Smith Sibling Supremacy 🥺👪

Summary: Kai/Nya/Lloyd sibling fluff. Takes place during TLNM

Two knocks at the door, "Lloyd? You in here?"

The boy in question lifted his head from the pillow and looked at the wooden door. His eyes averted past his mirror, and he recoiled in shock.

His hair was a mess, as was his room. A bruise was forming on his right eye and it hurt like shit. Earlier that afternoon, Garmadon had decided to attack Ninjago City. And though he'd been defeated (again), it didn't stop Chen and his gang from cornering Lloyd in the parking lot at the end of the school day, giving him a big smackdown, laughing as he withered on the ground, overcome by pain.

Lloyd's nose was red from crying, his cheeks flushed. Tissues were scattered across his room. Most were covered in tears.

The rest was blood.

"Lloyd?" This time the voice was higher-pitched, more feminine.

"Y-Yeah, I'm here. The door's unlocked."

Within seconds of saying that, the handle turned as the door was pushed open. Kai and Nya crept into the room, and Lloyd looked down, avoiding their intense gazes.

The bed creaked as both teens perched on the mattress beside their blonde companion, "What happened to your face, Lloyd?"

"More like who happened to your face," Kai huffed, "Who should we give a one-way ticket to the Departed Realm to?"

Lloyd shook his head, sniffling as he fiddled with the hem of his shirt, "It was just Chen and the others. I have it under control, it's fine."

"It doesn't seem like it," Nya spoke up softly. Lloyd squeezed her hand in reassurance, "I'm fine, really. You guys don't have to worry about me."

Kai bumped his shoulder against the smaller male's, "You're our brother, Lloyd. We're always gonna worry about you. Considering how many crazy situations you've gotten yourself into, we can't not worry."

Nya nodded, "Yeah. I mean, remember the toilet stall incident?"

Lloyd snorted, a laugh escaping his lips as he slapped his knee, "Don't you even think about bringing that up!"

As the trio's laughter died down, Kai looked at the younger teen, "You gotta fight back, Lloyd. Holding in that anger isn't going to do you any good."

"When they look at me, all they see is my dad. All they see is the corrupted soul who keeps trying to take over the city and harm innocent lives. I'm not like that. I'm not my dad."

"You're right." Kai gripped Lloyd's hands, "You're not your dad. You're Lloyd, the legendary green ninja in disguise. You're the hero under the broken teen, saving everyone, despite them treating you like shit. You deserve better than this, kid. And you shouldn't sit back and let them fire their shots at you. Fire back. Everyone's terrified of Nya at school. Why? Because she fires back."

Lloyd sniffled again, "I honestly feel like I'm dragging you guys down with me at this point." Nya ruffled his hair, using her sleeve to reach up and wipe the stray tears away from Lloyd's cheeks, "Nonsense. We're simply the iconic trio with the type of bond everyone wants but can't have."

Kai wrapped his arm around his younger siblings, "It's us against the world, guys. It always has been."

Lloyd smiled softly, leaning against the red ninja as Nya rested against his shoulder. A jumble of limbs tangled against each other in a messy bedroom. Nobody spoke; no words had to be said at this point.
