NOTE: In this fanfic, they don't live at the Monastery! They live in apartments with their S/O, expect Lloyd&Morro who room together! Also, Jay and Nya are married in this AU! Also, it's mentioned that Coliel have a daughter named Rosemary

This is heavily based on Brooklyn Nine Nine, Season 7 Episode 13

"...And that concludes today's announcements. Oh, right! Squad, as many of you know already, it's Nya's last day here, before she goes on maternity leave!" Wu announced. Everyone applauded the master of water, who simply blushed and gave a small wave, "We will see you in three months," the elderly man tells her.

All of a sudden, the lights start flickering, and it goes dark.

"Great!" Morro snarled. They all rush outside, to see the whole of Ninjago City in darkness. Several gunshots rung through the air, followed by screaming.

"Well, isn't this just a nice surprise!" Kai fumed.

Seliel was panicking, "What do we do?"

"We split up. Jay, Kai, Skylor, Zane, go to the crime scene, see what's going on. The rest of us will stay back and manage the situation from here," Lloyd ordered, "Go go go!"

Kai, Jay, Skylor and Zane geared up and everyone else rushed to the work room. Nya took charge of the situation, ordering people to tap into the city's electrical boxes.

"...Alright, I need a clipboard, a stopwatch, someone to keep eyes on the blackout situation, a pair of sweatpants and someone to check in with Kai, Jay, Sky and Zane!" Nya ordered.

Lloyd approached her, looking confused, "Woah, why sweatpants?"

"Well, the blackout isn't seeming to get any better, and people need help out there. Also my water just broke, but the public are our first matter-"

"YOUR WATER JUST BROKE?!"

"Okay, so, what happened here?" Jay asked the Commissioner, who was already at the scene of the crime.

"Uh, drunk driver crashed into the source of Ninjago City's power. Empty bottle of vodka was found in the backseat of the car,"

Kai summoned fire on his hand and held it towards the ground, "Let's follow this very obvious trail of blood and see where it leads us,"

They followed it and it led them to a warehouse.

"Guys! There's someone there!" Zane pointed to a heap of rubble, where a man with a gash on his forehead was wriggling out.

Skylor ran forward and dragged him out, "We may not be cops, but you have the right to remain silent-" she was cut off by a phone ringing, "Answer it," she ordered. The man shrugged slurring, "Not my phone,"

Jay rummaged through his pockets, and brought out his phone, which was the source of the ringing, and answered it, "Yes, Morro?"

"Hey, so, don't freak out or anything-"

"You're making me freak out by saying that, what's going on?"

"Okay, so...Nya's water broke-"

"WHAT?!" Jay's eyes widened as he turned away, "We'll be there as soon as possible, how is she?"

"Uh...she's acting like she's not in a critical situation."

"Any contractions?"

"None yet. What do you want us to do?"

"Keep her calm, sit her down somewhere-"

"That's not gonna happen. Lloyd and Seliel are trying, but she won't budge. She says she has it all under control,"

"Okay. I'm on my way," he cut the call, and looked up at his sister-in-law, "Cuff him and put him in the car."

"On it," Jay ran out to the car, and opened the door, and Skylor placed him inside. They all piled in, and Jay started up the engine. They drove through the roads, only to be met with the worst thing ever; traffic.

"Excuse me, dearie!" Zane looked through the window to see an elderly woman knocking on the glass, "My name is Mystake. I need a ride. My place is in the dark,"

"Uh....we're kinda in a rush ma'am"

"Please! I will do anything!"

"Uh, okay then, you can wait out in the Monastery until the power is back" Skylor helped her into the back.

"If we even make it to the Monastery!" Jay grumbled, "I'm gonna miss my son's birth!"

Mystake scoffed, "When a woman is in labour, the only people that should be with her is a professional doctor!"

"Seriously, Mystake?!"

"Nya, I really think you should get to a hospital!"

"I'm fine, Seliel! I can handle this!"

"No, you can't. At least go and lie down, and Lloyd and Morro can take charge of the situation-"

"Sel! I'm fine! I haven't even had my first contra-GAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The pink-haired girl watched as Nya's face scrunched up with pain.

"Where we at?" Pixal asked, walking forward with a flashlight.

"First contraction. Nya, you really need to take it easy-"

"I. Am. Fine!"

"Seliel!" Lloyd ran forward, "We can't get to a hospital! There's traffic all over the place. She'll probably be in labour any minute now!"

"No! The doctor said to only freak out when the contractions are 3 minutes apart and last for 45 seconds. I'm nowhere near that!"

"Dude! You are about to have a fricking baby in a middle of a national crisis!"

"SHUDDUP-GAHHHHH!"

"Wait, where's Cole?"

"Are you kidding me?!"

Currently Cole was trapped in the supply room. He'd been practising some 80s disco dance moves in secret, but the door locked from the outside, leaving him trapped in. Not to mention, the place was soundproofed FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER!

"And my phone's dead! Just great!" he fumed, pacing around the room.

"Crap. I'm claustrophobic. THE WALLS ARE CLOSING IN ON ME!" he rushed to the door and pounded on it, "HELP ME! HELP!"

Lloyd rushed up to the pregnant woman, stopwatch in his hand.

"Okay, I've been timing your contractions, I really think now's a good time to sit out before page 53 happens. Yes, I started reading the book Jay brought BECAUSE I AM FREAKING OUT!" he brandished a large book entitled, The Pregnancy Cycle.

"It won't happen! I'm telling you! You're freaking out over nothing! Just be glad I'm not on page 214"

"You have been having contractions left and right, and are not good at hiding them, WHAT'S ON PAGE 214?!"

"I'm fine-MMMF!"

Lloyd folded his arms, "Just let it out."

"GAHHHHHHHHH!"

"We're getting nowhere in this traffic!" Jay fumed.

"Try the sirens!" Kai snapped.

"I did! Nothing happened!"

"Back in my day, people respected the heroes of the city. Not like where we're at now!"

Zane gritted his teeth, "Not. Helping. Mystake!" Skylor perked up.

"I have an idea! Everyone out! We're going on foot!" They proceeded to jump out of the car and onto the pavement. As they speed-walked in the direction of the Monastery, they heard an urgent shout.

"HELP!"

Kai placed a hand on Jay's shoulder, "It's fine, we'll call it in-"

"We can't ignore a cry for help!" Jay protested, "Okay. One of us needs to stay behind with...what's your name?"

"Michael."

"Yup, one of us needs to stay with Michael. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Mystake, can you watch over him, while we respond to this?"

Mystake simply shrugged, "You might as well shoot him!"

"No! We are not shooting anyone!"

The four ninja ran into the building, and up the stairs, where they encountered a woman kneeling over an injured man.

"He fell down the stairs," she explained. Zane stepped forward and examined the injury.

"It's just sprained. Give it plenty of ice and he should be fine-" he was cut off by a gunshot. Hurriedly, they sprinted outside, to see Michael with a gunshot in his leg.

"She shot me!" he yelped. Mystake wielded a gun, which Kai rushed forward and snatched, "Where did you get this?!"

"It's for protection! I was protecting myself! He made a sudden movement!"

"I was going to sneeze!" Michael protested.

"Look! We don't have time for this! My wife is in labour!" Jay yelled.

"Really? You could have just said something," Mystake muttered.

"I HAVE! FOR THE PAST HOUR!" Suddenly his phone rang. He answered it.

"Hey, babe! I am so sorry! Listen, I am gonna sprint to the hospital and meet you there. Which room are you in?"

"Uh...the break room,"

"Uh...the break room,"

"What?!"

"We don't have enough time to get to a hospital, so we have to have the baby here. Where are you?" she asked. Seliel was setting up the couch, and Morro was on the phone to Wu.

"Well, I stopped a drunk man, helped an elderly woman who's head's stuck in the past, called in for an injured man, but it's our birth story-"

"GAH! SCREW YOUR BIRTH STORY AND JUST GET HERE!" Nya screamed, causing Pixal to jump. Lloyd dashed forward and took the phone out of her hand.

"Heh, what she means is, she's in too much pain to talk," he said, chuckling nervously.

"Listen, I never wanted the birth to go like this. Is there anything I can do?"

"Yes, actually. GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE BEFORE SHE KILLS YOU!"

"This is it. I'm gonna die alone!" Cole whimpered, "I'm not gonna be able to die in the heat of battle, like a hero. I'm gonna die of starvation...or dehydration!"

Blinking rapidly, he stood up, "No. No I WILL NOT! I am Nicholas Josiah Brookstone, and I will NOT die in a supply room! HIYAAAAAA!"

He stepped back, before running towards the door, breaking it off his hinges. He laughed and flexed his muscles!

He rushed to the break room, which was in chaos. "Where the hell have you been?" Seliel asked.

"Trapped in the supply closet. What's going on?"

"Nya's in labour. The doctors won't be able to make it in time-"

"I can do it," Morro spoke up.

"What?" Seliel seemed horrified

"I can do it! I did med school for 3 years and graduated!"

Nya looked up at him, "You did? When?!"

"Does it matter?!" He turned to Seliel, "We don't have any medication, so we need something to distract her. Any ideas?"

"Uhh..." Seliel leaned in, "So...how's Samurai X?"

"Dead to me."

"Okay, I'm out of ideas!"

"I...might be able to help, but I'll need a partner. Lloyd?" Cole gestured to the blonde. He whispered in his ear, and Lloyd's face scrunched up, "Fine, but we will never talk of this again!"

Cole selected the music on Lloyd's phone, and set it aside. Everyone watched in amusement and horror, as they started dancing (skip to 0:18)

Morro, Seliel and Nya stared at the two, completely horrified. Pixal wordlessly took her phone and started recording.

"And I'm definetley distracted," she mumbled, horror-struck by the scene in front of her. However, it was cut short by another contraction. She screamed and grasped the couch, sweat dripping from her forehead.

"Okay, it's go time!" Morro and Pixal got into position, "Now PUSH!"

"Great! Just great! I have no way of getting to Nya. I'm gonna miss my son's birth, Nya's gonna kill me, life is just great!" Jay paced back and forth on the pavement.

"Okay! I wasn't gonna do this, but desperate times call for desperate measures," Kai blurted out, pulling his phone out and dialling a number.

Minutes later, the Commissioner appeared, a horse by his side.

"Sargent Peanut Butter," Kai narrowed his eyes, "I know we don't see eye to eye, but-"

"Hey, Kai? Can we press pause on this speech, I really need to get going!" Jay clambered onto the horse's back and took hold of the reins.

"Yup, good luck!" The commissioner called, "Hee-ya!"

"Wait, HOW DO I RIDE A HORSE?!"

It was two late, the horse sprinted off, with Jay grasping on for dear life.

"I can't do it!"

"You have to!" Pixal urged, "There's no turning back in this!"

"I HATE BEING PREGNANT!" Nya screeched, as Lloyd cluelessly wiped the sweat off her forehead with a cloth.

"It hurts!" Tears were now streaming down the water ninja's cheeks. Seliel ran forward and placed her forehead against Nya's.

"You were there for me when Rosemary was born. Now I'm here for you. Five more minutes of pain, until a lifetime of happiness! Now push, or I'll yank that kid out!" {1}

Nya laughed, remembering how she'd told Seliel those exact words when she was in labour.

Pixal gasped. "I see the head! You're doing so well!" The door burst open and Jay ran in, "I'M HERE!"

"JEREMIAH ANTHONY GORDON-WALKER! I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Nya screeched.

"BABE! WE'RE AT PAGE 53!"

"GAHHH! I KNOW!"

"Well, Nya, we did it. We created the hottest baby in the history of Ninjago,"

"I would say the cutest,"

"Nah. This kid is liquid fire"

Currently Nya and Jay were in a hospital room. After Nya finally delivered, they rushed her to the hospital, and now here they were, holding their bundle of joy.

"What are we gonna tell him, when we finally explain his birth story?" Nya asked, leaning into Jay's chest, cradling the child.

"We'll tell him that his dad helped a bunch of people, put up with an annoying old lady, and rode a horse all the way here! And his mom dealt with a blackout situation in labour!"

The door open and everyone crept in. Seliel gasped, "He's so cute!"

"What's his name?" Pixal asked eagerly. Nya smiled.

"Everyone, meet Fritz Ray Ed Walker-Gordon-Smith,"

Lloyd did a double take, "Wait, Fritz? As in...Fritz Donnegan?"

Jay grinned, "Yep!"

Nya looked up at her teammates, "I wanna thank you guys, for being with me throughout this, and also...sorry,"

"Don't mention it! It was all worth it!" Zane grinned. Skylor, Kai, Seliel and Cole rushed forward, "I wanna see my nephew!"

They all crowded around him, cooing at his cuteness.

Jay laughed, "Alright, let's clear some space out." Nya looked over at Cole and Lloyd, "Thank you, for that dance which will for sure, haunt my dreams!"

"Wait, what dance?" Jay asked.

"N-Nothing!" Lloyd spluttered. Pixal laughed, "I have a video of it!"

"Nya, take Fritz! Pixal, give me that phone!"

As the ravenette took the sleeping child, a pang of realisation hit her.

"I just realised...we did everything at the Monastery. We first met there, first kissed there. You asked me to officially be your girlfriend there, you asked be to be your yang there, you proposed to me there (NOT TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE WYMM ONESHOT), we got married with Wu officiating there, and we had our kid there!"

"You know," Morro spoke up, "I wouldn't be surprised if you two died together at the Monastery."

All eyes were on Morro, who shrugged and smiled sheepishly.

"What? I'm just saying!"
