wanted me to say something else.

We got home later in the evening. My eyes was about tearing up so I made an excuse that I was feeling headache and had to rest in my room.

I have been holding myself from crying on the way home but as soon as I entered my room, I let it all out.

After sobbing for over an hour, I picked up a bagpack and folded little clothes in it.

It's not possible for Liam to like me the way I like him.

I guess this is my fate. I'm not fated to ever be happy in my life. When the smallest ray of light starts to shine in my life, darkness always comes from nowhere and cover it.

I guess I could pretend I'm happy till Andy comes back. At least I know I still have Lacie with me.

It was 10pm and I think Liam would be asleep by now so I decided to go to the sitting room to watch a movie. At least I hope it helps me relieve my mind.

I went to the kitchen accompanied by Lacie to make some popcorn and also get some ice cream. It is said that ice cream is a good remedy for depression.

After grabbing what I needed from the kitchen, we proceeded to the sitting room.

As we watched "Titanic", I kept stuffing my mouth with popcorn and ice cream.
I don't like the movie because it ends on a sad note but I still watched it because it was the only available movie to watch.

Almost at the end of the movie, my eyes were all teary and my mouth filled with ice cream, just then I noticed a figure sitting on the chair close to mine.

"Who are you" I asked. The figure got up and started moving towards me. In fear I threw the popcorn and ice cream at the person.

I ran and switched on the light only to see Andy standing in front of me, covered in ice cream and popcorn.

Look who decided to drop in earlier than expected.
