Miracles

Lockwood's POV

It's Christmas Eve. George and Holly have decorated the house but I don't feel like celebrating. Not without Lucy. I sit back on my bed and put my face in my hands. I lost her. I lost Luce. I lost more than a friend and a college. I had lost the love of my life. Try as she might, Holly was never going to replace her. George was adapting but in the middle of the night when he thinks I'm asleep he goes into Lucy's old room and cries for awhile. I never say anything. I sigh and pull myself up and off my bed, making my way over to the door.

I step out onto the landing. George is in the shower and Holly has gone home. I make my way down the living room. I keep expecting to see Lucy sitting by the fire asking me to join her. I never do though. I'm holding on to false hope. I look up at the sky and see the first falling flakes of snow. I think back to what Lucy taught me last Christmas. Then I close my eyes.

And I wish. I stand there for a few moments before heading back up to my room. I run into George on the landing. He sniffles.

"Hi." George says it quietly. I smile softly.

"Hi." With that George patters downstairs and into the living room. I walk into my room and close the door. I close my eyes.

Lucy's POV

I step through the portal and I see 35 Portland Row on the other side. I look back but the opening has closed. I step up to the front door. I look over at one of the windows and see George in the living room. Perfect. I step up and ring the bell. George opens the door. His face goes white.

"H-how? Your d-d-dead!" I smile.

"Never underestimate a Carlyle George. I really do think you should know that by now." George tackles me in a hug the cries into my shirt a little. I hug him back.

"Come in Lucy, Lockwood will be so pleased to see you!" I step over the threshold and back to where I truly belong.

Lockwood's POV

George comes and knocks on the door. I open it and he looks positively breathless from excitement. He doesn't say anything, just motions for me to follow him. I do as I'm told.

When we get to the bottom of the stairs George tells me to  close my eyes. I do it dutifully. He leads me a step forward and tells me to stop. I feel him move away. I stand there for a moment before I feel a pair of arms wrap around my neck. They feel..... feminine. I slip my arms around the persons waist without even thinking about it. The person smells like someone I know.

"Can I open my eyes now?" I hear a quiet chuckle.

"Yes." I open my eyes to find none other than.........................................................

LUCY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

"How?" I croak out. Lucy smiled.

"I was allowed to go free. And the Great One heard your wish. I think that helped." I let out a yell and bury my face in her neck.

"Lucy...." I hear a quiet chuckle.

"Hey guys.. Look up ;)" Me and Lucy both look up. Mistletoe. I grin at her. She grins back.

"Might as well!" We both say in unison. And then our lips meet.

Thanks for reading my incredibly nerdy book! I am only planning on writing a few more chapters in this book but be on the lookout for 'The Werewolf at Lockwood and Co.' and other books on other fandoms I'm planning on writing. Until next time my fellow ghost hunters!!!
