Holly

I feel someone tap my shoulder, and that awakes me from my peaceful sleep. It's Harry.
"Holly, it's past seven," Harry says, "you should go help the others make breakfast"
I get out of bed and yawn, "Okay."
I kiss Harry's cheek before I leave his bedroom. I feel there's something missing, and then I remember, I need to tell him I love him... But do I? I really want to, because I do truly love him, but I don't know how the other girls and even the boys will react.
I walk into the girls and I's bedroom to get dressed into my usual purple doll dress before applying my makeup and styling my hair into two perfect plaits. The only girl still asleep in bed is Macy, so I go to wake her up.
Macy stays in bed, "Ugh, five more minutes, Liz"
"It's Holly," I shake Macy's shoulder, "C'mon, Mace, wake up"
Macy sits up, "Good morning, Holls"
"Morning" I nod.
"What's the time?" Macy asks.
"Uh..." I look at the clock on the pink painted wall, "7:27"
Macy gets out of bed, "I'll be down in twenty mins"
"Alright," I say, "see ya soon"
I walk downstairs and go into the kitchen, where the girls are setting the table and making breakfast.
"Morning, babe!" Liz says, pouring orange juice into the tall glasses.
"Good morning, girls" I say.
I get a chopping board and start chopping and slicing some fresh fruit.
Dakota sits on one of the bench chairs, and steals a piece of fruit I was slicing. I roll my eyes at her.
"I think Elsie and Zayn are coming over today" Dakota says, getting another piece of fruit.
"Can't you wait till breakfast, Kota?"
"What?" Dakota eats a strawberry, "I'm hungry."
Lola sits on down on the bench chair next to Dakota.
"How was yesterday with Harry, Holly?" Lola asks, smirking. Immediately, Juliet quickly walks over, joining the conversation.
"Uh, we just went bowling..." I say, chopping some more fruit.
"Just bowling?" Lola smiles cheekily, "Anything else?"
"Shut up, Lola" Juliet says.
"What? Jealous, Juliet?" Lola lightly pushes Juliet.
"Leave Jules alone, Lola" I say.
"Don't call me Jules." Juliet says.
"Why? I always call you Jules"
"Only my friends are allowed to call me Jules"
"Oh, damn!" Lola's jaw drops.
I look at Juliet with a sad expression on my face. It's just disappointing how her jealousy can stop friendship at any time.
"Jokes." Juliet winks. I chuckle.
Macy walks into the kitchen, putting on an apron.
"Morning, Mace" We all say.
"Sup." Macy says, getting out everything to make pancakes.
Juliet goes to get the TV remote and asks us for suggestions on what to watch.
"Family Guy!" Macy says.
"Are you serious, Mace?" Lola crosses her arms, "Let's watch Friends."
"We always watch Friends!" Macy whines.
"Well, we all like Friends" Lola says, getting off the bench stool and going to sit on the small couch.
Dakota puts on an old episode of Friends and sits down next to Lola.
"Who wants to help me put all the food on the table?" Liz asks.
"Who would want to?" Lola says from the smaller living room in front of the kitchen.
I roll my eyes at Lola's rudeness, "I will, Liz"
I help Liz set out all the food and dishes on the dining table, and soon Macy finishes the pancakes and helps us.
"Breakfast is ready!" Macy says.
"I'll go tell Harry" I say, walking out of the kitchen.
Once I'm in front of Harry's bedroom, I knock on the door and he answers almost immediately, but he's on the phone.
Harry puts the phone to his chest, "Come in, darling"
I walk into Harry's bedroom and take a seat cross legged on the bed.
"What do you mean? Yes! 32. That's fine. Of course! Only Zayn knows that. Alright?" Harry says on the phone.
I sit there awkwardly, looking down at my blue painted nails as Harry talks on the phone, pacing back and forth.
"Yes, yes, okay. Goodbye Lauryn" Harry says.
As soon as the name 'Lauryn' leaves Harry's mouth butterflies fly in my stomach. Ever since I read that letter, I am scared of this 'Lauryn' girl.
"Uh," I say, "breakfast is ready"
"Alright."
"Oh! Also, I have to tell you something" I say, and Harry comes to sit next to me on the bed.
"Yeah, Holly?"
I know it's time. I know it's time to express my feelings for the beautiful person in front of me. He makes me feel nervous, special, loved and cared for. I really love him... And it's time to tell him that.
I take a big breath, "I love you."
Harry smiles widely, his dimples flashing.
"I love you too, Holly"
I lean in for a kiss, but at exactly the wrong time, Dakota walks in.
"Breakfast is- oh, sorry." Dakota says, standing there.
"We're coming down" Harry says.
"Right." Dakota walks away.
Harry looks back at me and smashes his lips onto mine and we engage in a slow, passionate kiss.
| At Breakfast |
I sit next to Harry and Lola at the table. Everyone is locked in conversation and enjoying breakfast.
"So, Christmas is only a few days away." I says taking a bite from my French toast.
"Yeah, we're having it here" Harry says.
"I honestly can't wait! I love Christmas. Sitting by the fire, singing Christmas carols, all the yummy food," I say, smiling, "don't you just love Christmas, Lola!"
"I'm Jewish."
"Oh, right." I say, awkwardly.
Harry looks outside from the large window, "Snow is coming"
"I know," I chuckle, "closer to snowball fights"
"Eh," Lola shrugs, "I've always been more of a summer girl."
Lola, Harry and I talk and talk all through breakfast about Christmas and the NYE party. Both, as Harry describes, sound really fun. Especially the New Years party, where all the girls get to drink and be... Normal for the night. I'm looking forward to that.
| 2 Hours Later |
We hear the loud doorbell ring throughout the whole dollhouse, and Harry goes to answer it. It's Zayn and Elsie.
"Hello, Zayn, Elsie" Harry nods at Zayn and Elsie.
"Hi" Elsie says, calmly.
"Hey" Zayn greets Harry.
Zayn and Elsie come in and the girls and I all go over to greet them.
After we all greet Zayn and Elsie, the girls, Elsie and I all head into the smaller living room in the kitchen while Zayn and Harry stay in the main one.
Elsie sits down on the couch last, "So, what's up?"
"Nothing, really," Macy says, "but that's good, usually something crazy is going on."
"I've heard." Elsie laughs.
"Have you seen Fran lately?" Elsie says.
"No? Why?" Juliet asks.
Elsie tries to stop herself from laughing, "She's gotten a nose job."
The girls and I all burst out laughing.
"A nose job? Seriously?" Lola says.
"How bad is it?" I ask Elsie.
"I saw her yesterday. Her nose is even worse now. It's really skinny and tiny, it makes her sound way more nasally"
"Great, now the sound of her voice is even more annoying" Dakota says.
Elsie, the girls and I all have conversation together, mostly just gossiping about others, all except Liz of course, literally the nicest person you'll ever meet.
As the moment goes silent for a bit, Elsie's eyebrows shoot up and says she needs to to talk to me in private.
I take Elsie to the upstairs laundry for privacy.
"So, what's up?" I ask.
"Well," Elsie says, "you know how I am waiting on a response from Sientistic? The art academy?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, I was checking my emails, and I got an email from them. I'm accepted."
"Wow!" I say, "Congats, gorgeous!"
"But the thing is, Zayn is too scared to let me go."
"Oh..."
"So, I'm escaping The Dollhouse."
"Elsie," My mood turns dead serious, "don't, please, don't."
"Holly!" Elsie says, "Seriously? This is once in a lifetime."
"Do not escape. Zayn will kill you, I assure you he will"
"I'm still escaping, I-I have to."
"Elsie..."
"I am. Okay, enough."
The moment goes quiet for a short while.
"Where's the bathroom? I just have to touch up on my makeup" Elsie asks.
"Uh," I say, "Find the girls and I's bedroom. We have a bathroom."
"Okay." Elsie says, leaving and hitting my shoulder with hers.
After five minutes of still being in the laundry, I stop and think why the hell I'm still in here after Elsie just left.
I walk back into the girls and I's bedroom and Elsie just walks out of the bathroom.
"Oh. My. God" Elsie says, standing in front of me.
"What?" I look around.
"You... You should escape with me!"
"Elsie, I-"
"Holly! Escape with me!"
"El-"
"You're escaping with me."
"But, I-"
"Holly! We have to! We're escaping The Dollhouse!"
"Elsie."
"You're escaping with me, alright!"
"No."
"But-"
I cut Elsie off, "I said no."
"Why!"
"Because I said no."
"Don't you want to escape?"
"No!" I raise my voice a little.
"Why?"
"Because... I don't want to go back! I love everyone here."
"We-"
"I don't want to escape. I trust everyone here."
"Really?" Elsie crosses her arms.
"Are you sure you trust everyone here?" Elsie says.
Elsie walks over to Juliet's bed.
"Maybe you shouldn't trust everyone." Elsie says.
Elsie lifts up Juliet's pillow and from underneath pulls out something I'd least expect and slides it over to me.
A bloody knife.
