Kai groaned, sagging down to the floor, "I'm way too sober for this shit," he mumbled while Jay and Cole lit up candles and Zane lit up some sage, wafting it around in the air. Lloyd entered the room with a slim wooden board and a triangle shaped object also made out of wood, but this time there was a ring through the centre, with clear glass encasing it.

He set the board down in the centre of the room, and Jay put the candles at every empty space he found, whilst Cole pushed back furniture and Kai closed all the curtains and windows. The last of the sage was used, and everyone had with them, an item they hold dear to their heart.

For Kai that was his father's old seal. Jay had Mr Cuddlywomp, and Cole brought with him a framed photo of Lilly. Zane, despite claiming that he had nothing of importance, begrudgingly had a cookbook dating back to the 1900s. Lloyd had his father's old gi in his lap, and they all set it aside, preparing to start the game.

The five teens placed their fingers on the planchette, moving it around the board in clockwise circles as Lloyd called out, "If there is a presence with us tonight, please make yourself known."
