Chapter 8: Boom!

(Thunderheart’s p.o.v.)

I looked over a large hill, and saw the red building, which was the facility.

“Of course, the not-so-obvious red building with an easy way to penetrate the chainmail fence that surrounded it. That Goodra better have been right, otherwise, I won't make it to Sinnoh…” I said talking with the thoughts in my mind.

I approached a vent near the southside of the building.

The vent was very dusty, and old, just like everything else that I saw inside.

There appeared to be multiple floors going underground.

I didn’t know whether not to go in with explosions and fire or whatnot, but the thought kinda made me feel satisfied.

There’s something that felt so familiar in this building though, I didn't know what it was, but it had a sense of nostalgia.

“I don’t remember this place, but i feel as if i’ve been here before… Deja vu?” I asked myself.

Making my way through the vents of the underground complex, i thought to myself about this place, of how none of it was recognizable, but yet i felt like i’ve known for a long time.

“This can’t be the place that i was held at in my past, or is it? I don’t know, it's all too confusing now.

I peered through the vent and looked into the hallway below me,as people passed by, and a woman, then turned around which made me see her face.

I then suddenly backed away immediately.

I knew at that split second who the woman was, Lusamine, the president of the Anther foundation.

All those days and weeks ago, when I saw her face, back when I hid in my cage, cowering, not knowing what to do.

“Lusamine…” I whispered, even though she couldn’t hear me or understand me.

She then walked away into another hallway.

I then snuck out of the vent, since there were no more vents to venture and sneak through.

I knew I was at the bottom floor, since the elevator nearby only had an arrow pointing up.

I walked through the hallway, still being on guard and watching for people that guarded the hallway.

I then heard footsteps getting closer, so I jumped up to the ceiling to hide on top of some pipes.

As usual, more guards passed by below me, not noticing me one bit.

I then jumped down to the floor and continued going down the hallway, looking for that Dragonite.

Then i heard an alarm go off…

“Security breach, security breach, maintain a security level of five.” Said an intercom.

I thought I triggered a sort of tripwire, or maybe a security camera saw me, but no, it wasn’t me.

I then heard a large explosion right above me, and the floor caved in and fell on top of me.

While kind of surprised and hurt from that mysterious explosion, i then looked up to see something I wouldn't have expected in all my life…

Necrozma.

Necrozma flew down to the cages nearby and blew one open, and snatched a pokemon from inside, which appeared to be a Manaphy.

Confused, i crawled out of the rubble, amazed at what I just saw and extremely puzzled.

Then, while Necrozma was leaving the complex, it threw a large shadow ball at the building and hit it with such force that it all almost collapsed immediately.

“We need to get out of here!!!” Said a person on the floor above me.

I then looked around frantically, looking for the Dragonite that was supposed to be here, before the whole building collapsed.

Then, at the corner of my eye, I saw a cage in another hallway, and in it, was the Dragonite.

I then rushed over to get the door open.

“Hey, i’m here to get you out of here…” I said without knowing of anything else to say.

“Who are you, and why are you helping me?” Said the Dragonite.

“Goodra sent me… It said that you could give me a lift if i could bust you out, but apparently, another pokemon did that for me…” I said.

I then gave her a stern look, because it was obvious that danger was in the midst and the building was about to collapse.

“I need you to take me to Sinnoh!” I said opening the door.

She hesitated for a moment but then stepped out of the cage.

“Fine, but let’s hurry up and get out of here!” She said flying up through a hole in the first three bottom floors.

I then climbed up the first bottom floor, attempting to reach the surface, but the building crumbled even more.

After a few minutes of crumbling and climbing, I finally made it out.

“Come on, let’s hurry up and go, I need to be free once again…” Said the Dragonite sounding like she hadn’t seen the world for more than a decade.

I got on, and she slowly lifted off the ground, only for me to hear a voice calling for help.

“Wait! There’s someone still in there!” I said.

“Who cares! They locked me up, and I'll never help them for what they did.” Said the Dragonite.

I then hesitated for a moment, but then i jumped off her, saying: “Well, i’m not that way…”

I fell to the ground, running towards the building.

The Dragonite then landed calling for me to get away from there.

I didn’t listen, and ran faster towards the building.

I jumped down the first few floors as they crumbled away.

I could hear the voice getting louder, yet getting more familiar.

Then, I saw her…

Lusamine.

She didn’t have her eyes open, as if she had already given up her life.

I lifted her up, and slowly made my way up to the surface.

The building got more unstable by the second, making my escape harder.

I then reached the surface, with Lusamine in my arms, as the building finally collapsed fully.

I then set her down, and stared at her for a second.

She then opened her eyes and gave me a weak, surprised look.

“Thunderheart……” She said slowly as she sat up staring at me in the eyes.

She struggled reaching her hand out to my face.

I felt her hand on my face, it felt weak, and dusty, and cracked from the destruction.

“You… saved… my life… Why?” She said slowly.

I wanted to speak, but i wouldn’t know what would happen.

“Thank you…” She said.

I then grabbed her hand softly and placed it on her chest, as other people approached my position.

I then quickly got up and ran to Dragonite.

“Let’s go…” I said quickly.

Dragonite then flew up before the people could catch up to see what happened.

I stared down to see her lay on the ground slowly waving, so I implied a short, yet noticeable wave.

After that, Dragonite went up to supersonic speed.

"What was all that about!?" Said Dragonite.

I was still looking back.

"I-I don't know..." I said now looking at the wreckes facility instead of Lusamine.

"You should've let her die in the rubble, i bet she is like any other human." Said Dragonite.

" i'm not like that, i don't tolerate myself to do such thing, to leave any person behind sounds rediculous and non humble. " I said.

Then, with awkward moments of silence, we quieted down.

Flying again, into the unknown, into the storm, I awaited the worst.

My journey would not end until peace was given, and until I was reunited with my friends.

This mission should not and will not fail, and I'll make sure of it.
