7: Non-stop

After a morning with Henry, you two decided to split since you wanted to get your homework out of the way before meeting the rest later.

The two of you had fun. You went to a café (one you didn't work at and one where you and Henry agreed to never tell Eira) and bought a few to-go drinks. The two of you and Toothless went to the park and walked around for a little bit. Henry pulled out a tennis ball for Toothless to fetch. The two of you decided to sit down on a bench while watching Toothless play. There was even a time when Henry offered you to throw the ball.

"You want me to throw the ball?" you asked jokingly.

"Why not?" he shrugged, "Toothless pretty much sees you as his master."

"Oh," you said teasingly, "But I could never be as good-looking."

Henry responded with a hearty laugh and pleased by your answer unbeknown to you.

He gave you the slightly wet ball before throwing a good distance across the field. Your clothes rustled with your movements. Toothless chased after the ball with a bark. You watched its bounce becoming minimal and Toothless tried catching it midair. Despite his failed attempt, he still looked like he was having fun.

"I didn't know you throw so well, milady," Henry chuckled.

You shrugged, "Not really."

"I'm serious," he said, "I'd say you throw as far as Allison could."

"Nah," you shook your head. Toothless ran back to you and given you the ball. You threw it again and watched him chaise it. "I told you I'm not athletic."

Henry was skeptical but he didn't question it any further.

The two of you left the park and walked back to your apartments before the sky turned different hues. He would have taken you to the meeting place himself but he wanted to make sure Toothless was home. He offered to come again so the both of you, but you declined saying you needed to change into comfortable clothing.

So, you did exactly that. You might not be athletic but you at least had comfortable clothing if you were to go on a run.

Skinny yoga pants and a loose shirt was what you picked out but didn't wear just yet. You wanted to map out the address before deciding to wear anything. If it was walking distance, you would just change and start walking. When you mapped it, you were surprised to find it on the other side of the city.

Looks like I'm taking my bike.

You didn't bother to change just yet. Instead, you put the change of clothes in a backpack and took off your scarf. You wore shoes with a bit of heal. You didn't bother with any tennis shoes because Henry informed you about just wearing socks in the gymnasium. He told you there would be a special kind of socks they sell that you would need to prepare to buy so you put extra cash in your wallet. When you thought you were ready, you pick up your stuff, grab your keys, and left out the door.

You arrived at the address within a half hour and a little earlier than what the group planned on meeting at. You decided to check it out while waiting for the others.

First thing that came to mind;

Huge.

Second;

There were trampolines everywhere.

It was getting close to sunset so the parents with little kids we getting their shoes on and getting ready to leave. As the younger ones were leaving, older kids were coming in and paying at the register.

"Hey, you made it!"

You were greeted by Allison and Henry. It looked like they had the same idea as you with both of their backpacks. You walked over to them and greeted them back.

"So, where do I start?" you asked.

Henry pointed to a set of computers. "You have to sign a contract before going to the register. It's mostly about safety. I'm sure you'll be fine."

"Danger is my middle name," you said sarcastically.

You walked over to the set up computers and chose one to get started on. Allison came after you and chose the computer next to you.

"I see you brought your bag to change into. Mind if I go to the bathroom with you?" she asked.

You shook your head. "I don't mind at all."

Henry walked to the computer on the other side of Allison. "I'm curious why girls go into groups to go to the bathroom."

We gave each other a look before shrugging. "Safer to go in groups."

"Ah," Henry chuckled.

You and Allison finished the signing and pain for two hours along with the socks you needed. The two of you walked out of the bathroom with what you brought and her in loose running shorts and a cap. You saw Henry changed into joggers and a loose shirt as well. It also looked like he took off his glasses.

"Where are the others?" you asked curiously.

"They're now just paying and be joining us soon," Henry answered.

There was a set of cubbies where you put your stuff before joining Henry and Allison in the gym. There was so much to try out you didn't know where to start.

"Wow, I don't know where to start," you said out loud.

Allison giggled slightly before answering, "My personal favorite is doing flips in the foam pit. It's great as a warm-up as well."

Henry nervously chuckled, "That is if you want to do any of that, [Name]. I know you said you weren't athletic."

"Are you kidding me?" Allison exclaimed, "She rides a sports motorcycle. There's no way you're just a bookworm."

"Ally," Henry called in warning.

"It's true. I mean, look at her! Her body does not scream weak." She crossed her arms and bumped hips with you playfully. She started running over to a vacant trampoline before jumping and doing a half flip and landed in the foam pit.

Henry shook his head. "I'm sorry. She might be like this, now, but you'll later understand it's just how she is."

You looked at him curiously while saying, "What do you mean? I knew she wasn't trying to offend me."

"You mean," he blinked, "you knew?"

"Well," you pondered, "it took a while for me to figure it out. The words she says sounds offensive but if you really understood, you would know it's just how she is; blunt."

Henry took a moment to process what you said before laughing abruptly. "You think too much," he howled.

You glared at him, "I don't see what's so funny."

"No, I'm not laughing at you," he shook his hand at you while trying to stop the giggles, "because that's what I do most of the time."

"You do?" you asked.

"Yeah," he nodded his head, "But this isn't the time to think. It's time to have fun." With that, he left you in the dust as he jumped into the foam pit without even trying to flip. You giggled as you watched him try to get out.

"Shouldn't you be in bed, shorty."

You mood immediately changed when you heard that voice. You went from giggles to a scowl on your façade. You turned with crossed arms to the voice that spoiled your evening.

"What are you doing here?" you growled at Eric, "I don't remember inviting you."

"Shouldn't you be in the kiddy area? I heard you also need an adult," he retorted.

"Is that the best you got?" you felt your teeth grinding, "Making fun of my height is the best you can do?"

Henry saw this and tried to get out of the foam pit faster. Allison saw this as well and helped pulling him out. When they finally got him out, they raced over to the two of you. Henry went to you and Allison to Eric. The two of them stood in front of you two but it didn't stop from glaring at each other.

"Why don't you try it out the foam pit, [Name]?" Henry said as he guided you away from Eric. He threw a grateful glance towards Allison. Allison tried to move Eric but he didn't move. He just stared as you turned away.

You looked at the foam pit before sighing quietly. "Okay," you nodded your head.

Unknowing to you, the whole group was staring especially at you as you ready yourself. You took a running start into the trampoline and jumped. You completed a double flip before landing into the soft foam. You took a while to get out but when you finally managed to get out, you realized you being watched with dropped jaws.

Everyone looked in surprised at you and apparently speechless besides Fredrick.

"Uh," he stuttered, "the sign says 'no double flips.'"

"Oh," you gaped slightly and looked behind you at the sign, "my bad, I'll try to hold back."

You heard incoherent sounds coming from Allison and Henry.

"W-What was that?!" Henry gestured wildly.

"'Not athletic' my butt! Show me how to do that!" Allison grabbed you by the shoulders.

You just stared at her with wide eyes while casually saying, "Just loosen up the muscles."

"Do it again," the twins encouraged.

"Uh, okay," you said. You knew not to do the double flip this time so you decided to add a little twist to it, literally. You had to problem with this one as you landed easily in the pit. You didn't even get out before looking up to see everyone amazed.

"I don't see how everyone is amazed at this. It's mostly the trampoline that helps me with the flips," you grunted as you tried to get out. Allison met you at the end, pulling you up.

"You also said you weren't athletic," Henry said skeptically.

"I'm not. I'm just experienced with this sort of thing," you shrugged.

"That's the same thing," Fredrick argued.

"Not in my book," you shook your head.

You heard a scoff. "Please, if flips is all you can do, I'm not surprised why you said you weren't athletic."

You felt your teeth grind again. "Watch it, giant."

"Oh," Eric grinned, "Look who is making fun of height now."

"How about," Henry intervened again, "we settle this with a friendly race at the Ninja Course."

You grinned when you spotted the obstacle course. "I'm not afraid of a little course. Bring it!"

"You're gonna lose," Eric scoffed again.

"At what? Eating dust?" you retorted.

Eric furrowed his brows in confusion, "What dust?"

You ran after saying to him, "Mine."
