I eagerly opened up the paper Wendy gave me. It was too bad that we couldn't be together. But she was right. She was way older than me. I guess it was time to meet another girl my age instead.

Inside, I saw all of our friend's signatures, including Gideon. I then look at Pacifica's signature.' Maybe I'll go with Pacifica instead. She is my age not to mention that I saved her family from that lumberjack ghost, after she saved me and everyone at the party, I thought. And after that dance And the hug, I'm sure she'll say yes. I began to smile. Maybe this was my chance.

I turn the paper over to put it away, but I stopped to find something horrible. My heart stopped as I read the words, which were in blood.
