Ever been in that sort of awkward situation where someone tells you something, and you say "You, too!"

For example:
A waiter brings you your food and says, "Enjoy your meal!"

"Thank you, you too." I said that and he looked at me weird. I realized what I said. "Oh, sorry... I..."

Or when a friend of yours says, "Have fun in _____!"

"Thanks! You, too! .... I mean, I will! ..." See how awkward that is? Any of you ever been in that sort of situation? How did you deal with the awkwardness?
