That morning when I came down A very sweet aroma was coming from the kitchen . Holden Knight was cooking breakfast I gasped at him which startled him he turned to me with wide eyes and the spatula in his hand hit the floor.  I couldn't help but laugh at the situation his cheeks and ears turned pinks and his eyes widened further.  Unable to hold my laugh any further I burst into laughter . Until I smell something burning "my pancakes "  he quickly turned to them turning them  over . As I sat down on the counter watching a very naked back of his  I won't say I didn't like what I see because the flexing of his muscles had me thinking  at how hot his back look . Ink covered one side of his back . "Enjoying what you see ?" He asked me arrogantly I scoffed "I have seen better" i added victoriously trust me when I said this I was lying never has I seen a guy half naked at least not willingly .
" You can cook "

"Yes my mother taught me she could cook anything Italian , french , Indian , continental,  Chinese any dish you want and any kind of food you desire  ."Wow" I was impressed .  Me and my mother spend most of out time in this kitchen I helped her Cook and watched her cook simple as that  . So Of course when she died I was the only one cooking. Although I miss her food I can never cook as delicious food as her but I try to ." There was so much sadness in his voice it scared me to see him broken because he has been one of the strongest guy I have seen in my life .

"You know I can't cook anything. Heck i can burn water too ones my father told me to learn cooking it never ended well I almost burned down the kitchen . He grounded me for 2 weeks " Holden eyes innocently widened and then he started laughing never have I seen him laugh that openly.  He practically toppled over in laughter  holding his stomach and tears filled his eyes . I poked my tongue at him which made him smile further "Stop making fun of me " I mocked glare at him . 

"Next time remind me never to let you near my stove I love this place . "I poked my tongue at him as he let out a husky chuckle. "I wanted to ask you something? "

"I know this restaurant well its practically a restaurant and bar . If you wish you can join me tonight they make the best steaks in town . "

"Sure besides I have to confess something to you " I added non Chantilly but then added quickly " I promise no lies this time " . Was I really ready to tell him my past I don't know but I made up my mind I could lie to anyone but not him . He was as equally part of Mike's twisted games as I was . Keeping him dark wouldn't get me any where .

He rubbed the nape of his neck and said"I have some things to confess too lets talk it over dinner tonight " .

Then he carried the cups of tea and breakfast to the table and put it between us . "I want to ask you something " i asked out of nowhere "Two days ago I came down to see no staff and yet there was  breakfast on the table "

"That was me actually I made breakfast and then went to my room " I nodded at him . The rest of our time was spent sharing our most hilarious moments. Until he stood up and washed the dishes and then he left for work.  I perched myself on the sofa to watch movies on my laptop.

"Was I really ready to tell him the whole truth I thought to myself. It was a very bitter reality that made me who I was today.
