A week and two days later, Princess Iris Midgar seemed to have fully recovered after giving birth. Once she had been fully healed, she immediately began practicing with the sword while also training her magical powers, which were very strong. Each swing of her sword caused a large wave of wind everywhere, and anyone who saw this would be impressed by the display of strength and control.

'It's adequate I suppose.'

But for Ryomen Sukuna, who was being handled and cared for by a random maid, which he did not approve of, he was there watching his so-called "mother" train while ignoring the maid who was trying to play with him. Again, he was impressed for how strong she was, especially since as far as he knew at that moment, she was the strongest one here. However...

'But she is filled with so many flaws...'

Sukuna couldn't help but notice so many things that were wrong, and even a little pathetic, with First Princess, which was enough to make him frown.

'First off, her type of fighting style is so one note and uncreative, hardly what I call refined, not to mention limited and leaves her with so many openings for counter attacks.'

The first thing that Sukuna criticized about Midgar was the way she swung her sword. He didn't like it because it seemed boring and useless, leaving her vulnerable to ambush or counter.

'Next, the choice of weaponry is doing nothing more but hold her back from her true strength, it is very obvious that the sword can't properly conduct her magic, hell it's already breaking from channeling too much of it into the piece of metal.'

The second thing Sukuna noticed was the choice of weaponry his mother used, and how it didn't allow her to use her full strength, clearly disliking the idea of being forced to hold back just to avoid breaking her weapon.

"And lastly, speaking of magic, ugh, it's so boring in comparison to what Curse Energy brings to the table, all it does is enhance the strength, durability and speed of the user, though I really shouldn't really judge since I only use my strength and speed, but at least I have options!'

The third and last thing that Sukuna couldn't help but be the most disappointed about was the First Princess's magic in general. While he would deny the benefits it brought him, and how strong it made her, he absolutely hated how simple it was. Sure, the only example of this was his own mother, but even then, it was nothing compared to what he had witnessed during his past life. Magic was nothing but baby stuff for the weak to use.

'Hm, I guess I could share some of my Curse Energy with her, and we can truly see how strong she could become...'

Sukuna did have a moment of interest as the idea of Midgar having and using Curse Energy, even if this world's magic was so unimpressive, he still had to admit that his mother was strong with it, and if she was strong with using such simple powers, he was definitely curious about how strong she could be with his own powers mixed in

'But no, at least not right now, I wish to save such experiments with someone else.'

But Sukuna decided against it in the end, as he had already thought of someone else to use as a lab rat when it comes to seeing what would happen if a mere weakling uses an unknown and unfamiliar power that they're not used to.

'For now, when it comes to my own Mother, I want her to be stronger and more capable than what she is now.'

Some might think Sukuna was being "nice" and "considerate" towards the person who gave birth to him, but judging by the nasty smirk that formed on his lips while unleashing a small amount of Curse Energy, which froze the maid in pure fear, it was clear his intentions were anything but pure or kind

'I would like to fight her properly when I am able to regain my full strength again, and beat her into submission with all my might, oh wouldn't that be so much fun, hehe~...'

Just as Sukuna was about to continue his daydream and look forward to a future where he could fight his mother with all his might, he was suddenly interrupted by the maid, who couldn't stand being around such negativity that he was releasing, and ran away from the fear that brought it. This did not go unnoticed by both him and the First Princess.

"YUGI!"

Iris dropped her sword on the ground as she ran up to her son and wasted no time picking him up and holding him close, no doubt trying her best to comfort him, while also making sure that he was all right and uninjured

'THAT INSOLENT WORM! YOU DARE DROP THE KING OF CURSES?! I'LL KILL YOU! YOUR SCREAM SHALL BE HEARD ACROSS THE WORLD! THAT I PROMISED!'

Sukuna was beyond pissed off at being dropped, and immediately swore revenge for being humiliated in such a way, though from the perspective of the person who gave birth to him, she thought he was crying from being carelessly dropped by the maid

"Don't worry Son, she shall be fired for mishandling you so carelessly."

Once Iris saw that Yugi was unharmed, she decided to quit training for now, as she walked away from the training area to focus on her son and making him feel better.

"Would having a bath and some milk will make you feel any better, Yugi?~"

Ryomen would never admit this, probably due to his pride in being "The Disgraced One", but it was clear that he enjoyed Iris's motherly treatment of him, whether it was because she was the only one who treated him like a true king, or for some other personal reason, it was clear that Sukuna held her in high regard, so much so that he was considering helping her to become stronger than she is now

'If she keeps this up, maybe I'll even consider adding her to my ranks, hehe, we shall see~...'

From what I seen, it is possible to earn Sukuna respect and interest, even if it's only for his own benefits, but not only that, I feel like being raised in a nice home would change his ways a bit, obviously not enough to stop him from being a Unforgivable Bastard, but you know, enough not to kill anyone he dislike instantly.

(His respect for Iris Midgar: 50%, BTW I'm thinking of giving Iris a Curse Weapon, like the ones Maki Zenin wields, any ideas on what kind of weapon it should be?~)
