They Can't Be Gone 😭👪
"Lloyd! Over here!"
The blonde ran over to where the final member of the team stood, alongside his mother and nindroid ally.
"Where are the others?" Pixal asked. Lloyd looked down.
"I'm sorry..."
"Sorry? For what?"
"They're...gone. Dead."
Nya frowned, before rolling her eyes, "Pfft, sure. Nice try, Lloyd. They're all hiding, aren't they?"
Lloyd stared at her, shaking his head. He swallowed, "They're dead. I watched them get crushed. All of em': Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Wu."
Nya shook her head, "No. No! Y-You must've had something in your eye, t-they can't be dead!" She took off running, Lloyd behind her, "Nya! They're gone!"
"No!" Nya's voice was breaking, "You're lying, I-they're alive!"
Lloyd managed to grab Nya and pull her back, despite her struggling, and pulled her to his chest, "They're gone, Nya! They were crushed, and we're never gonna see them!"
The water ninja continued fighting to get out of Lloyd's grasp, "Please! They can't be gone!" she sobbed
"They're gone, Waterlily," Lloyd murmured softly, using the ninja's nickname for her, "They're gone." Nya simply cried into the green ninja's gi, and Lloyd too, shed some tears. He hated seeing his best friend like this. What he hated more was that he couldn't do anything about it.
She'd gone still, so Lloyd unwrapped his arms. Nya took a few steps forward, looking up at the sky. The first drops of rain had started to fall, along with a few flashes of lightning. Water and lightning. Water and lightning...
Nya and Jay...
Pixal slowly approached her, and held her hand softly, "They'd want us to fight on, Nya," she whispered, though tears were falling from her eyes as well. She fell to her knees, clasping a hand over her mouth, as she tried to muffle her sobs. The others watched, pain in their eyes. Sure, they had lost someone special to them, but Nya had lost a blood relative.
That's gotta hurt.
"I...I need to be alone," she whispered.
Misako opened her mouth, "Nya dear, the Sons of Garmadon are out there, it's dangerous-"
"I don't care! Please, I just, I don't wanna see anyone. And I wasn't asking for permission," she choked out. Without warning, she sprinted off, jumping from roof to roof. Misako looked at Lloyd, and he nodded, racing after her.

Nya found herself at the canals, on the roof of one of the huts. It was one of her and Jay's favourite places to go to. She sat down, the rain soaking her hair.
"Need some company?"
Nya didn't bother turning around, "I thought I said I wanted to be alone,"
"I know but..." he sat down next to her, letting his feet dangle, "I get that your mad, and are mourning, but can you at least do it safely? The Sons of Garmadon are out there, and we're already down 5,"
"Yeah...I got it." Taking her phone out, she scrolled through her contacts, until she reached a contact named, 'Sparky'. She clicked on it and it rang.
"Hey! It's Jay! So, haha funny story, my phone and I are playing hide and seek....aaannnddd...it's winning. I'll call you back as soon as I find it. . Hey before you leave that message, do you want to know something about me? I love jokes. You want to know something I hate? I hate long messages, so why don't you leave a short one and I'll get back to you. If you leave a long one don't count on it."
Lloyd stared in confusion as she cut the call and rang the number again,
"Hey!
"Nya, he's not gonna pick up," The master of Energy reminded her gently.
"I know, just hearing his voice makes me feel happy, like he's still here..."
"I won't be able to understand what you're going through, but I want you to know that you aren't alone in this. If you want someone to cry on, or someone to listen to heavy metal music with in complete silence, I'm here."
Nya smiled at him, "Thanks, pintsize,"
"No problem, midget,"
The two wordlessly stared at the boats in silence. A non-awkward silence filled by the thunder and rain pattering against the surface.
They were going to fight. But not for themselves. They were going to fight in memory of their fallen brothers.
