Chapter 10: One seed of darkness, One seed of hope
(Silver’s P.O.V.)
“It seems that we went the wrong way…” Said Hayden.
“Yeah, of course we did…” I said, sounding annoyed.
I was trying not to act normal, because I still felt sad that Thunderheart was gone, and the others were too.
“Which legendary pokemon are we trying to find again?” Said Azul.
“For the third time, i don't know. Maybe a pokemon at least a bit less intimidating.” Said Sundew.
I came to the realization that finding a legendary pokemon would not be as simple as I thought it would be.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a meteor went slamming through the trees on top above us.
“WOAH!” Yelled Azul backing away as the rest of us watched the meteor tumble to the ground.
“What is that?” Said Sundew.
“It appears to be a meteor…” I said approaching the meteor.
The others slowly followed behind me.
Then, the meteor crumbled in a singular space and made some sort of door way.
“Silver… i have a bad feeling about this…” Said Inteleon backing away.
I could feel something pulling me toward the meteor, but really, it was only me.
Then, the meteor door opened and we could see a silhouette of something.
“Who summoned me here?” Said the silhouette.
I didn’t know what to say, but thankfully Hayden decided to speak for me.
“We didn’t… But if we did, we wouldn't have known.” Hayden said.
“I don’t see the power that I was promised by the pursuer.” Said the silhouette.
“We never have promised any sort of power, but who are you?” Said Miku.
Then, the figure stepped out into the light, and showed himself.
“Marshadow?” Said Sundew.
“I am not who you really think I am, you see, a reality wave erupted in my universe, and brought me here. Then I heard someone promising me power, so I continued, and ended up in this meteor crashing here.” Said the Marshadow.
“So there are different universes and realities?” Said Sundew.
“Yes, of course there is, and i’ve been all over the place because of a disruption in one of these universes. It appears the disruption came from this universe…” Said the Marshadow.
“That disruption is N and Necrozma. They ravaged the altar of origin and killed Arceus!” Said Blazefire sounding offended in some sort of way.
“No… that can’t be possible…” Said the Marshadow.
“All we know is that Arceus is dead, along with Yveltal, and one of our own… Thunderheart…” Said Sundew, sounding sad afterwards.
“Who is that? I don’t recognize any pokemon by that name.” Asked the Marshadow.
“Thunderheart, he’s a Zeraora, and he was an explorer, just like us. We all went to fight N when we found out what happened. And that’s where he died. He was stabbed by a sword of decay, wielded by N. '' I said, still trying to not think of Thunderhearts death.
“Death is inescapable, imbalance is common, but those who try to fight that imbalance might lose their life.” Said the Marshadow.
“What would you know about life?” I said feeling offended by his speech.
“I’ve never had any friends, or family. I was brought to life by nothing but shadows. So i’m pretty sure i know how it feels, to have nobody, or have nobody anymore.” Said the Marshadow.
I then felt even more sad.
“He fought hard, he fought for us, and once we have what we need, we can fight for his soul’s freedom.” Said Hayden.
“What exactly do you need, may i ask?” Said the Marshadow.
“A legendary or mythical pokemon.” Said Snowcone.
“Very interesting… I could get one for you. But, I'd have to die in order for him to fight for you.” Said the Marshadow.
“No, no, we can’t have anymore people die like this!” Said Blazefire.
“I figured I could do you a favour. I can bring Darkrai here. But he’d have to consume all of my power in order to be satisfied with fighting for you.” Said the Marshadow.
“As i said, we can’t have any more people die like this!” Said Blazefire.
“I’m pretty sure that you have no choice. If this N person keeps consuming the power of dead legendary and mythical pokemon, then he’ll be unstoppable.” Said the Marshadow.
We stood silent for a moment, knowing that Marshadow was right.
“Now, i will transport Darkrai here to our location. Don’t worry about me, just save your world… Okay?” Said the Marshadow.
Surprised by his decision to give his life up for the safety of our world, it reminded me of Thunderheart. He’d risk his own life for our safety. He took the fight to N alone, mostly. He prevented the loss of all of us.
“If you choose to give your life up for this very reason, I am proud. Thunderheart would’ve done the same, just as he did.” I said.
The Marshadow then opened a portal, and in flew Darkrai.
“Who has brought me here?” Said Darkrai.
We were all scared of talking to Darkrai, since it was the master of darkness and nightmares, and since it was legendary.
“I brought you here, Darkrai. I have a requisition. I need you to help these pokemon here in a fight with a power hungry entity.” Said the Marshadow.
“Is this the only reason for summoning me here? What a pity choice…” Said Darkrai.
“Wait… I have a sacrifice, for your power consumption.
I'M THE SACRIFICE.” Said the Marshadow.
“You dare put your life on the line for a simple fight?” Said Darkrai.
“This fight will be more than simple, this entity has consumed the power of three legendary and mythical pokemon, and is planning to consume ALL of the legendary and mythicals’ power.” Said the Marshadow.
“Well… So be it, i will participate in this fight with these other weak souls, for the life of you to be erased…” Said Darkrai.
“So be it…” Said the Marshadow.
Then, within seconds, the Darkrai made a sort of black hole above Marshadow, and sucked him inside.
“Good luck…” Said the Marshadow falling into the black hole.
We all stared at Darkrai as the black hole closed.
“Now… Where is N?”
