I was in the room playing with my new pup. We played catch over and over again then finally I thought of the perfect name for the most adorable pup in the world.

"Hey dear, I think I will call you Lacie". Lacie kept rolling on the floor as if she loved her name.

I turned to look at the clock but it was almost 12am. OMG I can't believe that it's almost morning. Wow!!! There is really a saying that time goes fast when you're having a good time.

I quickly jumped on the bed in order to get some sleep. Soon after Lacie joined me on bed, I fell asleep.

Ding Ding Ding the alarm rang continuously. I tried to turn it off by hitting it while burying my head in my pillow but my efforts went to waste as it refused to stop. I raised my head to look at what the time was.

Oh!!! Fudge it's already 7:30am. In 30 minutes, I'll be officially late for school.

I ran into the bathroom and took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and put on a skinny jean, a black boot, a blue T-shirt.

I turned to the clock and it was already 7:45am. As I was about to leave the house, I received a text from Liam.

"Please could you help me pick up my history assignment from my table. I can't afford not to submit this assignment. Pleasssssss!!! And the car packed outside is yours so you use it in getting to school"

I ran back upstairs into Liam's room and without much stress, I found his history assignment. As I turned to leave, my eyes moved towards his wardrobe and saw pictures Liam and Andrea. The looked really happy together.

I bet Liam must be going through a lot not knowing where his sister is.

Lost in thought, I forgot I was late for school. The sound of message entering my phone brought broke my trance. I picked up my phone to see who had texted me. It's Liam again!!!

"Where are you? The first period is about to begin"

I looked at my watch and saw that it was already 8:00am. I sprinted down stairs and got into my supposed car.

As I walked passed the hallway, the quietness was an indication that everyone was probably in class by now.

I approached my class and saw that the class was completely dark with just a projector light pointing at the white screen at the front of the class.

I know you must be wondering how I knew where my class is.
Liam had given me directions earlier and even a school map. It was easy since I was good at reading maps.

I decided to go into class unnoticed and this would be easy since the lights were off.

As I quietly opened the door and got in, the lights came on. Apparently the class had ended. I stood at the door stiff as the attention of all the students were directed towards me.

Mr Saunders walked up to me "Miss Summers, why are you just coming to school and the class just ended".

I started fidgeting as I tried to think of a suitable explanation to give Mr Saunders.

"I'm sorry sir, I am to blame for her coming late to school. Actually, I had forgotten my assignment at home and so I told Andrea to get it for me. It was my fault" Liam said with his hands resting on my shoulder.

Wow!! if it isn't Liam here to save the day. Both of you have detention after school.

I quickly slipped mine and Liam's assignment into the box which contained the assignment of the other students

Liam and I sat in an awkward silence during detention. Both of us sat there just scanning our books when it was clear we weren't even reading it.

We were alone in the detention room. "Hey Andrea I mean Jackie you were really brave when you slipped our assignment into the box. I didn't know you had it you" he said with small smirk on his face.

There's a lot you don't know about me and also a lot I don't know about you and your family.

Well you're right you don't know anything about me and my family.
Andrea and I were the only children of our parents. People who don't know us Practically think we the Summers family are living the dream. Andrea and I have been alone most of our lives. Our parents are always on business trips. We see them maybe twice in a month or even less. To us, it was more like we never had parental love. That is why if anything happens to Andy, I won't be able to bear it.

I know it's tough on you but I promise to help you with anything you want to find Andrea.

"Okey now you know almost everything about me why not tell me about you miss Jackie" he said with a smirk on his face.

Well there is nothing much to know about me. My case is that of the Cinderella story with the exception of castle's, royal balls and prince charming. I'm an orphan who lives with her evil step mother and sister. I work five per time jobs everyday. I'm the most famous loser in school. I guess that's all there is to know about me.

I chuckled, wow!!! I guess my life is so weird and miserable that it cam be summarized in just few words.

I raised my head with tears gathered my eyes at the verge of pouring out. I looked at Liam's face which had a sober look plastered all over but he let a grin escape his face as he saw me looking at him.

"You shouldn't let the troubles in life way you down. Sometimes you just have to accept what life throws at you and make the best out of it" Liam said as he lends me an handkerchief to clean my tears which has already started pouring out.

Thanks for everything, I blurted out. "We really nerd to complete all the character and events in your Cinderella story" he said with a smirk on his face while making a gesture to words the clock indicating the end of our detention.

We got home later to find out that mum and dad left a note saying that they had an important conference to attend in Germany.

Liam's face showed that he was pissed of but gave a small smile and started proceeding towards his room.

"What would you like to eat for dinner" I yelled.
"I don't think i have the appetite to eat anything right now" he replied.

I decided to make some cookies which was my specialty to cheer him on.
Few minutes after i had finished preparing the cookie which were in the form of smile face, i put some in a plate with a glass of milk and dropped it at Liam's door before leaving for my room.

After reaching my room, i texted Liam to get the cookie i have kept close to his door.

I quickly went to the bathroom to freshen up so that i could read before going to bed because i had tests tomorrow. They were the once Andrea had missed.

After reading for almost two hour and thirty minutes straight, my eyes were now practically swollen i was really felling sleepy. Then Liam texted me beck.

"Thanks for the cookie and milk. It was really delicious and smiles also cheered me up. You made my day".
